Weight Loss on High Carb Diet | क्या ज़्यादा कार्बोहाइड्रेट खाने के बाद भी वज़न कम होता है?

I have recently posted a video on Keto Diet

does it help in weight loss
a viewer asked me this question on that video
can we loose weight even if we follow a high carb diet?
I have already made a separate video on calorie count for weight loss
but it wasn’t a direct video
that’s why I want to explain this again in detail
For weight loss, there needs to be a calorie deficit
Calorie expenditure should be more than calorie intake
weight loss happens only in this case
The source of the total calorie intake does not matter as long as the required amount of calories are consumed
For example
Your calorie expenditure is 2000 calories
and you are aiming to consume 1500 calories for weight loss
If these 1500 calories come entirely from carbs,
weight loss will happen even in this case
but what do we need to understand here is
What is weight?
Weight=Lean body mass(Muscle+Water+Bones) + Fat
when we talk of weight loss
then we should focus on losing fat and not lean body mass
In lean body mass, muscles are more important
So when you try to loose weight by consuming high carb diet
in this case , muscle is also lost
and when there is muscle loss, there are more chances of gaining back this weight in the future
because muscles help maintain body’s metabolic rate
Better the quality of muscles=More the metabolic rate
and when you try to loose weight through high carb diet
then your muscles are also lost along with fat
which will reduce your metabolic rate
and in the future when you have achieved your target
and when you return back to your previous diet, then the weight gain will happen quite rapidly
That’s why you should include protein and fat also in your diet
This will protect your lean body mass i.e. the muscles
And the weight loss will be primarily (80-90%) from fat
This is a healthy weight loss
and is more sustainable
which you can maintain for a long time
I would like to give you a break up of a healthy diet plan again
for a healthy weight loss, there should be 25-30% protein
Fat=15-20%
and the remaining can be from carbs
this will result in a healthy weight loss
