The February 2018 KetoKrate has
arrived! Let’s unbox it. Hey guys, welcome
to A.D. Keto. My name is Aaron. This is the
channel where I talk about the ketogenic
diet. I do some keto food vlogs, I give away
some KetoKrates, and I do some keto
recipes. If this is your first time here,
please consider subscribing, and if you,
do be sure to click the bell icon so you
get a notification whenever I upload new
content. So it’s February 2018. KetoKrate
has arrived. It actually arrived a little while ago.
I’ve just had a ton of stuff going on. I
had to put off the unboxing for about a
week, but we’re gonna get into it. If
you’re not familiar with KetoKrate,
They’re a snack delivery service. They
specialize in low-carb and keto friendly
snack options. It arrives monthly.
It’s one of the favorite parts of the
month for me when KetoKrate arrives. It’s so special! It’s very exciting. So…
And they’re great! Not only do they send
me my Krate every month, but they send me
an extra Krate to send to one of you
guys. So be sure to stick around to the
end of the video, where I will tell you
how you can be entered to win the KetoKrate
that I’m about to unbox. So all
that said, let’s get into it. The February
2018…
I almost said seventeen. Get with the
times, dude. 2017…(!!) 2018
KetoKrate. All right. First thing: Keto
Carne. This is beef jerky from Venice,
California. This has been in KetoKrate
before. It is really, really good. Here is
the nutrition information: 2.5 servings
per container, calories per serving: 90.
Fat: 2.5 grams. Total carbs: zero. Fiber:
zero. Sugars: zero. Protein: 16 grams. So
this is really good beef jerky, you guys.
I enjoyed this last time. I’m looking
forward to having this. Keto Carne Beef
Jerky. Next: another item that has been in here
before.
Skout pumpkin seeds. Except this time,
It’s Spicy Texas Chili. Yes, please!
These were in KetoKrate a couple
months ago. I devoured these really
quickly. They’re really, really delicious.
Okay, nutrition information: Two servings
per container, 16 grams of fat, 180
calories per serving, 4 total carbs, 2
dietary fiber. So two grams of net carbs.
10 grams of protein. Skout organic
pumpkin seeds.
I love these. They’re very, very good. Next:
Uh oh. Guys, KNOW Foods cookie, cinnamon
flavor. Now, some of you may know about
the controversy surrounding KNOW
Recently, about a month ago, it was
discovered that they used non-keto-
friendly chocolate chips in their
chocolate chip cookie, and really
misrepresented themselves on the
packaging, they were claiming 4 net carbs,
when in fact, the… the chocolate chips
basically made the cookie like, seven or
eight grams of net carbs. At…at least.
This was a big to-do on Instagram. Matt
and Megha actually dissected one of their
chocolate chip cookies, measured out the
chocolate chips, and said there’s no way
this is 4 net carbs. So a lot of
controversy surrounding these guys. I’m
not sure what their deal is. I was
confused the first time I had a KNOW
cookie, because they use allulose, which
isn’t listed as a sugar alcohol. It’s
technically a sugar. It behaves the same
way as a sugar alcohol, so the the macros
did not add up. In one of the first boxes
I got, I remember looking at this cookie,
trying to do the math, and thinking, “What
what am I missing?”
I’ll just read you this macro
information: 32 grams of fat… the serving
size is the entire cookie. It’s this entire
cinnamon cookie. 32 grams of fat. Calories: 384. 40 total carbs. 12 grams of dietary
fiber. So if you did the math there,
that’s 28 grams of net carbs. However, the
allulose is listed as a sugar. There
are 26
grams of allulose. Well, maybe 20…26
grams of sugars. Maybe 24 of those are
allulose, which is not listed here. It just…
It does not show allulose as an
ingredient. It just says ‘sugars’. But the allulose you treat as a sugar alcohol. “Allulose
is a great-tasting natural non-GMO
certified sugar, found in common foods
like maple syrup, figs, and raisins. Allulose
has only 10 percent of the calories of
table sugar, and is not recognized by the
body as a carbohydrate.” So yeah,
they… they break it down here: 40
grams of carbs, minus 24 allulose, minus 12
grams of fiber, equals 4 net carbs. So…
proceed with caution with KNOW foods. I… I’m gonna eat this. Like, there’s no way I’m
not eating this. But if you do decide to
get the chocolate chip cookies, know that
there has been some controversy
surrounding them. And the…the
follow-up to the… to sort of…not the
uproar, but just the questioning of them,
putting these chips in their chocolate
chip cookie, came across as really
arrogant. I remember seeing…they posted
something a couple days after the fact,
that said “Four grams and net carbs. Believe it.” And then that was kind of it.
At any rate, proceed with caution with
those guys.
All right. Next: Ketologie keto shake.
This is cool.
Ketogenic nutrition shake. Chocolate,
naturally flavored. It tells you what to do
here: Add approximately 10 to 12 fluid
ounces of either water or your favorite
unsweetened nut milk and the packet.
blend until mixed thoroughly, and enjoy!
Cool, this is like a shake
mix. It has one serving one serving per
bag. 25 grams of fat, 14 grams of carbs, 7
dietary fiber, and 7 erythritol. So that’s
zero net carbs. 14 grams of protein. So
this is cool. Ingredients: coconut oil
powder, hydrolyzed bovine collagen,
organic erythritol,
Dutch cocoa, natural vanilla flavor, sea
salt, xanthan gum, stevia. Awesome
ingredients! Can’t wait to check this out.
that’s Ketologie Keto Shake.
