Hi Bold Bakers! Can you believe it has been two years and
over 50 mug recipes since I made my first mug cake video? The whole time, using a Panasonic microwave
to cook them with amazing results. Panasonic actually saw my recipes and gave
me a new microwave oven with inverter technology so I can bring you five brand new mug meals. So let’s get microwaving. It is back to school time and I am going to
equip you with a mug recipe for every meal. So you’ll always be able to make something
that’s fast, easy and homemade. For breakfast, we are going to do a twist
on a traditional dish. We are going to make savory French toast. In a microwavable mug, we are going to crack
in an egg, and add in some milk. And then whisk these both together. To this, we’re going to add in some cubed,
white bread. Day old bread is best. Next we’re going to add in some cheddar
cheese and some cubed, cooked ham. Because this is a savory dish, we’re going
to sprinkle in some salt and crack over some black pepper. And then with a fork, we’re just going to
mix it all together. These are normal things that you would have
at home and just with a few ingredients, you can make a whole meal. Now into my Panasonic inverter microwave. So what is inverter technology? It is Panasonic’s patented technology that
provides a steady stream of power even at low settings. Our savory French toast is out of the microwave
and it smells amazing. I mean forget about it. It is perfectly cooked all the way evenly
from edge to center. The best part about the microwave is that
it yields you great mug meals. Oh this tastes amazing. I’m a little bit surprised that I haven’t
tried to make savory French toast before. So this recipe along with all of my other
ones can be found on my website, biggerbolderbaking.com. Now before I fill up on this one, we’re
going to move on to our next mug meal. It is lunch time and we are going to have
my personal favorite, homemade ramen in a mug. In a microwavable mug, we’re going to add
in some chicken stock or you can also use vegetable stock. Into our stock, we’re also going to break
in some ramen noodles. You can use whatever noodles you like. Next we are going to add in some frozen vegetables,
which are always great to have. Some chopped scallions, some soy sauce, and
then some chili sauce. And then just mix it all together. There are no rules when it comes to this ramen. You can add in different vegetables, you can
even add in some cooked meat. Whatever you like. Ok it took no time at all and now it’s ready
for the microwave. If you know somebody that loves store bought
ramen, then share this homemade ramen recipe with them. So if you didn’t believe that you could
make easy ramen in the microwave, just look at that. Perfectly cooked noodles, lovely steaming
hot broth and vegetables, there is a very good reason that this is my favorite lunch. It tastes fantastic. All you want to do is garnish this with a
few sesame seeds and then go nuts. This is so simple and easy to make and honestly,
once you try it, you will never eat store bought again. Right now, we are going to move onto our next
mug meal. Next up, I am going to take a really popular
afternoon snack and make it in a mug. It’s going to be a peanut butter and jelly
sandwich. In a microwavable mug, we’re going to melt
some butter. And then we’re going to add in some peanut
butter and some milk and then mix it well together. In case you were wondering, it’s best to
use a medium sized mug. Ok lovely so to this, we’re going to add
in some flour and some baking powder and then mix it together until combined. A little bonus about this recipe is it’s
egg free for those of you that don’t eat eggs. So to add in the jam, make a well in the center
of your mug. And then take a spoonful of your favorite
jam and pop him right there in the middle. And then just pull the peanut butter mix over
the jam. So you have a little secret jammy center. Ok our snack is done. This guy is ready for the microwave. Remember all of my mug meals can be mixed
up in advance and then cooked off whenever you want them. Our PB&J looks and smells fantastic. We’re just going to decorate this really
simply with a little bit more jam on top because you can never have enough and a few toasted
nuts. What I love about this little mug is that
the peanut butter part is not sweet but the little bit of jam in the middle is. So the little bit of salty and sweet, it’s
perfect for peanut butter jelly time. It’s dinner time and we’re making something
you probably never thought you could make in the microwave. It is a cheese and broccoli rice bowl. So with this recipe, we’re actually going
to start out in a medium sized bowl because we need lots of room for the rice to cook. Into the bowl, add quick-cooking rice. Into this, we’re going to add some water. Next, add some chopped broccoli florets. Then take a plate or a microwave safe lid
and place it on top. This will help create steam as the rice cooks. Now we’re just going to put this in the
microwave for a few minutes until the rice is fully cooked. After a few minutes, you should have lovely
fluffy rice and cooked broccoli. This is perfect. Now just add your rice into your microwavable
mug. To this, add in some sharp cheddar, milk,
a pinch of salt, and then some corn starch or corn flour. And then just give these ingredients a quick
mix together. I guarantee this is faster, cheaper, and better
for you than anything you could order from a take away. Our rice bowl looks really tasty. What I love about these mug meals is that
they’re not fast food, they are real food, fast. This little guy doesn’t need any decoration,
I’m just going to dig in while he’s still warm. This recipe is so great because it’s a whole
meal in a mug, made from scratch with good quality ingredients. You really can’t go wrong. We’re going to move from here onto something
sweet. So it’s dessert time and I think I saved
the best for last. We are making a nutella brownie in a mug. In a microwavable mug, we are going to add
in an egg and some nutella and then just whisk them both together. Once it’s all mixed up, we’re going to
add in some flour and then just gently mix it through until it forms a batter. I have to say, this is my favorite mug dessert
and once it’s cooked you’ll see exactly why. So this little mug of deliciousness only took
around 2 minutes to whip up but we can cook it in even less time. This is the moment I’ve been waiting for,
our brownie is out of the microwave and I’m going to serve him with some vanilla ice cream
on top and then I’m going to take a big spoonful so I can show you how good it is. Now look at this. Chewy, decadent chocolate brownie. It is fudgy and just amazing. A big thank you to Panasonic for helping me
bring you this video. Head over to my website where I’ve got exclusive
microwave recipes and I’ll see you back here next week for more Bigger Bolder Baking.
