My name is Marlene Hillyer,
I’m a registered dietician nutritionist.
I’m also the owner of Dandelion Nutrition
which is a group practice here in Seattle, Washington.
Being in private practice I have a lot of flexibility
with my schedule, which is awesome,
so I go into the office one day a week,
where I see clients
and I’ve got my computer open with SimplePractice
and while we’re talking I’m able to take little notes
so that it really streamlines my charting process.
A couple other days a week I see clients from home.
And I use SimplePractice’s telehealth platform for that.
For those who haven’t used telehealth before,
SimplePractice makes it really a simple process.
It sends them an email with the link in it
which they click on, and directly connect with you —
it doesn’t get much more simple than that!
It’s a lot faster to connect
and it’s a lot easier to share with clients.
When I have questions about
features in SimplePractice, or if I’m having difficulty
with anything at all,
I can easily send a ticket in to
the SimplePractice customer service
and I get a response back
usually within just an hour or two.
At least once they have hopped on a video call
with me so that I can share my screen
and they can help me resolve it.
Before I found SimplePractice,
I did a really long exhaustive search
through just about every
electronic health record out there,
and the reason that I
went with SimplePractice over other platforms
and even other platforms that
are designed for dietitians is:
One- there’s a paperless intake process.
So I don’t have to print out paper forms,
clients just do it all online
and it seamlessly integrates with the platform
so I have it accessible as soon as they
hit submit from their end.
The second piece is
telehealth is integrated with the platform,
so my clients don’t have to
go to multiple different platforms,
or have different logins.
The third reason why I love SimplePractice
is the integrated insurance billing
straight from the platform.
So I don’t have to deal with having any other system,
I can submit an insurance claim
with like, literally two clicks.
it’s so easy and takes me ten seconds.
So that I can actually spend that time
with clients, instead of billing them.
I get to see patients lives seriously be changed.
I know how powerful food is
and I get to actually see the
transformation in people’s lives
and improve people’s quality of life.
