My Healthy Grocery Shopping Essentials / Alimentos Esenciales

what’s going on guys welcome back to the fit min cook Channel today I am on location at my local Kroger grocery store to bring you grocery store essentials I know that starting at a healthy eating plan there is a lot of anxiety so today I want to help you out with that by showing the things that I buy on a weekly basis to keep my diet fresh interesting and of course never boring let’s go inside check it out keep it it’s today or not recipe specific these are things that I’m going to have 90% of time in my fridge in my pantry to keep my diet interesting and rest when your photo section looks this to it you’re going to begin to eat with your eyes when it comes to produce only by what you’re going to eat because I know when you start out you’re gonna be telling yourself oh man this looks good and that looks good and I’m gonna eat this nice where this is my dear to eat healthy and then by the end of the week all those fresh ladies are staring at two in the fridge like this congratulations you played yourself congratulations you played yourself so I’m saying don’t you’re going to almost want to under buy so that way you have to go back to the grocery store alright here’s what I get bill peppers they are rich in antioxidants and they also have anti-inflammatory properties these are really easy to add your recipes you can chop them up and they can add a bit of spice to a recipe but without the heat chop the heads off of them you can stuff them and I get about one of each color and tweak green onions if you watch my videos long enough and you know that I sprinkle this stuff on just about everything this is like my own form of sriracha as it adds a lot of flavor with just a little bit when it comes to green I like to pick at least one leafy green so I’ll either get a spinach kale or spring mix or maybe even sometimes some lettuce this right here is called purple kale bouquet okay West Indies Brit [Music] you can chop this up you can even sautee this so it’s really important that you biscuit at least one leafy green one thing that I really love about zucchini is how versatile I’ve turned this thing into pasta I’ve turn to design your sheets this is also a really hearty but also a low-calorie vegetable that you can chop up and you can add to mix it so you can get a boost of hardness but also get in your green veggies there’s cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes I gotta admit that my mom put me onto these these are not only great for snacking but they are also pretty creamy when if you drop them into your smoothie it’s also great for adding to a salad or you can even have them stand alone imagine topping these up and then putting a little olive oil sea salt pepper maybe a little bit of goat cheese maybe sibling into avocado unless you’ve got like some life-threatening food allergy then you shouldn’t be eating avocados not only are they a tasty fat but they’re also a really help the end satisfying fat but you can make these sweet or savory if you are lacking calories and you need to boost the caloric content of your are a great addition to you can buy them right now don’t buy them too squishy because by the end of the we don’t want them to go back lemons and limes when life gives you lemons or limes I’ll add this to my water help and the citruses exit a good or substitute for some salty recipes so imagine just making some chicken breast and you want to keep the salt low all you gotta do is add adds a little bit of pepper and some lemon juice and you can kind of cool your tastebuds just a bit that way you get that same satisfying salty taste in your mouth i buy it varies up on a weekly basis and the reason is they are low calorie and they’re just pretty delicious you can toss them into mini recipes or like oatmeal you can eat them as a snack I like to even combine these with some raw nuts for a hearty but also a ARP snack and if you are following a lower carb diet then you’re going to want to start a stick to fruits that are a little bit lower in sugar kids also love berries so if you have kids in your home trying to get them to eat fresh [Music] when it comes to dairy I try to keep my diet as low dairy as possible it’s just a personal preference dairy isn’t bad but for me I’ve had the most successful I’ve had the least amount of dairy better skin health felt better and I’ve also been less so you can see a lot more definition in the muscular tone but that doesn’t mean that I don’t have some dairy goat cheese I love me some goat cheese not only is a little bit higher in protein but it’s also lower in fat if you are addicted to cheese I would try to buy less cheese you want to take out things that are going to be a major distraction for you Greek yogurt is really high in protein one cup has about 23 grams of protein and I recommend also getting the kind that’s not zero packs because it has a little bit more sugar and plus the 2% just tastes a lot better we use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream you can also add it to things like avocado to get avocado a nice creamy texture that you can spread on a sandwich you can dress it up by adding in some fresh spices and a little bit of olive oil and you can make your own dip almond milk if you’re trying to cut dairy out of your diet I do recommend purchasing the unsweetened kind and if you need some sugar or a little sweetness then you can add that yourself so that way you can control your portions and you know what you’re putting into your buttock [Music] raw nuts in law seeds these tend to be pricey so only buy what you’re going to what I also recommend is building up your inventory of nuts and seeds over time about every two weeks you buy another type of nut and you just begin to add to your collection until eventually you can make your own Trail Mix you want some salt or you want some flavor then add your own seasonings to it plus it teaches you a lot more about spices whenever you can make your own mix seems bins like these where you can go and measure out your own fortune so this portion right here exactly what I want and I’m only paying two bucks for [Music] raw a nut butter or raw this is a staple can add this to some vegetables kind of like celery or even some sweet bell peppers you could spread this on some bread or some whole wheat toast for a pre-workout snacks but it’s also high-calorie so you’ve got to watch your portion control limits I recommend that you buy the kind where it is just being green this is just dry roasted almonds that’s what you want in some grocery stores like here at Kroger you can actually go and make your own peanut butter your own almond butter so you know exactly what you’re going to be powdered peanut butter is something that I used to buy to I stopped buying it because I wanted the extra calories from the fat in the real peanut butter the real almond butters but I still think this is a great alternative if you are trying to follow a much more low-fat diet [Music] tee’s now I love this guy Aki yerba mate a tea there’s no crash with the it’s energizing so I have this in the morning time to jump start my day this has also been my pre-workout drink as well it’s also quick the 3 p.m. thinking it when you’re dragging a little bit a lot of tea like green tea has fat burning properties they have candles in it that actually will help out with the fat burning process I’m not saying coffees bad but I’ve had a lot of successful teas so don’t blue about tea bread do I eat bread yes but not all bread is the same I personally enjoy this food for life sprouted grain breads and has to be kept in the freezer and so they can last much longer that way you don’t do us to try to consume a whole bunch of bread right away [Music] rice and grains now you only want to pick one you want to pick the one that you’re actually going to eat now don’t be alarmed if you don’t eat up all of the quinoa or your rice in one which you can also do it stuck up on these so you can have a lot of diverse options over time to make your recipes much harder instant rice do I buy these absolutely you are pressed for time these are good too now I definitely get eggs in a weekly basis also buy egg whites because I’m trying to boost protein but without adding a whole bunch of fat then these liquid egg whites are really easy to incorporate the ones that I personally buy are the ones that are grains that cage-free and sometimes it’s a pay day week maybe even organic you do what your budget will allow [Music] Coco Chico I love the stuff this is highly carbonated soda water you have a lot of these ice drinks that are zero calorie with zero sweeteners and I drink those too you’ve got to be careful of those because I’ll study showed that sweeteners may run counter to your goals because it may actually increase your appetite for sugary foods [Music] those are my story essentials these are things that you will have in your pantry and your fridge ninety percent of the
