– Hi, everybody.
Today, I’m going to make
spicy stir-fried pork,
Jeyuk-bokkeum or dwaejigogi-bokkeum.
“Oh, Maangchi already
uploaded this video, yeah?”
Yes, I did it.
I uploaded this video a long
time ago, years and years ago
and today’s an updated version with HD.
It’s super, super easy
and fast and delicious.
If you like pork, I’m using pork belly.
Pork, and if you like spicy food
and if you like to make something quickly,
then this is the perfect dish.
But, if you can’t eat pork, I know that
for many reasons you can’t eat pork,
then use chicken.
So chicken sliced thinly,
and then exactly follow this recipe.
So, let’s start.
How fast it is, I’ll show you.
Let’s see.
I will just measure 15 minutes.
Turn on the heat over medium high heat.
This is one pound pre-cut pork belly.
When you go to a Korean grocery store,
they make it really nicely pre-cut.
So, I’ll just add this.
It has to be very spicy.
Quarter cup hot pepper
paste – gochujang.
Soy sauce, one tablespoon.
Sugar, one tablespoon.
Hot pepper flakes, two tablespoons.
And this is ground black
pepper, quarter teaspoon.
Sesame oil, around one tablespoon.
And then just stir it a bit,
so easily you can mixing and cooking.
Just like stir fry.
And then, let’s do ginger and garlic.
(smacking)
Ginger.
Garlic.
And then, sometimes you have to stir fry,
Stir this.
It has to be evenly cooked.
And garlic and ginger, again.
Here you go…
(sizzling)
Onion.
(chopping)
I just slice it thinly.
(sizzling)
And we need green onion,
so this is a really large green onion,
this is a small green onion.
You can use around three or four green onions.
I will use two large green onions.
(chopping)
(sizzling)
(water running)
Busy, busy.
(sizzling)
It looks really juicy now.
I like to keep cooking
until a little crispy.
I set the timer for 15 minutes,
still five minutes left.
Amazing, in 10 minutes,
It’s almost cooked.
I always have some pork
belly in the freezer
and then, whenever I have
some guests suddenly,
some guests come over my house,
I just make this.
This way is very easy and I
serve with rice and soup
and more side dishes.
See, a lot of fat coming out.
And this pork is already cooked,
but I like to make it a
little bit more crunchy.
(timer ringing)
Did you hear?
Yes, 15 minutes from the beginning to now.
Okay, done.
(sizzling)
This are perilla leaves.
And sesame seeds.
Here you go,
dwaejigogi-bokkeum.
And I made rice, multigrain
rice, and doenjangguk,
soy bean paste soup.
And this is kongnamul-muchim,
soy bean sprouts side dish,
and this is just
vegetable and my home-grown,
perilla leaves.
And ssamjang, dipping sauce
and I made a kimchi
pancake. Kimchi pancake…
Today’s main side dish,
spicy stir-fried pork.
Let’s eat.
Wow huge! I like to wrap this here,
just a little bit of ssamjang.
(crunching)
Sweet, spicy, juicy and
a little salty, delicious.
Delicious side dish, that’s
why it very, very popular.
I will just have some
of this kimchi pancake.
Kimchi pancake is so easy also,
one of the easiest recipes.
Just chop it up kimchi
and mix it with batter,
flour, water, and just pan fry.
That’s it.
Today, I made a really
large piece, really.
It’s full of my mouth when I chew this.
You can cut into your
own bite-size pieces.
Today, we made spicy
stir-fried pork in 15 minutes.
Enjoy my recipe.
See you next time.
Bye!
