DR. COLBERT: Now, so
many people think, “This
body is mine. I can give it
anything I want. I can feed it
ice cream, cake, cookies,
every–all the chips, and all
the processed food I want.”
But, no, this is not your body.
(Singing) I know my God
has made the way for
me. I know my God has
made the way for me.

on today’s Believer’s
Voice of Victory.
KENNETH: Hello, everybody.
I’m Kenneth Copeland.
This is the Believer’s Voice of
Victory broadcast. And I’ve got
an announcement today. Jesus is
alive. He is seated at the right
hand of majesty. Glory to God.
And prayer in His name still
changes things. Ha-ha-ha-ha.
It’s time to shout, “Amen,” in
the household of faith.
(Audience “Amens”) (Laughs)
Hallelujah! Oh, I’m a happy man.
Ha-ha. Father, we thank You for
this broadcast today. AUDIENCE:
Thank You, Jesus. KENNETH: We
praise You, we worship You
today. And we ask You–we open
our hearts, and we open our
minds for revelation from
heaven, most especially in the
area that we’re studying Your
Word, in this area that has
caused so many people–millions
and millions of people, it’s
caused them heartache and pain,
and it’s killing people. And we
thank You for the revelation
from heaven of Jesus the
deliverer. Hallelujah. And we
thank You for it. All of the
glory goes to the matchless name
of Jesus. Amen. (Audience
“Amens”) Join me today in
welcoming Dr. Don Colbert
to this studio. Praise God.
Hallelujah. (Applause) We’ve got
a great studio audience here,
people from our staff and the
EMIC staff, and partners.
Whoo-wee! Ha-ha. Amen.
Hallelujah. Proverbs 23, let’s
look at this first. That’s
our–our golden text for this
week. And we’re talking
about–and we–Don Colbert, as
you know, I meant–introduced
him a moment ago. And he’s been
here Monday and Tuesday. His
new book, “The Keto Zone Diet,”
don’t let the word “diet” fool
yeah. Let’s–the Keto Zone
lifestyle. DR. COLBERT: Amen.
KENNETH: Where your–the–we’ll
talk about that in a minute. But
now, this is–you cannot deal
with food intake just in the
natural. Flesh can’t get victory
over flesh. Spirit gets victory
over flesh. And those things
that are spirit are spirit, and
those things that are flesh are
flesh. And if the spirit is not
in place, if the Word of God is
not in place, you’re struggling,
and you’re going to struggle for
the rest of your life. AUDIENCE:
That’s right. KENNETH: Now,
there are people that have
been fairly victorious in it,
but struggle like dogs,
man. They just cared
more for their health
and–but you can do it
this way with a smile. DR.
COLBERT: Yes. Absolutely right.
KENNETH: And that revelation
comes, like you were talking
about Monday. DR. COLBERT:
Right. KENNETH: “When you
sit to eat with a ruler,
consider diligently what is
before you: put a knife to your
throat, if you be a man given to
appetite. Be not desirous of his
dainties, they are deceitful
meat.” That’s deceitful food.
It’s food that’s not food.
DR. COLBERT: Right. AUDIENCE:
That’s right. KENNETH: Now, I
want us to look at something
else today. I want to look at
two other scriptures.
In–(Clears Throat)–excuse
me–Genesis 6:3, this is
the only place in the Word
of God–and notice it’s in
the book of Genesis. It’s
in the beginning. DR. COLBERT:
Mm-hmm. KENNETH: I’m working
on something here. DR.
COLBERT: Right. I know
where you’re going.
KENNETH: “My Spirit shall
not always strife with man,
for that he is also flesh.” One
translation said, “He is only
flesh.” Well, back there then,
He was only flesh. But know He
has the opportunity to be born
again. Now He’s Spirit, soul,
and– DR. COLBERT: Right.
KENNETH: –flesh. But He said
that “his days shall be 120
years.” The Hebrew text
literally says, “his normal life
span will be 120.” Now, here is
the revelation: You don’t find
what God said about food
until you get on over here in
Leviticus. DR. COLBERT: Right.
