In a keto diet, we have to take a low carb diet. In such a situation, if you want to eat
fruit, then you have to eat only fruits with low carbohydrates.
In today’s video, I will tell you which fruits should be eaten in Keto diet and which fruits should not be eaten.
So let’s talk about which fruits should be eaten.
1. Lemon
A lemon contains about 1.0 grams of sugar and 7.0 grams of carbohydrates.
Lemon comes in the low carb category, so you can eat lemon in the Keto diet.
2. Rhubarb
A cup of rhubarb contains about 1.3 grams of sugar and 5.5 grams of carbohydrates.
Rhubarb also comes in the low carb category, so you can eat it at the time of a keto diet.
3. Apricot
This fruit is mostly known by its English name apricot.
A small apricot contains 3.2 grams of sugar and 3.8 grams of carbohydrates. Apricot also falls in the low carb category.
4. Cranberry
A cup of fresh cranberries contains 3.8 grams of sugar and up to 12 grams of carbohydrates.
Because it is a low carb fruit, you can use cranberries during keto diet.
5. Guava
A medium sized guava has 5 grams of sugar and 8 grams of carbohydrates.
Guava also comes in the low carb category, so you can eat guava while doing keto diet.
6. Raspberry
A cup of raspberry contains about 5.5 grams of sugar and up to 15 grams of carbohydrates.
You can use raspberry in a controlled amount during keto diet.
7. Kiwi Fruit
A medium sized Kiwi contains 6.5 grams of sugar and about 11 grams of carbohydrates.
You can also use kiwi fruit during kito diet.
8. Strawberry
Strawberries are probably the most popular fruit in the keto diet.
A cup of fresh strawberries contains 7 grams of sugar and 13.5 grams of carbohydrates.
You can consume strawberries during keto diet in controlled amounts.
9. Fig
A medium sized fig contains 8 grams of sugar and 9.5 grams of carbohydrates.
Figs also fall under the low carb fruit category, so you can use figs during a keto diet.
10. Cantaloupe
A large slice of cantaloupe contains 8 grams of sugar and 8.5 grams of carbohydrates.
You can consume controlled amount of cantaloupe in a keto diet.
So these were 10 fruits that you can eat in a keto diet. Now let’s talk about which fruits you cannot eat in a keto diet.
1. Mango
Mango is called the king of fruits, but if you are taking a keto diet, then you have to stay away from mangoes.
A mango contains about 45 grams of sugar and up to 50 grams of carbohydrates.
That is why mango falls in the high carb category, so you should not eat mangoes during the keto diet.
2. Pomegranate
A medium sized pomegranate contains 40 grams of sugar and 30 grams of carbohydrates.
Pomegranate also comes in the high carb category, so you cannot use pomegranate in a keto diet.
3. Apple
It says that if you eat an apple every day, you will never have to go to the doctor.
If you are taking a keto diet then you should not eat apples at all.
A small apple has 20 grams of sugar and up to 25 grams of carbohydrates.
4. Banana
A banana contains 18 grams of sugar and about 28 grams of carbohydrates.
If you are doing a keto diet then you should not eat banana
5. Pineapple
A slice of pineapple has about 17 grams of sugar and up to 22 grams of carbohydrates.
No matter how much you like pineapple, but you should not eat pineapple during keto diet.
6. Pear
A medium sized pear has about 18 grams of sugar and up to 28 grams of carbohydrates.
A pear also cannot be eaten during a keto diet.
7. Watermelon
A large portion of watermelon contains about 20 grams of sugar and 12 grams of carbohydrates.
If you take a keto diet, then you do not have to consume watermelon.
