tips fun stuff in between that just
happens to our lives all that kind of
stuff so I hope you’ll consider
subscribing that when you do hit the
bell so you’re notified of every video
that I post today we’re doing another
keto recipe and I have keto-fied my chili
and it is a bacon beer chili I think
I’ll have a beer
we don’t have no beer just tequila it’s
like beer if it’s like beer we’ll have
some there’s so good so if you want to
know how I make it stay tuned and let’s
do this
okay my family loves chili we love it on
rice which we can’t really eat that much
we love it with cornbread which we can’t
really eat that much my husband loves
on spaghetti is it fattening, fattening? but I love it straight up in a
bowl this is super easy to make super
yummy and keto low-carb friendly so I’m
gonna take you into my kitchen and show
you how to make it so in this pot I’ve
got five pieces of thick bacon and two
pounds of ground meat just cooking then
I’m gonna strain that off because
there will be a lot of extra fat and bring
it back to the pot okay now we’ve
strained that off I’m gonna add in
onions half a bag these are frozen
chopped onions best invention ever
so one package is two medium onions so
I’m doing a half so it’s one medium
onion I’m putting in this okay so once
the onions are a little bit translucent
and cooked a bit we are then going to
add in can of Rotel tomatoes this is
gonna give it some kick these are both
28 ounces so this is crushed Tomatoes it’s
gonna make a big pot of chili 2 cans of
crushed tomatoes not one
next we’re gonna put in tablespoon of
crushed garlic I just buy the minced stuff
already done chili powder you can do
these seasonings however you want
however spicy you want however spicy
you want I’m gonna be putting in ground
cumin which is about 1/4 cup of that
smoked paprika got 3-4 tablespoons Dijon
mustard we’re gonna put in a couple of
tablespoons of that
don’t worry I’ll figure out all the
actual measurements
these are big tablespoons three of those
now if you like a sweet chili this is
not for you I don’t make it sweet but
you could add in you know some
sugar-free ketchup just sweeten it up or
some kind of sweetener if you really
like that but we don’t like our chili
sweet we like it spicy oh it smells
good
now if you like chunky chili this is
perfect if you like it smoother you can
use an immersion blender and make it a
little less chunky now here’s our couple
of secret ingredients one just were worcestershire sauce we don’t put a ton of it in
here cuz it does have carbs in it one
carb for one teaspoon so we don’t want a
bunch of those in there it’s about five
teaspoons of that but in this big huge
thing that’s not gonna be that much
we’ll be putting in beer
this is Michelob Ultra 2.6 carbs for the
whole thing so using a low-carb beer
beer just really adds a good depth of
flavor definitely need salt three
tablespoons of
salt is going in here definitely think
it needs more beer
I think you’re gonna end up using a
whole bottle of beer on this one
whole bottle except for the one taste I
just had now this is a little too chunky
for our taste so I am gonna use an
immersion blender and just get some of
those big chunks down
okay so this is how we like our chili it
is nice and blended together but again
you don’t have to do that if you don’t
want to my dog is playing with his bone
so loud top it with cheese top it with sour
cream just leave it on simmer until all
the flavors meld together and you have
got bacon beer keto chili so okay that’s
it takes about an hour from start to
finish in 30 minutes of that is just
letting it kind of simmer so that all
the flavors come together this works out
to be about eight carbs for a cup and
then you can top it with cheese and sour
cream or guac or avocado or whatever you
love to put on top of chili and it just
makes it really really great you know
you can put it on top of sausages
bratwurst hot dogs all that kind of
stuff super super good really easy to
make and super satisfying now if you
want to reduce the amount of carbs you
can put in less tomatoes and just maybe
add some beef stock or water if it’s too
thick it ain’t carbs of serving because
I think this was like 16 cups I mean
this makes a really big thing of chili
so if you need to make this smaller so
that you don’t have such a huge batch we
just have a lot of people on our family
and we eat it it’s great for leftovers
that stays really well in the fridge so
I just make a big pot of it but at 8
carbs per cup it’s not that bad and it’s
a pretty good meal for a dinner okay
that’s it for today’s video I hope that
you found this inspiring and helpful and