And Deuteronomy, correct.
KENNETH: Yeah. So all that God
had to–this is huge, that he
had something to say about food.
DR. COLBERT: Mm-hmm.
KENNETH: Because every–when
he says, “With long life I’ll
satisfy you,” that’s based on
120. You don’t have a right to
just make up your mind what
long life is. AUDIENCE: Right.
KENNETH: God’s already said
it’s 120. That’s His standard
for long life. And He
intended for you to live
that long. AUDIENCE: Amen.
KENNETH: So everything He
said about food, everything
He said about faith, everything
He said about dealing with
the human mind, the renewing
of the mind, is all based on
at least 120 years in the earth.
DR. COLBERT: Right.
KENNETH: And the body
will still do it if you’ll
deal with the same thing,
deal with the food, deal
with the spirit, the Word,
deal with the mind. And
you can go 120. I only got
39 years to go. (Laughter) And
I am– DR. COLBERT: Amen.
KENNETH: –I have just taken
the best physical examination
I have ever had in my 81 years.
DR. COLBERT: Praise God.
AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. DR.
COLBERT: Praise God.
KENNETH: I’m telling you, bar
none. I’m not–I’m talking about
the days I was playing
ball and all that, I was
nowhere in as good a
shape as I am right now.
DR. COLBERT: Praise God.
AUDIENCE: Praise God.
Hallelujah. DR. COLBERT:
Well, remember, Moses, in
Deuteronomy, when he climbed
Mount Nebo at 120 years, it says
“his eyesight was not dim–”
AUDIENCE: That’s right.
DR. COLBERT: “–nor were his
natural strength abated.” In
other words, he was strong. I
see Moses as 120 years old,
not an old, bent-over, old man–
KENNETH: Yeah. DR. COLBERT:
–walking with a cane. KENNETH:
Yeah. DR. COLBERT: No eyesight;
with, you know, glasses. They
didn’t have glasses back then,
but having to have someone lead
him by the hand and have them
push him up the mountain. But
here he climbed this mountain,
Mount Nebo in the wilderness. He
was 120 years old. He could see
into the promised land a hundred
or more miles. Can you imagine
his eyesight like an eagle?
KENNETH: Yeah. DR. COLBERT: And
then his strong, straight–I
could see him with strong,
straight posture, strong
muscles. But again, what has
happened to America? What has
happened? We have–now, he was
eating manna. That was perfect
food. That was God’s food,
rained down from heaven. It had
the perfect amount of fats, the
perfect amount of carbohydrates,
which were low, by the way, and
the perfect amount of protein.
It was perfect food. And that’s
why no one was sick in the
wilderness for 40 years. Isn’t
that amazing? KENNETH: Yeah, it
was. DR. COLBERT: Now again,
this is not manna. But this
program, The Keto Zone, again,
turns down inflammation in the
body. Inflammation is the root
cause of over 90 percent of
diseases. And so what I have
found, so many people come in to
see me, and they may have Type
II diabetes, and they say, “Hey,
Dr. Colbert, here, I’ve got Type
II diabetes. I’m taking these
meds. You know, my sugar’s still
high.” And I look at their diet,
and what are they eating?
Sugars, carbs, starches at every
meal and between meals. And I
say, “Do you want to–”
KENNETH: So actually, that’s
sugar, sugar, sugar. DR.
COLBERT: That’s right.
KENNETH: Yeah. DR.
COLBERT: Exactly right. So
I said, “Do you want to
reverse this diabetes?”
“Oh, yes, Dr. Colbert, I–I
want to reverse diabetes
more than anything, more than
anything.” “Okay,” I said, “this
is real simple.” In about
three months, we can
usually–usually–reverse
diabetes, Type II now, not Type
I. If you’re a Type I diabetic,
do not stop your insulin. Don’t.
