we’ve never met before my name is
Heather Gerhardt and I make videos every
Tuesday and Thursday all about life food
family and fun and that’s the things
that affect our lives on a regular basis
from recipes to parenting to marriage to
product reviews to make up all sorts of
stuff so you’re always going to get
something new so please consider

so today I’m gonna be talking about my
favorite keto or low-carb store-bought
items that make this diet actually work
long-term and make life fun again so if
you want to know what my favorite
products are that I purchased stay tuned
and let’s do this okay so if you follow
a low-carb diet or a keto diet you know
that there’s a lot of planning that goes
involved there’s a lot of cooking it’s
very time consuming and they’re not a
lot of kind of store-bought products
that are prepackaged or pre-made that
you can use on a regular basis so some
of these things are for baking or
cooking and then some of them are just
some snacks that you don’t have to fuss
with you don’t have to make anything and
I really like that so first off I have
some of the things on hand to show you
and then other ones I’ll put a picture
in if I don’t actually have it in my
possession at the moment and trust me if
I don’t have it it’s being ordered and
on its way hurry up Amazon that so I’m
going to start with the sweet category
or the things that I use to make some
sweets and my absolute favorite like
go-to dessert on a Wednesday night when
you don’t have time to make anything but
you just need a little bit of chocolate
because you know chocolate makes
everything better
is the choc zero salted almond bark it
comes in individual little packages so
if you needed to throw one in your bag
and take it with you somewhere you can
it tastes amazing it’s sweetened with
monk fruit so it doesn’t have the kind
of bad sugar alcohols that I am
trying to avoid like maltitol and things
like that sucralose I don’t use any of
that kind of stuff I use monk fruit
exclusively or stevia or a combination
of the two and so this has that so it
doesn’t have weird aftertaste it doesn’t
cause stomach upset it’s the perfect
little individual package and it’s
amazing I absolutely love it okay and
then going into speaking of monk fruit I
use this monk fruit it’s the Lakanto monk fruit this is the golden version
I bake with this and cook with it it’s
non-gmo zero additives zero aftertaste
vegan gluten free and a one to one sugar
replacement and they’re right it does
work great the only thing about this I
don’t like is that it does not dissolve
unless you really cook it so if you’re
making like whipped cream or a frosting
for a cake it’s not gonna dissolve well
so you have to get the powdered version
or the liquid version of this which they
also sell I’ll have everything linked in
the description box for what you’re
looking for but putting this in coffee
or baking with it making cookies making
cakes what and then if you’re baking
everybody loves these Lily’s chocolate
chips there’s dark chocolate chips
you can get them on Amazon you can get
them at Market Street you can get them
on whole foods
I think sprouts carries them so there’s
definitely different places that you can
pick some of these up I’ll have a link
in the description for Amazon but I
don’t think that’s the cheapest if you
can find one local to you you’ll save
three or four bucks
but I use those for chocolate chip
cookies I use it to melt and dip in
other kinds of things so pick up some of
these Lily’s chocolate chips you will
not regret it
another one is sugar-free jell-o I put
these in cakes to give them more flavor
and moistness you can just make sugar
free jello and put some whipped cream on
top this is a really easy fast go-to
I mean it’s not fast it takes few hours
to set but a really good go-to product
if you’re needing something a little bit
sweet and you just want to do something
simple so awesome now as far as
breakfast goes usually you’re gonna have
to cook something for breakfast if
you’re gonna eat breakfast eggs bacon
little quiches whatever well if you need
a go-to breakfast thing
I have just found it’s at my Kroger a
low carb yogurt that is really pretty
good I have the remnants here of one
that I ate so it’s actually empty but
it’s called
Two Good and it has this one is the
mixed berry it’s Greek yogurt it has 2
grams of sugar and what’s really cool
about this is that for the entire
package which is a cup it’s 80 calories
3 total carbs and two sugars so you’re
gonna have three carbs for this doesn’t
have any fiber so you’re not gonna take
any of that out doesn’t have any added
sugars three carbs for this and then
what I mix in with this and I don’t have
this so I’m gonna put a picture in I mix
in grain-free granola this granola is
really really good for a half a cup it
is six carbs but if you put a quarter of
a cup of it onto your yogurt
it’s only three carbs and then you’re
having a whole breakfast for six carbs
and it is so loaded with good protein
and fiber and nuts and seeds and all
that stuff and so you’re gonna stay full
for a really long time so this would be
a great breakfast or a great lunch if
you can take a yogurt somewhere for
lunch and have some granola on the top
it’s really super good so check those
out again the yogurt I found at Kroger
and then I’ll have a link for the
granola in the description box as far as
whey protein goes I use this to make
some dinner rolls or kind of more like
biscuits in consistency and texture but
really really good it makes things
really light and fluffy and I use the T
G’s whey protein that’s this one so a
scoop is 130 calories and two carbs for
a scoop of it which is 30 grams as a
serving size so it doesn’t have any soy
no salt no corn no yeast no GMOs no
fillers no wheat no starch no gluten
no added sugars or preservatives no
artificial colors or flavors so this is
the unflavored one and
is really really good for making
biscuits for dinner or breakfast biscuits and gravy if you want a

