Hey guys I’m Naomi. Thanks so much for
hitting that play button. Today I’m gonna
share with you the complete guide to
beginning keto and guess what? I’m gonna
share with you the information that I
learned from hundreds of hours of
interviews with the world’s top experts.
In fact, I interviewed over 80 experts to
share this information with you. So here
goes. Number one:
Keto or the ketogenic diet is based on
ketones. Ketones are our fuel that
support our body in ways that sugar
cannot. So you can either be a sugar
burner, a glucose burner, which 90
something percent of the population is.
Or, you can be a fat burner, where you’re
literally using these precious ketones.
Dr. Dominic D’Augustino, one of the
world’s leading experts in this area,
calls them the fourth macronutrient. So,
how do we get these ketones and what do
we do with them? Well, ketones are created
in our liver. How do we get them? Well, we
eat a low-carb, moderate protein, and
high-fat diet. There are certain foods that we
can eat that actually help our body to
produce twice as many ketones in half
the time. Foods that come from the
coconut, for example. MCTs are super
powerful ways to increase your
production of ketones. MCT stands for
medium chain triglycerides and they’re a
super exciting new area of research that
we’re really learning can support our
ketone production. So we want more
ketones, we want to absorb more of these
ketones, we want to be able to use our
fat as fuel. Our body loves using fat as
fuel and what happens is as you start to
eat more fat, you’re also able to become
metabolically flexible. And metabolically
flexible allows you to go from burning
sugar to burning fat. And that’s really