This is only for Type II
diabetes. If you’ve had Type II
diabetes usually for less than
10 years and you get off the
sugars, carbs, and starches,
lower your carb intake to 20
grams a day, we can usually
reverse it. You know what many
of them say? “I don’t want to do
that.” They fold their arms like
this, and they look up and say,
“I don’t want to do that. I
can’t give that up. I would
rather take my insulin and take
these pills every day and eat
what I want.” AUDIENCE: Wow.
KENNETH: And it’ll still kill
you. DR. COLBERT: And that’s
exactly right. And they are
unknowingly signing up for every
major diseases–every major
disease out there by doing so,
by choosing that. Also, so many
people with–now, again, some
people said, “Yes.” And
generally, within three months,
as long as their diabetes, Type
II diabetes, is less than 10
years, generally speaking,
we can reverse it within
three–sometimes six months. But
again, we combine it with–we
balance their hormones, we put
them on an exercise program, we
give them the right food. But
many times, just the diet alone.
KENNETH: Let me interject
something right here. I’m going
to use Gloria as an example. DR.
COLBERT: Okay. KENNETH: How many
years had Gloria preached
healing? How many years have I
preached healing? DR. COLBERT:
50 years plus. KENNETH: And here
she–she didn’t realize it until
Dr. Colbert, in–in her blood
work, saw her blood sugar going
up. Well, of course, we prayed
over it. Of course, we confessed
the Word. Of course, we did all
this. It didn’t change anything.
And it won’t. It won’t. Are you
hearing me? AUDIENCE: Yes.
KENNETH: The healing power of
God– “Well, why didn’t God
heal–” The healing power of God
was working. But you’re
counteracting it all the time.
I’ve seen this happen over and
over and over over the years,
and just want to sit down and
weep because I know the healing
power came– DR. COLBERT: Yes.
KENNETH: –but people are not
receiving it. DR. COLBERT: Yes,
yes. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: It
has to be received. DR. COLBERT:
Amen. Amen. AUDIENCE: That’s
good. KENNETH: So–and–and
Doc talked to her about it and
talked to her about it and
talked to her about it, and she
didn’t want to do that.
DR. COLBERT: Hmm-mm.
KENNETH: And it just kept
elevating, kept elevating, kept
elevating. And finally —
ha-ha-ha — finally, you and
Carlo both sat her down and
said, “Now, listen. Do you
want to take insulin with a
needle?” If–she just actually
didn’t realize– DR. COLBERT:
Right. KENNETH: It just never
got through. She’s a good
example– DR. COLBERT: Right.
KENNETH: –of what you were
talking about. DR. COLBERT:
Sure. KENNETH: Went on
this. AUDIENCE: Come on.
KENNETH: How long did it
take? AUDIENCE: Praise God.
DR. COLBERT: Just–just a month
or two. KENNETH: Yeah, just a–
DR. COLBERT: A month or two
maybe. KENNETH: –month or two,
something like that. DR.
COLBERT: Hardly any–no time.
KENNETH: Right back down to
where it belonged. DR. COLBERT:
Yeah. AUDIENCE: Praise God.
KENNETH: And now you can’t get
her off of it. AUDIENCE: That’s
right. DR. COLBERT: Ha-ha.
KENNETH: You know, she was
down to where she could eat a
little toast here and there. “I
don’t want to do that.” (Laughs)
Yeah, she’s gone in gear over on
there. She don’t want to go back
to that. Isn’t that wonderful?
DR. COLBERT: Well, absolutely.
And so– KENNETH: Now, see, the
healing power of God was there,
of course, because when she
started doing what she’s
supposed to do. I’m telling you,
the power of God started working
on that pancreas, and it started
straightening things out.
(Audience Agrees) DR. COLBERT:
Absolutely right. KENNETH: And
her body was no longer sensitive
to insulin and all that. Well,
the healing power was there all
the time. You just needed to cut
the sugar out. AUDIENCE: Amen.
That’s it. DR. COLBERT: Well,
it’s kind of like you can have
the best Mercedes, Rolls
Royce–and this is what I tell
to a lot of my patients. Or you
can have, you know, a BMW or
some amazing car. But if you put
the wrong gas in it or if you
don’t change the oil, then all
of a sudden, that nice car–
KENNETH: You’ll tear it up.
