Sweet and Creamy Caramel – Low Carb Keto Sauce Recipe | Saucy Sunday

July 22, 2019 10 By William Morgan

Welcome all! Papa G here. Today is Saucy
Sunday! It’s where we focus primarily on
low carbohydrate recipes for sauces, condiments,
and dressings. Most of the videos will be
short and to the point. Just something to
help add a little flavor to your low
carbohydrate diet. Let’s get started. For this
week’s Saucy Sunday episode we’ll be
making a creamy caramel sauce.
Unlike other low carb caramel sauce
recipes out there, this one will stay
nice and creamy and won’t harden up when
you refrigerate it. With a great caramel
flavor,
it’s the perfect sweetener to top just
about anything. Begin by adding 2/3 of a
cup of tapioca syrup to a saucepan on
medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of
unsalted butter. Stir the butter in until
it’s fully incorporated. To enhance the
flavor, we’ll add 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Now add some heavy cream and mix to
blend. Continue to simmer on medium heat
for about 8 to 10 minutes to reduce a
bit and thicken. You’ll know it’s about
right when you begin to see the bottom
of the pan as you stir. We don’t want to
get it too thick as it’ll thicken more
as it cools. Turn off the heat and let
cool a bit. Pour into a storage container.
And now we’ll flavor with some
sugar-free caramel syrup; and some
vanilla extract. Mix to combine. cover and
place in the refrigerator at least one
to two hours to chill. After it’s fully
chilled, you’ll see how it’s thickened
nicely and ready for anything you want
to top; like my whipped cream top coffee
or a bowl of your favorite low-carb ice
cream.
There you have it folks! My low carbohydrate
creamy caramel sauce. A wonderful topping
to sweeten just about anything. I hope you
enjoyed this video. If you did, please
like and consider subscribing. I’ll have
something new every week. As always,
thanks for watching and I’ll see you
next time!
