My most important advice about fasting!
Hi YouTube friends! It’s Lola from Lola’s Life Lesson and
today I wanted to share with you guys my most important advice about fasting. If you’re new to my channel,

When you start you’re fast, especially a long fast understand this and
guess what guys? I just finished a 48 hour fast and I’m feeling amazing.
So when you start a fast.
Especially a long fast. Remember this your body is designed to store fat and
fasting is doing the complete opposite. When you’re fasting… I don’t know if you realize this, but your body is going.
Actually into a panic mode. It’s having multiple panic attacks. It’s freaking out.
It’s really important for you to understand how your body is
perceiving the fast. How your body is
recognizing the fast. We see it as okay. We’re doing this fast
we’re gonna lose weight. However, your body sees it as…
It’s gonna die. Your body literally thinks it’s going to die. Your bodies think you know my god, what’s she doing?
What is he doing?
We’re gonna die. We’re not getting fed. There’s zero food… what’s going on?
So you’re basically
emptying your storage tank… a car that is emptying the gas or the fuel.
You are not eating but your body wants to do the complete opposite.
So which brings me to why I am making this video? So if you go into a long fast
understanding that this is what’s happening to your body.
Then you can actually prevent weight gain.
Think of it like this. You’re basically emptying your storage tank
storage tank is your body. Your body turns on all of the hormones in
order to help you and the purpose of the hormones being turned on is to help you gain the weight back.
Have you ever experienced this where you’re doing your fast and you’re doing great.
But yet your mind, you might see a commercial or you might go somewhere.
You might go to the mall and your mind starts to literally write a list of all yummy foods that you’re going to be eating.
After the fast. Have you done that? I certainly have done that but going into the fast if you understand
what is happening and what the body is going through. Then you can actually prevent gaining weight back.
Once your fast is done, what..a lot of people they will do a really long fast
and then what happens is after their fast they binge eat and they gain all the way back and some and then they wonder.
“What the heck what happened?” The weight gain can be prevented and I did prove that in my
video. I will post it down below.
The two weeks after you completed your fast is
crucial. Meaning….Your refeed day after the past and then two to three weeks
after the fast is
absolutely crucial for you not to gain the weight back.
I’m gonna tell you why… so once you’re completed you’re fast, you’re long fast. Your body is in survival mode.
Your body’s only…
only job… your body is only…
Only obsession is basically –
To have you gain weight because your body thinks that it’s going to die. So you have to show your body and your mind?
That you’re not going to die. You have to show your mind your body that you’re gonna be okay.
So this is why I really believe that
not only is
fasting good for weight loss….
but I really feel that there is a
spiritual aspect of fasting and that it is a mind and body connection here.
The body is only doing its job. The mind…It’s only doing its job.
It is trying to protect you
and the first thing that it’s going to do is it’s going to suggest things to you to eat and it also has to
Also suggest things for you to eat when you are in fasting mode.
And I know that some of you guys really – that I’m sure all of you guys can relate to that. So
when you’re done the fasting.
You’re in refeed mode. Now your body is going to suggest to you the most sugary things.
It’s going to suggest to you things that will help you to gain weight.
Which is the opposite of what you want to do?
So now that I hope you understand that, if you’re gonna do a fast of course check with your doctor first
but also understand and prepare for it and
understand how your mind and body is going to react while you are fasting and
this way you can prevent yourself from binging and then even if you do binge.
You understand why and you hopefully will not beat up yourself for
binging. What I did and I have to thank
majority of my subscribers for this. When I finished my long fast, but basically went into a carnivore
style of eating and eight low carb for the two to three weeks after my fast and I only
actually had some carbs when I was in
the four week mark, but it was very very low carb what I had and now I’ve noticed that
every time I fast because now I am living more with fasting focused lifestyle. I
noticed now that when I do fast, I don’t
have the desire to binge as I did before and I don’t have the desire for
carbs as I did when I did carnivore diet.
I told you guys that what I was struggling with was I was just having these
wicked cravings for carbs.
It’s all about willpower guys. It’s all about educating yourself.
This is a mind over matter situation.