DR. COLBERT: –it–it doesn’t
run right. It doesn’t run right.
And that’s–the body’s so much
more important. So I love the
analogy that we’ve got to love
our bodies enough to put the
right fuel mixture in. KENNETH:
What? “Know ye not that your
body is the temple of
the Holy Ghost which is
in you, which you have of
God, and you are not your
own? You were bought with a
price: glorify God in your body
and in your spirit.” DR.
COLBERT: Amen. (Audience
“Amens”) Amen. Now, so many
people think, “This body’s mine.
I can give it anything I want. I
can feed it ice cream, cake,
cookies, every–all the chips
and all the processed food
I want.” But, no, this is not
your body. KENNETH: No, it is
not. DR. COLBERT: This body
was bought–as long as you’re
a Christian. If you’re a
Christian, your body was
bought– KENNETH: It’s not your
own. DR. COLBERT: –by the blood
of Jesus, and it’s no longer
your own. KENNETH: I can–I can
help you here just–just one
quick word here, Don. In that
12th chapter, “–therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God,
that you present your body a
living sacrifice–” You need to
take communion and be serious.
DR. COLBERT: Amen. Amen.
(Audience Agrees) KENNETH:
“–present your body a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto
God, which is your reasonable
service.” I–I–that really got
hold of me after– DR. COLBERT:
Amen. KENNETH: –being in the
ministry years and years. And I
thought, “I’ve never really
taken that serious, seriously
enough.” So I took communion.
I did that. And–and the Lord
ministered this to me. To renew
my mind for several–I would say
at least two years–anyway,
an extended period of time, I
didn’t call it “my body.” This
is “my sacrifice.” DR. COLBERT:
Mm. Praise God. It’s revelation,
see. KENNETH: And I came to a
place, oh, God, I–it’s just
such a holy moment, it–glory to
God. DR. COLBERT: Amen.
KENNETH: I was reaching 80
years old and 78, 79. Pain,
tired. DR. COLBERT: Right.
KENNETH: That it wouldn’t–it
refused to quit. I’m going the
whole road. DR. COLBERT:
Right, amen. KENNETH: And
I’m–I’m going, and I’m
praying, and–and things
are working. And–and
the Word of the Lord
came to me. It was almost
audible. It was so powerful.
Jesus said, “I sacrificed
my body for yours.”
DR. COLBERT: Mm. KENNETH: “Now
you’re sacrificing your body for
mine.” DR. COLBERT: Praise
God. Praise God. Now, that’s
revelation. KENNETH: Because
I don’t quit preaching when
I– DR. COLBERT: Yes. KENNETH:
You know, I– DR. COLBERT: Yes.
KENNETH: –could quit at 80, 85
years old. DR. COLBERT: Yes.
KENNETH: No. I’m going the whole
road. DR. COLBERT: (Laughs)
AUDIENCE: Amen. Praise God.
KENNETH: And I’m–you know–and
He gave me a choice. He said, “I
don’t have to do that.” He said,
“You–you’ve spent 50 years at
this and been–” you know. I
said, “No, sir.” I–this is what
I choose. I choose to go on.
DR. COLBERT: Praise God.
KENNETH: And He said–this is
just so precious to me. He said,
“I sacrificed My body for yours,
and now you’re sacrificing
your body for Mine.”
DR. COLBERT: Praise
God. That’s awesome.
KENNETH: And we’re talking
to His body right now.
DR. COLBERT: Amen. Praise
God. KENNETH: See?
AUDIENCE: Oh, that’s
beautiful. DR. COLBERT: Isn’t
that revelation, Church?
KENNETH: Amen. AUDIENCE: Wow.
(Audience Agrees) DR.
COLBERT: Praise God.
You have just had your “aha”
moment. AUDIENCE: That’s
right. DR. COLBERT: And
you are ready now to present
your body a living sacrifice,
and, again, to lay on the altar
the foods, because this
body is not your own.
DR. COLBERT: Amen. DR.
