for the body.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find a tasty
snack when you are trying to be healthy and
cut out the carbs.
Whether you’re looking to lose weight, maintain
your weight or to strengthen your body, there
are a range of snacks that you can eat to
help you do this.
In today’s video we will cover 10 fantastic
low carb snacks to eat during the day.
These can also be eaten on any low carb diet
such as keto, and are best eaten straight
after or before a meal.
1. Yoghurt with Blueberries
Plain Unsweetened Greek Yoghurt can be eaten
with a small handful of blueberries. These
are extremely low in carbs and high in antioxidants
which boost the health of the entire body.
This is tasty and delicious and hits the spot
for a healthy treat.
2. Parmesan Crisps
For a delicious low carb salty treat, you
can bake parmesan crisps. Simply mix some
parmesan cheese with a little paprika and
onion powder. Place on some baking paper and
bake for 3-4 minutes. These provide a crunchy
and satisfying treat with the bare minimum
carbohydrates.
3. Pork Rinds (Scratchings)
These are delicious salty pieces of pig skin
which have an amazing taste. They contain
no carbs and are excellent when following
a low carb diet. They are also useful when
intermittent fasting as they contain a good
amount of healthy fat.
4. Peanut Butter
Take a few stalks of celery and dunk these
into peanut butter or almond butter. Celery
is one of the healthiest vegetables to boost
weight loss. Peanut butter supplies healthy
natural fats which make you feel fuller for
longer.
5. Mashed Avocado
You can scoop out the contents of an avocado
and mash with a little lemon juice and black
pepper. This is another perfect dip which
works well with sliced bell peppers. This
is the ultimate healthy low carb snack which
also boosts energy levels and provide potassium.
6. Beef Jerky
Smoky beef jerky is an extremely low carb
food made from dried and smoked beef. This
is delicious an is an excellent source of
protein to enjoy during the day.
7. Olives
You can eat olives on a low carb diet as they
are rich in healthy natural fats. These are
used to make cold pressed olive oil, one of
the healthiest fats in the world. You can
purchase olive snack pots in some supermarkets.
8. Pecan Nuts
These are one of the best low carb snacks
to enjoy on long journeys, and can often be
purchased in airports and train stations.
These are an easy snack to enjoy on the go
and are packed with nutrients to boost heart
health.
9. Almonds
Take a small handful of almonds and coat in
salt and vinegar. These are absolutely delicious
and are loaded with antioxidants. These nuts
boost the health of the skin and help in balancing
out blood sugar levels. They are also extremely
high in fibre, perfect for keto.
10. Cheese Wheels
In most supermarkets you can find small disk
of cheese which are individually wrapped.
These contain some of the healthiest saturated
fats which will keep you full during the day.
Cheese contains very few carbs and is a dense
source of nutrients such as Vitamin A.
As you can see there are a range of low carb
snacks that you can enjoy when trying to get
healthy.
We recommend following a keto and intermittent
