Weekday Morning Routine & Keto Cake Recipe! [CC]
Good morning! As you know my health condition is episodic, so here’s my morning routine on a good day and on a bad day
Make sure you keep watching until the end to see my bad morning routine
I’m woken every morning at 6.30am by Matilda, who is an early bird like me…
but I’m also woken up by the desperate need to take my pills!
On days when I’m not sleeping with my hair in rollers but still want it to look nice the next day
I put it in a high ponytail and wrap a silk scarf around it.
This keeps it lovely an smooth and protects the curls from being crushed by my heavy head.
I have to eat before taking my pills and this coconut microwave cake is by far the best
quick, low carb and gluten free breakfast. It’s also a cake.
And who doesn’t want to eat cake for breakfast?
I’ve put the recipe into a blog post, which I’ll leave in the description box.
If you’re not gluten free but still want a quick and easy breakfast cake
then you can easily swap the coconut flour for regular flour or almond flour.
I make this cake so often I don’t measure things any more, I can just do it by eye.
Quick dance break with Tilly!
Voila! You can tip it out… or save on washing up and eat from the bowl.
I love it with soya yogurt and frozen berries.
Part of my connective tissue disorder is having trouble swallowing
Although I’m currently seeing a speech language team to help with this
I can’t eat dry foods and always have to put a wet thing with them
Boom. Six pills in one go!
Tilly tries to open the door
Feeding time for the little ones!
Time to make Claudia’s lunch for her.
She’s not exactly what you might call ‘a morning person’…
We’re perfectly matched since by the evening I can often be too ill or fatigued to stand.
She helps me so much that it’s really nice to be able to do this for her…
I also love experimenting with food so she sometimes gets very surprising packed lunches!
I haven’t poisoned her yet so it’s going well.
Time for the infamous tea! That’s a terrible shot Jessica. Hang on: here’s a photo.
It’s Walter and Tilly on a mug!
Clara and Evelina gave us this mug for my birthday and it is the best thing ever!
I gave this sun lamp alarm clock to Claud last year to help with her Seasonal Affective Disorder
Otherwise known as:
and it’s really helped! I would definitely advise you to get one if you also struggle with mornings.
when we first met she told me three essential truths about herself:
I’ve even found it inside a freshly opened packet of tights!
To be honest, even grunting is sometimes a bit beyond her!
and standing, or raising her head
Tilly is forever hopeful that shoes mean she’s going for a walk. Sorry pal.
Aaand then I have a little rest whilst answering some comments.
Flashing doorbell for the deaf
A quick brush through the hair, a flash of red lipstick and we’re done!
Now on to my bad morning routine
Yep, that’s it. I’m done