COLBERT: You’ve been bought
by the price, by the blood
of Jesus. So now it’s easy.
KENNETH: Yeah. DR. COLBERT:
You’ve got your epiphany, your
revelation. Your “aha” moment is
there. Now, get–first of all,
we–get dedicated to the
program. Commit yourself to the
program. AUDIENCE: Yes. DR.
COLBERT: Make that commitment,
“I’m going to do it.” I tell
people, “at least three weeks,
give yourself three weeks.” That
forms your habit. And then for
you strong people that will
continue the commitment, give
yourself three months. It’ll
become part of your lifestyle.
KENNETH: Yes, sir. Yes, sir. DR.
COLBERT: When you become part
of–when you do three months,
boom, you’re on it then. But let
me give you a little example. I
had a patient–now, the way this
started–you say, “Dr. Colbert,
how did you get on this program?
I thought you didn’t like
diets.” Well, this is a
lifestyle. But how it started
was, over 10 years ago, I
started having so many patients
come to me with advanced cancer,
that said, “Hey, I’ve gone to my
doctors, gone to my oncologist.
It’s stage four. I’ve only been
given three months to live. I’m
in hospice now. Is there
anything, Dr. Colbert, you can
do?” I didn’t know. I said,
“Lord, I’ve got to get more
information, knowledge.”
KENNETH: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
DR. COLBERT: “I’ve got to get
Your–I’ve got to get your mind
on this.” KENNETH: Yeah. DR.
COLBERT: So I enrolled in
courses. I took a fellowship in
integrative cancer care on
nutrition, diet, everything, on
how to care for advanced cancer
patients. And after a couple of
years of this, I finally went to
my head instructor, and I said,
“Listen, I see all these things.
There’s no silver bullet. What’s
the key? What’s the key?” He
says, “I’ve been studying cancer
for decades.” He says, “The only
true key I have found is the
ketogenic diet.” But he quickly
added, “But no one can follow
that long term.” So at that
point, I started working with
advanced cancer patients. I put
them on this type of program. I
monitored them. But instead of
70 percent fat, I put them on 80
percent fat. I lowered their–I
cut out all processed meats.
Processed meats like bacon,
sausage invite cancer into your
body. It’s a group 1 carcinogen
according to the World Health
Organization. KENNETH: Mm-hmm,
mm-hmm. DR. COLBERT: So I cut it
out. Now, for you guys, I’m not
saying you can never eat bacon,
but you don’t want to eat a lot
of bacon. And you don’t want to
eat it every day. So again, we
use moderation. But if you have
advanced cancer, you want to lay
the bacon on the altar. KENNETH:
Turkey bacon. DR. COLBERT:
Sausage–yes, turkey bacon’s
better, yes. KENNETH: Turkey
bacon. DR. COLBERT: But what
I found, I found that many of
these patients with advanced
cancers that were only given
three months to live, that were
living in hospice, started
living years. KENNETH: Yes, sir.
AUDIENCE: Amen. DR. COLBERT:
Years. Some of them overcame it.
AUDIENCE: Amen. DR. COLBERT: And
then one lady really gave me the
“aha” moment. She says, “Dr.
Colbert–” and this was a few
years ago. She says, “Can I stay
on this diet forever?” She says,
“I had–I had stage four breast
cancer with metastases to my
bones.” She says, “I didn’t
think I’d ever see my
grandchildren anymore.” But she
said, “I–this diet is so easy
to follow, I want to do it the
rest of my life because I can
follow it. And I want to slam
the door on cancer.” Now, does
it help everyone with cancer?
No. But it takes the fuel away
from cancer, which is sugar.
It–also, the two key fuels for
cancer, you know what they are?
Sugar, carbs and starches,
because they convert to sugar,
and inflammation. When you
follow this program, it lowers
inflammation dramatically. It
also lowers sugar dramatically.
You’ve just taken the two key
fuels away from cancer. And you
had mentioned the story about a
patient that went to a major
renowned cancer treatment
center. KENNETH: Oh, yeah. DR.