biscuits yes for almond flour
I use the Oh nuts almond flour that I
get off of Amazon I also bake with a lot
of oat fiber which I also get on Amazon
and I will have that linked in the
description box and then I just found
this new flour…oh my gosh you guys I need a moment
there’s going to be like angels singing
in a moment if you’ve not heard of Lupin
flour you need to get some of this in
your life like today let me show you it
is Lupin flour and 1/4 of a cup is 74
calories 12 carbs 11 of which are fiber
so 1/4 of a cup of this is one carb one
and can I just say that I used a
combination of this flour and oat fiber
and some eggs and cream cheese and
baking powder and salt and some monk
fruit and stuff and I made waffles in my
waffle iron last night my entire family
was in awe of how good this tastes
because there’s no coconut flour or
almond flour in this there is zero
grainy fibery tasting anything in this
batter and it puffed up and it was
amazing and I’m making a video on that
next because if you want waffles in your
life again that actually tastes like
fluffy waffles you need to get yourself
some of this I’m also I actually bought
this because I saw a recipe to make
pasta with this so that’s what I’m
trying next is making pasta but I made
waffles with this and if you would like

even know how I missed this before it’s
also vegan it’s high in protein and
fiber and a high rate of digestion and
it’s I mean it’s non-gmo awesome stuff

box for this stuff ok as far as bread
coating for chicken I make a imitation
version of chick-fil-a chicken strips
and did you know that they actually soak
their chicken in dill pickle juice
marinated in that before they put it in
their coating oh it’s a game changer for
chicken strips just put it in pickle
juice let it sit overnight
then do the rest of your coding and all
that it’s it is moist and delicious and
a little bit tangy oh my gosh do it so
these are the spicy buffalo pork rinds
they also have plain ones they have
barbecue they have hot and spicy ones
but I use kind of a combination of
Parmesan cheese regular pork rinds and
then either these spicy ones the spicy
ones or these and it makes the best
coating for chicken and then I’ll bake
it a little bit and then throw it in the
deep fryer to kind of crisp it up oh my
gosh so good you don’t you don’t taste
pork rinds because to be honest I don’t
like eating these alone a lot of people
love them but just like as a snack these
are not my favorite this flavor is my
favorite if you’re gonna do a snack but
it’s not it’s not my favorite but using
it as a bread coating with Parmesan
cheese which acts kind of as glue
because the cheese melts and sticks it
all together
so good when I do cook with coconut
flour for instance when I made the
coconut cream pie if you haven’t seen
that video it’s in the cards above and
I’ll put it at the end of this video as
well so so good but this is the flour
that I use this is gluten-free non-gmo
organic coconut flour 9 grams of carbs 6
fiber so you’re gonna get 3 carbs for 2
tablespoons and this is my go-to for
that as far as bread goes I like the
love the taste bread
it is technically zero carbs great for
grilled cheese sandwiches it does taste
a little bit fibrous because it is made
with almond flour or almondy like but
it’s super great love it get it at
Amazon the other one that I have found
is Sola bread and that one I got the
sesame wheat one that is really good but
it is gonna set you back 3 carbs for
that so you need to look at those
ingredients and decide which ones you
want to do you know and kind of that’s
not an everyday thing so but that is
really really good it tastes just like a
sesame wheat bread it’s soft it’s it’s
the closest thing to real bread that I
have tasted it
really really good but the love the
taste is not quite as high in your carbs
because it’s mostly almond flour and
doesn’t have some other stuff in there
but either one of those friends are
going to be great
they also make hot dog buns they make
bagels that love the taste everything
bagel really good
definitely worth that toast that up put
some cream cheese on it slices of
avocado really good for cake mixes I’m
gonna be putting up a video soon for a
strawberry cake I took my grandma’s
favorite strawberry cake recipe and ketofied and my favorite way to do
that is using the good Dee’s yellow
snack cake mix if you use one of those
it’s gonna make an 8 by 8 pan of it and
if you want to make a larger cake you’re
gonna need two of those cake mixes but
it is so good in this recipe it doesn’t
taste grainy and weird some of the cake
mixes that have coconut flour in it or
just a little bit too fibrous tasting to
me and this one doesn’t do that at all
so this is a really good one I get it
off of Amazon and I love it they also
have brownie mixes and chocolate cake
mixes and all that I haven’t tried any
of that yet but I have tried the yellow
snack cake mix and it is amazing love it
tastes the most like a real cake that I
have found and stay tuned for the
strawberry cake because who it’s got the
sugar-free strawberry jell-o in it and
fresh strawberries oh my gosh it’s a
keeper also I love the trim healthy mama
cuffin mix in the cinnamon spice I also
made a spice cake out of that and
there’s a recipe in the description box
for that on a video that I made that’s
really good with the cream cheese
frosting if you’re in kind of the spice
cake mood that’s a really good one for
that
and finally if you’re in a snacking mood
and you really really need some tortilla
chips with salsa or you want to make
nachos or any of the dips that you love
I am sorry but I have tried so many
times to make tortilla chips crispy
crunchy
they’re not they just don’t hold up but
quest chips makes a Cool Ranch tortilla
chip and a nacho they also have a lime
one that is way tart but those two the
nacho flavor and the Cool Ranch are so
incredibly good with salsa or dip the
nacho is more like Doritos and so I get
the Cool Ranch if I’m looking to make
nachos out of it or if I’m gonna make
salsa and just dip it in salsa or
guacamole these chips are super good now
I have seen them at GNC and I’ve seen
them at nutrition and they’re about $3 a
bag to 2.79 or something like that and if
you get them on Amazon you’ll have to
get a pack of eight of them but when you
break it down into individual bags it’s
about two dollars and eight cents a bag
so you’re gonna save yourself about 80
cents or so per bag by getting it off of
Amazon and it’s worth it
these things are super good make some
nachos out of them get some salsa chips
and salsa are back people get some okay

cooking and baking and having some
snacks and an on-the-go breakfast which
is kinda hard to come by and if you did
