(calm music) – Before coming into this course, the process of taking food
from the farm to the table was really out of sight,
out of mind for me. Didn’t even know that our diet, it was based almost entirely on corn. – There are a lot more areas of study than I initially thought that it would just mostly be scientists of economists and analysts, but there’s so much more to that. – They were talking about food disparity within other products and how it changes depending
on what you’re eating. – Global sustainability
strand has one credit in AP Environmental Science, and then we are partnered
with an economics course. Our students have a one-on-one mentor. Students really have a
lot of hands-on experience in the lab, guest instructors. – We’re actually allowing
students to go out into the world and experience some of the things that they’re learning
about in the textbook. – [Narrator] If you’re interested
