VEGAN PHO » easy vietnamese noodle soup
Hey, welcome back to Pick up limes.
I’m Sadia and I had realized that it’s been a little while since I’ve shared a Pick up limes video recipe.
So, here we go.
Some of you have been requesting soups and others have been requesting dinners.
So I thought why not just combine the two.
I’m really excited to share this one with you: my favorite vegan pho recipe.
Now, I think this video deserves just a little prelude.
For those of you who don’t know what pho is
it’s just a vietnamese noodle soup.
And if you’ve ever visited Vancouver, Canada or if you live there, like I did for 13 years,
then you’ll know that it boasts a plethora of delicious pho restaurants.
But since having moved to live in the Netherlands I can say with confidence
I miss my pho.
But I’m not going to complain.
I mean, what’s a girl to do but learn to make her own.
And let me show you how it’s done.
Pho goodness sake, how amazing did that look!
And of course it tastes delicious too.
But I do need to be honest about something.
The first two times that I tried pho
I really didn’t care for it, and I did not understand the hype.
Until the third time when I started to learn to use all of the condiments
that are made available to you when they serve this bowl.
So, if you’re making it for yourself at home
go ahead and garnish the plate plenty with thing like:
green onions, sliced jalapeno peppers, fresh bean sprouts, fresh lime juice, fresh basil leaves,
of course you don’t want to miss that one,
or any other fresh herbs or veggies you’d like to add.
And of course don’t forget the sauces either.
I mean, I could never go without hoisin in my pho.
It’s my favorite part of this noodle bowl for sure.
And adding some kind of chilli sauce is a must too – if you like it spicy.
Now, you just mix it all together and enjoy this slurp for the meal.
Alright, guys. So, that’s it for today.
As always, if you want to get a breakdown of this recipe
you can find a link in the description box below that’s going to take you to the blog post
where you can look through some more tantalizing pictures.
Or just grab your PDF of the recipe
which is going to make it easier for you when you’re in the kitchen preparing this meal.
Alright. I hope you guys have a wonderful week. Happy slurping and until next time.
