Why I study Human Nutrition | University College Dublin International Study Centre

I got interested in human nutrition when both
of my parents got diagnosed with diabetes,
I really wanted to make a difference
Looking to the core of the disease, it was
more diet, we have to become a healthier family
and I was reading into it, articles, starting
the gym
So it was just something I was really interested
in, might as well make a career out of it
My parents were really happy with my major
choice
Since they knew what they were going through
they were like, “okay, we’ll have someone
who understands in our life”
Maybe I can help avoid it for later generations
In Kuwait I’d have a future with that, I can
make a change, not only my family but also
education in Kuwait
Walking into UCD, I had no one, I’m like,
“oh, this is going to be so scary”
But it’s such a friendly university and when
I walked in I wasn’t the only person experiencing
this
So, everyone was scared but we all clicked
and made friends easily
For anyone who’s planning on coming to UCD
I would say go for it
It’s such a big campus, it’s gorgeous and
there’s so many faces around so you’d always
be bumping into new people, getting to know
people and the people here are so nice, even
the staff
All my lecturers are very helpful, even though
we’re a small class but they’re so hands
on, so if you needed anything they’re always
there to help
