WHAT I EAT IN A DAY WHILE BREASTFEEDING

WHAT I EAT IN A DAY WHILE BREASTFEEDING

August 31, 2019 100 By William Morgan

– Hi guys, so today I thought I would film
a what I eat in a day video.
It has been ages since
I’ve done one of these
and everyone always seems
to really like them.
So this one is going to be
what I eat in a day
while I’m breastfeeding
and while I’m trying to lose baby weight,
because our baby Jackson
is now two months old
and I still have quite a long way to go.
I’ve lost a stone and a half.
If you’re in Canada or the
U.S., that is about 20 pounds,
but I still have another
20 pounds to lose.
It has slowly been coming
off on its own anyway
and I haven’t gone too crazy
because I am breastfeeding
so I can’t like, cut calories like crazy.
I’m hungry all the time and thirsty
but I think it is because
I’m breastfeeding.
So I’m just trying to be
sensible, eat healthily,
and yeah, so anyway, I
hope you like this video.
I hope you get some inspiration from it.
I’ll also show you what
the kids eat during the day
because I may as well show you
what they’re having as well.
If you’re not subscribed to my channel,
I would love for you to
subscribe and stick around
and yes, I hope you enjoy this video
and thanks so much for watching, bye.
Here’s Jackson, he likes to
just chill out in the bouncer
while the boys eat.
I think he can’t wait to get involved.
What have you got for breakfast?
– I’ve got Cheerios for breakfast.
– [Emily] So Caleb has Cheerios.
He’s got two forks and a spoon to eat it.
They’ve both just had an Actimel.
They have one of these
every day and they love ’em.
Their fruit today is grapes.
They’re both eating grapes
and they both have some water.
And then what are you having, Fraser?
– I’m having a piece of
toast and some grapes.
– [ Emily] Yummy.
Caleb, you made your own
Cheerios, didn’t you?
– [Fraser] And he’s not even eating them.
– That went well.
Alright, so for breakfast,
I’m having a black coffee
in my favorite cup.
This is the Emma Bridgewater cup,
we’ve got loads of these mugs now.
And then I’m having a protein shake.
I actually showed this protein
shake in my morning routine
so sorry if you’ve seen it already,
but I’ve been having this
every day ’cause it’s so yummy.
In this protein shake is
one cup of almond milk,
a big tablespoon of almond butter,
two big scoops of
vanilla-flavored protein powder,
and a massive handful
of baby leaf spinach.
I like to have spinach in it
but you can have any vegetable
in it in the morning.
I’ve had avocado which
makes like a milkshake
or kale is really good in it as well.
This milkshake, I’ve actually ordered,
my friend sells Arbonne, and it’s vegan.
It’s like protein powder but
from cranberries and peas.
It’s really, really healthy and it’s fine
if you’re breastfeeding so
that is why I’m using this one.
I’ve got it in vanilla
and in chocolate as well,
but I prefer the vanilla.
I’m just gonna whiz that up
and have that and my coffee
and then that be my breakfast.
It’s about 8:30 now and I
just wanted to show you this.
This is my water bottle that
I walk around with all day.
It has times on it and it has amounts
that you should be drinking
so I’m right on track
because I said I was
gonna show you guys this,
but by 8:30, you should
have drunk to there,
by nine, 10, all the way down
and then you refill it up again
and then it goes one p.m., two p.m.,
three p.m., four p.m., five p.m.
It’s just a really great
way to keep you motivated
to drink more throughout the day
because sometimes I like at and I’m like,
“Oh my gosh, it’s 10:00,
I should have drunk
“half of this by now.”
So it’s great, especially
while I’m breastfeeding,
I really need to keep my fluids up.
So I’ve been using this the whole time.
My husband makes fun of me
with my big blue water bottle
but I take it to bed, I have it all day,
and it’s just great to keep me drinking.
We’re out for lunch now at
one of our favorite cafes.
Jackson’s having a boob-a-cino.
I’m having smoked salmon
and scrambled egg on granery
and another coffee, some water as well.
Hey love, what have you got for lunch?
You have a cheese sandwich, banana,
some carrots, cucumber,
and chocolate footballs.
Likes footballs more than the sandwich.
Alright, the boys are having
an afternoon snack now
and Caleb is having an apple, peeled,
no skin on, that’s very important.
– I’ve got snacks.
– [Emily] What have you got?
You’ve got grapes, but
you don’t like them?
– No.
– No.
You just had an apple.
Oh, I’ve just dropped all
the grapes (laughing).
Yeah, so he’s having an apple.
He’s really hungry ’cause you
know that cheese sandwich?
He had like two bites.
– [Male] Jackson’s having
a shoulder of human.
– Jackson is here.
Fraser just had a bag
of skips, didn’t you?
Well, I’m just waiting
for the boys’ dinner
to cool down but I thought
I’d show you their place mats
because lots of people ask me on Instagram
where they’re from.
Right, so we got these place mats
from Not On the High Street.
I got them, I thought
they were really cute
with the letters and how
each letter is an animal.
And the boys really,
really seem to like them.
When I ordered them, I
also ordered Jackson one,
although he doesn’t eat.
I thought, “How can I order
them one without him,”
so it’s really for when
he does start eating.
Fraser has this Spiderman fork and knife.
Caleb has the Ninja Turtle set as well,
so he’s got the knife and fork.
And then their cups and plates
are the Emma Bridgewater,
I think it’s called
melamine on the website,
and lots of people ask me
about those plates as well.
I really love their stuff.
So the Emma Bridgewater plates,
I got them in stars and spots.
I feel like this dinner
that I’ve done for the kids
is a really uninspiring dinner
but it’s been one of those days
where I’ve had a few work calls
and I just wanted to make a quick dinner
so it’s kind of a dinner from the freezer,
so I’ll show you what I’ve done.
They’re having chicken nuggets,
but I ran out of chicken nuggets
so there’s also one random
fish finger for Fraser.
– [Fraser] I like chicken nuggets.
– [Emily] You do, don’t you?
And then we’ve got sweet potato chips
which Fraser, in particular,
seems to really like.
And then we’ve got green beans.
With the green beans, the boys
can have green bean races.
I’ll show you what I mean.
Oh, use your fork, use your fork.
– [Robot] Hello, hello.
– [Emily] This is a new robot we’ve got.
What’s he called?
– Mip.
– [Emily] Mip.
Let’s see him dance.
– [Male] Green bean race.
Ready, set,
ah, you’re cheating, go!
And the winner is Fraser.
– And me!
– Boys did really well
at dinner and ate lots,
so they’re getting pudding
and they’re having…
Oreo ice creams.
That’s one of your favorites.
Right, it’s dinner time now
and we are having chili.
This is one we make all the time
because it’s quick, easy, healthy, yummy.
Here it is.
So we serve on brown rice and
how we make the chili itself
is we fry up onions, peppers, 5% beef,
kidney beans in the chili sauce,
add some beef stock and
then we simmer it all up
for 10 minutes and then on
top there is creme fraiche
mixed with lime juice.
It’s like a really nice topping.
Coriander and then a bit more lime.
So this one is really, really yummy.
The best thing about this meal is
I can eat it one-handed.
Alright, so it’s after dinner now
and I really want something sweet,
but I’m trying to be so good.
So I’m having raspberries
and a few blueberries
that we had left as well,
with maple syrup on top,
and then I’ve got a decaf peppermint tea.
So that is all I’m gonna have today.
Thank you so much for watching
and I will see you soon.
Bye.
