The BEST Keto Pizza

Welcome to my keto pizza kitchen today! I
love pizza so much! I’ve always loved it
and one of the hardest sort of comfort
foods that I felt I had to let go of
when I got into keto was pizza. And so
what I’m gonna be making for you today,
and what I hope you’re gonna be making
really soon, is an awesome
very delicious, easy cauliflower keto
recipe. So, it’s all about having the real
ingredients from a good pizza. This one
happens to be a pesto keto cauliflower
pizza, but you can use tomatoes, you can
do all sorts of different things. We’re
gonna make the crust and then we’re
gonna make the sauce.
First things first, I’ve broken it up
into little florets and we’re going to
actually rice it right here in a food
processor.
Very simple.
We’re gonna be adding grated Parmesan
cheese. We’ve got eggs, we’ve got whole
food, organic MCT oil,
we’ve got parsley, we’ve got garlic
powder,
we have oregano, and we have coconut
flour. And here you can see we’ve got our
cruciferous cauliflower ready to go.
Again, I want to just tell you this is a
very easy recipe. I never want to get too
complicated in the kitchen or at least I
don’t want to get too complicated in the
kitchen. We’re gonna use 1/2 a cup of
coconut flour. We’re gonna add our
Parmesan cheese that I’ve grated up. I
already grated that for all of us. Now,
this is about 1/2 of a teaspoon of
parsley. I’m I’m such a huge fan of super
herbs that I want a little bit more.
We’ve got half a teaspoon here of garlic
and you can do that to your taste. I’m
going to add some oregano.
And my favorite part is the organic MCT.
I love the way this is processed. I’m
gonna put a little tiny bit more. So just
one tablespoon helps really get your
ketones producing more effectively, so
for those of you that may be sensitive
to high levels of mono saturated fats,
and you’re really just trying to utilize
your ketones the most effectively, a bit
of MCT every day throughout the day in
different ways. I get about three
tablespoons a day and I have to put it
in my food because I don’t like, you know
just taking a tablespoon by itself and
plus it’s boring. Now we’re gonna blend
this all together and we’ll be ready to
go to the next step. I’m very interested
when you start to comment on this recipe.
What recipes you may have for pizza. I
think for all of us that are part of the
keto community and keto is a lifestyle
for us, pizza is a really important piece
of that. And so I want your recipes, I
want us to share the recipes, I want to
repost those recipes and I can’t wait to
get yours. Next, we’ve got our parchment
paper. We’re gonna put it right on our
tray and get our oven preheated.
Now this is the only sort of tricky part
for the whole recipe I would say. And
it’s just about forming the pizza ball,
the pizza dough. So we know that
cauliflower is hydrating, its nutritious,
it keeps your blood sugar balanced. It’s
not like you’re getting teaspoons and
teaspoons of sugar here. So now what I’m
going to do, and as I mentioned this is
the little tricky part, I’m going to
start packing it down. It’s worth it. I’m
gonna start spreading it out. It smells
really good. It smells really fresh it
smells like it’s live. You know it
doesn’t smell gooey.
I’m also gluten-free, so I can’t even
dream about pizza in in my real life. And
this is is such an awesome way to get
into pizza.
Okay, now we’re gonna add some of my
favorite MCT, you know I want a little
bit more on this. Again, you never know
we’re adding all this extra energy to
this amazing pizza dough. This is gonna
enhance and keep your body in
nutritional ketosis, and my goal is to
keep your blood sugar levels balanced, my
goal is to keep your energy balanced, my
goal is for you to love this lifestyle.
And these are the little tips and tricks
that are so critically important. We’re
gonna be adding a lot of other
ingredients when we create the sauce, but
I’m always thinking about making sure
we’re getting enough of our MCTS, enough
of our magnesium, enough of our sodium,
all of the electrolytes are so important.
And when your keto you need more
hydration, right? Your body is utilizing
your fat as your source of fuel and you
ultimately need more hydration, because
fat doesn’t have the same level of
hydration that a carbohydrate has. So
this is a full pizza dough, but because
it’s made from cauliflower, it’s a little
bit more crumbly. And what I like to do
in my house as well, is make it into
little pizza bites, so you can just make
pieces this big. Put them all out. You’re
not gonna you’re not gonna bake it quite
as long, but that’s another option. Okay,
we’re gonna put it in the oven now. Here
we go now. pizza, pizza, pizza! My
favorite. Oh my gosh, I love cauliflower.
So it’s been 25 minutes. I’m
gonna grab a sweet the dough. You can see
everyone likes their pizza slightly
different. You can see the cracks, which
is okay. Don’t forget this is cauliflower
and the edges are just nicely crispy. I
like crispy pizza.
And we’re ready for the next step. Now
we’re gonna add our super herb: Pesto
sauce. There are links in this recipe to
how I like to make pesto. So now that
we’re done with that, I’m gonna add just
a tiny bit more. I don’t think we can get
too much pesto. As you know it’s the
super herb and I’m completely obsessed.
We’ve got recipes. I’ve got a couple of
different pesto recipes. To me, pesto is
not a garnish, it’s actually sort of the
substance of what I am looking to eat in
a meal. So less of the protein source and
more of the plant super herb source. You
can click on any of the pesto recipes
that we have on my website. There are
lots of them and I really truly believe
that pesto should be more of a staple
versus a garnish in our diets and it
will make a huge difference. It’s a super
you’re getting super herbs and super
nutrient dense pesto right here. We’re
gonna add the shredded mozzarella now.
And we’re gonna pop this back into the
oven for about 10 minutes. It’s an easy,
delicious, smells so good. Next, we’re
going to add the chopped kalamata olives.
Right to this recipe. I love all of the
good fats that are found in these. I
typically try to eat anywhere from
5-10 olives every single day.
And it’s ready to go into the oven.
It’s now cooked for about 10 minutes. The
aroma is outstanding and we’re going to
just finish our last couple steps.
Whoo! The olives, the superfood,
super herbs, the
MCTs, and the cauliflower. Okay
now this is optional. I like to add a
little bit of the red pepper flakes,
just a tiny bit. Salt as I
mentioned earlier, you always need to
make sure we’re getting enough salt.
Sodium when were on keto, it’s not like a
high carbohydrate diet ,it’s absolutely
the opposite. And voila there you have it!
You’ve got your keto delicious
cauliflower pizza. It’s simple, you can
make it as a larger pizza like this, you
can make the little individual pizza
bites, but I can tell you I absolutely
love this pizza. I hope you do too.
It should solve all of those emotional
cravings that you may have like I do for
pizza, just that feeling of being able to
enjoy such a comfort food whenever you
want, without the spikes in your blood
sugar, without going out of keto, without
feeling like you’re cheating. We now know
from the science that you really can’t
go between high carb even if it’s for a
day and keto you need to stay focused
and really give your body the healing