COLBERT: And they were cleared
of cancer. KENNETH: And–yeah, I
mean, just rejoicing. And I know
two people that this happened
to, and one of them a very good
friend of mine. I didn’t–I
wasn’t acquainted with
this–with this–I knew their
parents, but not the person.
Came home and had a–a big
homecoming and all of that,
and celebrated, and died.
DR. COLBERT: But they went back
to eating, sugars, carbs, and
starches, right? KENNETH: Ice
cream. DR. COLBERT: Ice cream.
When–when most of my patients
would come to see me, I’d say,
“Well, have you had the chemo
and all?” “Yes, I had chemo, a
maximum amount of chemo.” I
said, “What would you eat when
you were having your chemo?”
“Oh, they’d bring in donuts, ice
cream, cake, cookies. They said,
‘You’ve got to keep your weight
up. Eat plenty of carbs, plenty
of sugars, plenty of starches.'”
AUDIENCE: Praise God. DR.
COLBERT: Actually speeding up
their death. And so again, now,
what I– KENNETH: Now, explain
something you explained to me.
DR. COLBERT: Yeah, yeah.
KENNETH: This impacted me so
powerfully, the difference
between a normal cell and a
cancer cell– DR. COLBERT: Yes.
KENNETH: –and their ability to
turn protein into sugar. DR.
COLBERT: Well, what happens in a
cancer cell, it gets genetically
modified. And so what happens,
that cell becomes what we call
immortal. It can’t undergo
self-destruction or apoptosis
because of certain genetic
modifications that it does to
the body. And so as a result,
that cell literally continues to
grow and reproduce and grow
and reproduce, and it steals
nutrition away from your body
in order to grow. So in other
words, your nutrition that you
need to fight the cancer is
going to the cancer to help it
to grow and spread. And so you
have created an immortal cell
that is like a bunch of rebels
or a gang that is growing, and
it’s literally destroying and
eating up the body. KENNETH: But
you were talking about that
cell’s inability to get sugar
out of protein. DR. COLBERT:
Well– KENNETH: And a normal
cell– DR. COLBERT: Yes, yeah.
KENNETH: –can. DR. COLBERT:
Yes. Now again, what happens is
these cells have a metabolic
machinery where they are sugar
feeders, and they feed on sugar.
And what happens is, a normal
cell can break down and use–the
protein can convert to sugar,
too, and use it. But these cells
literally are strictly sugar
feeders. They feed and grow with
sugar, carbs, and starches.
KENNETH: So they starve on
protein. DR. COLBERT: Yes. If
you– KENNETH: That cancer
cell– DR. COLBERT: Now, again,
certain proteins can feed them.
If you take too much protein or
if you eat processed meats, you
feed the cancer. KENNETH: Well,
I can see that. But
that’s–that’s– DR. COLBERT:
Yeah. KENNETH: –when you come
into this. DR. COLBERT: Right,
right. KENNETH: You’re– DR.
COLBERT: But this is the right
balance. KENNETH: Yeah. You’re
starving that– DR. COLBERT:
You’re starve– KENNETH: –cell
from–from sugar. DR. COLBERT:
Yeah. So again–oh, okay. Oh,
we’ve got 30 seconds. My
goodness. KENNETH: Hurry up.
DR. COLBERT: I can’t believe
it. KENNETH: Hurry up, hurry
up, hurry up. (Laughter)
DR. COLBERT: The thing is, what
we do, we take the sugar away,
the fuel from the cancer. And
many times the cancer goes into
a survival state. Instead of
thriving, it survives. And many
times, the immune system
can get back in and destroy
it. AUDIENCE: Ooh. Praise
God. (Audience “Amens”)
DR. COLBERT: So that’s the good
news. KENNETH: Hallelujah!
AUDIENCE: (Cheers & Applause)
KENNETH: Glory to God.
Well, as you already
know, we’re out of time.
And Jeremy’ll be here
in just a few moments.
ANNOUNCER: We hope you enjoyed
today’s teaching from Kenneth
Copeland Ministries. And
remember Jesus is Lord.
