Sweet and Savory Low Carb Ham Glaze Recipe — Zero net Carbs
Welcome all! Papa G here. today I present a low carbohydrate ham glaze recipe. Now you can
serve your holiday ham and enjoy all the
sweetness without all the carbohydrates.
This glaze works great with a pork loin as
well. It’s hard to believe it has
virtually zero net carbohydrates. Let’s get
This is a very simple and quick recipe that begins with a tapioca starch syrup. Pour about a cup of FiberYum into
a medium mixing bowl. Add some real maple
extract and mix well to incorporate.
To our syrup base, add some apple cider
vinegar; and give that a good mix as well.
Next, add about 1/2 a teaspoon of ground
mustard powder; mix this in thoroughly.
Finally, we’ll sweeten just a bit more
with a liquid sugar substitute equal to
about 4 teaspoons of regular sugar. Give
that a final mix. Generously brush the
glaze on to your prepared ham. You can
use this glaze from the start when you
begin cooking your ham. Since we’re using
sugar substitute, it won’t burn nearly as
quick and easy as regular sugar based
glazes will. Apply several coats during
the cooking process. I’m not using one
here, but this glaze works especially
well if you’re serving a pre-cut spiral
ham. Sweet and savory goodness…