Next: another item that’s been in here
before.
Oloves. Not a huge fan of olives in
general, but I know that these are a
favorite among a lot of people. I might
give these a try, even though I’m not a
huge Olive guy. I just think this package
is so cute!
Check it out. They’ve got little guys on
the back, talking to each other.
Adorable. Natural green pitted olive. Low-calorie snack. Okay, nutrition information:
Serving size: 15 grams, two servings per
container. So there’s two servings here.
Per serving, you get 25 calories, three
grams of fat, less than one gram of carbs,
and zero protein. So this is probably not
for me. I’m gonna see if wifey wants it.
Sara does love olives. “Kids and adults
love ’em!” So there’s that. I’ll see if my
kids and adult love ’em. Oloves. Next: whoa. Wow. Nextella sugar-free chocolate
hazelnut spread. This looks really good.
Please visit Nextella.com for nutrition
information. I will do that. I’ll flash
them on the screen. It does say there are
4 grams of net carbs, but here’s the
nutrition information for Nextella. So
that’s Nextella sugar-free hazelnut
spread. This is going to be delicious.
Next, Oh. ChocoPerfection. A chocolate bar! Dark… Aalmond dark chocolate. Sugar-free,
naturally. Wow, this looks really good. I’m
excited about the serving size, too. Like,
when I go to the store and I buy like, a
LILY’s or whatever, I am so tempted, every
time, to just pound the whole thing. This
is a nice little serving size. hopefully
it is one serving. Let’s see.
Serving size: 1 bar! Yay! OK, we have got 12
grams of fat, 24 grams of total carbs, 13
grams dietary fiber, 8 grams of
erythritol. Holy crap, you guys. That’s uh… that’s
three grams of net carbs! And four grams
of protein. This is going down tonight.
I’m excited ChocoPerfection chocolate
bar. Next: oh my gosh, how could… how could
it be a KetoKrate without a meat stick?!
This is Roam Sticks. Roam Sticks, “Best
pork ever. Hickory smoked pork with
uncured bacon.” Wow.
Do I have the nutrition information, here?
Does not look like it. Maybe it’s on the
inside? I’m not seeing it anywhere. Hmm.
I’ll have to look for it. I’ll go to Roam
Sticks.com to check out the nutrition
information. But again, wouldn’t be Keto
Krate without a meat stick of some sort,
and this one is pork. Looks pretty good.
Check that puppy out right there. Looks
pretty good. Okay. Next. Man, usually…
usually we get like seven seven or eight
things. I’m up to… one two three four five
six seven eight already? With a couple
more things? Wild. This is Healing
Butterfly. Culinary grade A Japanese
matcha. Chocolate green tea powder. Are
you kidding? That’s awesome.
Man, I want to have all this stuff
tonight. That looks really good. Nutrition
information on this is also not here. I’m
gonna have to find it and flash it up
for you guys, but ingredients: organic
cocoa, coconut water, organic Japanese
matcha, green tea powder, organic inulin,
bacillus coagulants, organic Corella,
oolong tea, organic rebA (which is a
stevia extract), contains tree nut (coconut).
For nutritional information, please visit
The Healing Butterfly website. I will do
that. I will flash those macros up on
screen for you. But again, another item
that I cannot wait to try. Matcha
chocolate green tea powder. Awesome. Next. Oh my goodness.
Milkadamia unsweetened vanilla
macadamia milk. Are you kidding? They sent
milk! It’s vanilla unplugged, it says up
there on the top.
That’s odd. “Moo is moot. Delicious and
deliciously free of dairy, soy, GMOs, and
gluten. Made from raw, not roasted, nuts.”
Serving size is eight ounces, so there are
four servings in this. This is a pretty
big container. 50 calories, 5 grams of fat,
1 gram of carbs, 1 dietary fiber, 1 gram
of protein. So ZERO net carbs. Moo is moot.
Milkadamia unsweetened vanilla
macadamia milk. Very excited. Holy crap,
There’s two more items in here, you guys.
Ultima Replenisher. Sample pack.
“Electrolytes pure and simple. Ultima is
made with all six electrolytes, plus
support minerals. Real fruit flavors,
plant-based colors, and sweetened with
stevia leaf, without sugar, carbs, or
calories. We’re your go-to choice for
healthy hydration and replenishment, so
you can feel and perform your best.” Cool.
Zero sugar, zero calories, zero carbs. This looks like it’s cool, though. Electrolyte
packet. Dig it. And lastly, oh my buddy
Scottie is smiling about this one. It’s a
SmartCake! SmartCake.
What is this? Tangerine! Wow, I didn’t even
know that that was a flavor …of SmartCake. We’ve got 2.5 grams of
fat. Serving size is the entire cake. Total
carbs: 9 grams, but 5 grams of dietary
fiber, four grams of erythritol. So zero
net carbs! 4 grams of protein. Oh, I cannot
wait to try out SmartCake. Awesome. There are two SmartCakes, so is
that…? Serving size is one cake, so TWO servings per container – I have heard some good
things. Curious to bite into my very
first SmartCake. So guys, that’s it! That
is like, a lot. Normally you get seven or
eight items. Let me just count these.
There’s one two three four five six
seven eight nine ten eleven twelve.
TWELVE items in this KetoKrate. That’s
amazing. That’s more than I’ve ever
received. This is chock full of goodness, you guys,
this month. And here is the…again the
printout that they send. It’s upside-down.
There you go. And the recipe is
snickerdoodle ice cream. So that is the
February 2018 KetoKrate. If you’ve
