What I eat in a day on a Keto Diet

hi guys so welcome back and today we’ll
be talking a little bit more about what I eat
in a day from breakfast all the way to
dinner especially on this keto diet it’s
very important for what you eat eat and what you
don’t eat because that is what is going
to make you lose weight at the same time
I also be covering some general rules of
what i eat and what I don’t eat as well if you
don’t know what I’m talking about right
now just watch back to my previous video
and you will know more to start off on what i eat
in a day I need to share about what I
don’t eat in a day as well there are
three main buckets that I generally
avoid in all my food and all my meals
one would be carbs so carbs would be things
like your rice your noodles anything
like grainy and like wheaty and carby okay
I’m sure you guys know what carbs are
additionally there are some items they
also higher in carbs for example root
vegetable so your potatoes your carrots
pumpkins
yeah so this kind of root vegetables
they are high in carb as well so just
avoid them so secondly would be sugar so
for sugar I totally cut sugar so no
sugar in my tea no sugar in my coffee no
carbonated drinks no Coke no diet no
coke zero none of that okay so no sugar
at all sugar for me it’s quite easy to
remove because generally I don’t really
like sugary drinks like coke and
carbonated drinks so the difficult part
of this is when you wanna drink bubble
tea so in the past I used to drink one
bubble tea a day 0% sugar but it has milk
tea and pearls so pearls are very very high
carb because it is made of tapioca for the
normal milk that you buy from the
supermarkets they are all sweetened milk so
because of that generally I also avoid
dairy I eat cheeses and sweetened yogurt
but I don’t drink milk at all and my
third bucket is actually a sub point of sugar
which is fruits so sugar turns into
glucose in your body and that’s where
you get your energy from right now
before you start keto and same for
fruits first turn into fructose which is
also a form of sugar for your body to
generate
energy okay so these are the three main
buckets that I totally don’t eat
although there are some exceptions to
fruits but I generally just avoid fruits
overall so that I don’t get the craving
so much when I go into the diet so there are a few kind of fruits they are carby
fruits like bananas
there are sweet fruits like apples
mangoes and there are also acidic foods
which is like berries and also lemon and
lime the third one is the one that you
should eat if lets say you really really
want some fruits avoid the rest then
when I get my vitamins and fiber from so
fiber comes from your vegetables so I
generally take like the vitamin pills to
actually help with my body and help the
nutrients in terms of my vitamins so
yeah these three buckets there also a few kinds of foods you should avoid okay so
number one will be alcohol number two
will be legumes.. (LE GU MES?)
it’s like like be some bean thing okay
so I generally dont eat beans because they
are generally higher in carb in my
typical day I will actually eat about
four meals yes yeah I wouldn’t say
four meals by like three meals plus a
snack I’m gonna explain to you in
my normal day what my meal plan looks like
my breakfast will always be one avocado
one full avocado so I’ll just cut it and
bring it to work and I just have it at
work on a weekend if I have time I will
have two eggs together with my avocado
so these two eggs can come in any kind
of style I can have like omelette with
cream cheese sunny-side up so basically
just 2 eggs and an avocado for weekends
when you start keto and you try to eat a
full avocado by yourself
please note that your stomach might be
nauseous your stomach is not adapted that
amount of fat content that you’re having
and ingesting
just slowly pump it up you can eat
half first and then have half for like
snack or like tomorrow morning for lunch
generally I’m new prep so every week I
will prepare one week worth of meal prep
for me to have during lunch and I uploaded
quite a few recipes for basic recipes
like cauliflower rice or like your bread
buns I also uploaded some of my favorite
recipes as well which is like your
kimchi pork belly whoa that’s so good yeah and
curry chicken that’s also very good I
will have one every day
I’ll heat it up in office and now I have it
and then yeah so that’s my lunch
basically so after lunch I will have a
snack because I can’t stop eating my mouth
just needs to keep chewing
so I prepare one small serving of nuts
that I bring to work so I buy almonds
and pecans
they are the nuts that has the lowest carbs so I actually keep them with me
every day
just one little serving I put in my bag
and yeah so that’s my snake time if we
are thinking of having something more
indulgent seaweed snacks are actually the
closest to the requirements of the keto
diet another point that I would like to
share especially for prepackaged food is
that make sure you look at the table of
contents the table about how much sugar
and how much carbohydrate they are so
make sure you read that before you
actually purchase and sometimes if you
wanna like eat something good choose the
one with the lowest carbohydrate and sugar
for dinner I go to the Hawker centers
although I go to anywhere basically and
then I buy something that is very
selective for keto for example I eat
like Yong tau foo which is like a fish
cake soup thing then I don’t order
noodles and I told otherwise I can also
order my mala it is a spicy stir fry from
sichuan
so I order everything all the ingredients
that I can eat and I don’t order any
rice or noodles or I can go to hawker
centers and I eat vegetable rice which
is cai fun and I don’t have any fan
which is rice I just don’t
order any rice or noodles or anything
carby basically what do I drink in a
day but I’ve mentioned just now I don’t
really like to drink carbonated drinks
or sugary drinks so there’s only two
options for me generally which is water
ice water and tea ice tea yeah so these are two
things I drink on a daily basis I don’t
really drink other things I mean as
easy as it sounds this about my meals
every day you might be that were like
is she done with what she eats in a
day yeah basically that’s about what
i eat in a day and its short and sweet very very
clear-cut just be selective of what you eat
make sure that you are eating enough healthy fats
so my healthy fats come from
avocados and my nuts quote of the day is no
carbs no sugar no fruits alright what I
eat in a day is not as important as what
I should not eat so that actually
concludes why in a day I hope you
realize how easy it is to keto you
just need to fight the battle within
yourself the temptations you just need
to say no no no no no no so in my next
