reach for a pop or water? Our first choice has changed in a BIG way. Today — I talked with a dietician about America waking up and getting the message about the big difference between the two drinks. THAT WE DON’T NEED TO BE WASTING EMPTY CALORIES ON THINGS LIKE POP AND COFFEE DRINKS. Laura Zavadil is a dietician who recommends drinking half of your body weight in ounces each day. So if you weigh 100-pounds…that would be 5 10-ounce glasses of water a day.. She feels water is an important part of a diet — whether you’re trying to lose weight or not. 33:48 :09 IT DOES NEED TO BE PART OF YOUR DAILY LIFE. IT’S JUST AS important AS THE FRUTS AND VEGETABLES THAT YOU EAT, THE FITNESS THAT YOU DO TO KEEP YOUR HEART HEALTHY. WATER IS RIGHT THERE TOO. America’s thirst for water has been filling up water bottles for 10-years. We were drinking only 5 gallons of water a year in 1986…..doubled it by 1996. Then in 2006….reached 21- gallons a year. AND THE WASTED CALORIES IN POP. YOU DON’T REALLY GET ANYTHING FROM THOSE CALORIES. YOU’RE GAINING NO NUTRITION FROM IT. YOU’RE GAINING WEIGHT FROM IT. AND I THINK PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO SEE THAT.
