Keto Crusted Chicken! Fast, easy, low carb and gluten free

Don’t worry, I’m no expert
hi y’all so welcome to pretty basic iris
and so today we are gonna be making a
crusted chicken and it’s gonna be pretty
basic honestly so I already have the
ingredients together and we have two
eggs that are right here I put about 1
cup of almond flour sorry 1/2 a cup of
almond flour and 1 cup of mozzarella in
here and I went ahead and shredded that
myself because just FYI for anybody that
is gluten-free or just doing keto like
how we are a lot of us are when you buy
the pre-shredded cheese
that is actually coated with flour so
just FYI you know for those people that
are really sensitive to it and then
we’re actually gonna add a little bit of
Himalayan salt in here and of course my
favorite which is the smoked paprika
from Trader Joe’s and we’re gonna be
going to my garden right now because my
garden needs desperate help it’s a
jungle out there so don’t be scared and
don’t judge because we’re gonna go ahead
and go get some oregano it just kind of
went crazy so what’s going on ok so
don’t judge but here’s some of my tyme
and then we’re going to my small garden
I think I was gonna plant some more but
honestly this is all oregano and then
there’s my poor little lavender it’s
like dying usually I try to not have it
go so crazy but I don’t even know what
to do oh my god I don’t even know what
to do
but there was a bug I usually have
bunnies out here
I don’t want to get bitten by a snake

we’ll just take that much okay so I just
got back from the garden like I said
don’t touch and I went ahead and washed
the oregano and I just kind of wanted to
show y’all a trick so when you are
trying to cut the oregano what you can
do is you basically get a small colander
and you put it through one of these
little holes and you kind of run it
through so if you look in here I’m pulling
it and it comes out completely clean and
you have all of your oregano ready so
you can start chopping it so amazing and
pretty simple so I’m going to go ahead
and finish up with all this oregano
we’re gonna chop it up and that way
we’ll have it ready for us to start on
the chicken so now that we’re finished
and getting all the oregano so this is
pretty amazing isn’t it and then so take
a look again so that is like bone clean
umm pretty amazing and so we’ll go ahead
and start cutting this up I’ll just kind
of put these here then we’ll get
chopping so after you have chopped the
crap out of this oregano I suggest you
put it in the eggs and just kind of beat it
up so we’re gonna go ahead and start
doing that and we’re gonna go ahead and
put the oregano in the eggs. This is not perfect
so don’t worry I’m no expert okay so at
this point now that you put your oregano
in there we’re gonna go ahead and
actually add some Himalayan salt my
favorite
no measuring required and then my first
favorite the smoked paprika from Trader
Joe’s of course so again I don’t measure
really I just don’t really think it’s
necessary and we’re gonna go ahead and
beat this try to kind of incorporate all
of it together. Last time I made this
yeah I didn’t think that I actually I
thought that I had made enough but
actually they ate all of it there was no
leftover so that sucked. Okay so now we are ready to
start with the chicken I’m going to go
ahead and put just a little bit of
himalaya not too much. That’s pretty much it. So the first thing that we’re gonna do is
we’re going to go ahead and put the
chicken into the batter. I really hate touching
chicken by the way. So this is
actually super hard for me
okay so we’re gonna go ahead and put it
here and remember this has the almond
flour and the shredded mozzarella so it
doesn’t have to be perfect it’s no big
deal
just enough to cover it up
and that’s it so like I said this
doesn’t have to be perfect and it’s
gonna come out great so don’t worry
about it it’s not going to be something
that you have to worry about so I’m
going to put this in the pan and I’m
gonna do that for the rest of them okay
so I’m going to go ahead and add a
little bit of avocado oil to this. It has
plenty of fat so we did use chicken
thighs so and then of course then we
have the cheese and it’ll start cooking
up and at this point um you’ll want to
start your oven we have the oven set at 350
degrees so it’s gonna be ready for us to
put it in once we cook the chicken just
a little bit on the stove and the
chickens gonna be on here for about five
minutes per side and you know go ahead
and after that just put in the oven but
that just looks amazing right there
we’re gonna go ahead and turn the
chicken over and let that cook a little
bit longer it’ll be a little crispy
and that’s fine
so we’re gonna let that cook a little
bit longer we are going to go ahead and
put this in the oven but first we are
going to cover it up with foil okay so its pretty hot
here is the finished product
