How To Slim Calves & Thighs – DO’s & DON’Ts for Lean Legs!!

Today we’re going to talk about how to slim down
your calves and your legs with out
getting bulky muscles.
And if your workouts and your diet right now
are actually doing the opposite and making them bigger.
This is one of the most common questions that I get.
You might be training hard everyday with weight workouts and
HIIT workouts, hoping to slim down your legs,
not realising you’re actually doing the opposite
and growing the muscle mass of your calves.

We’ll first talk about the not – to dos.
What’s not helping to slim down your
calves and actually doing the opposite.
First, hill running or sprinting on steep inclines on the treadmill.
Basically, high speed within a short distance and also incline will develop your
calves and grow bigger, bulkier muscles.
Secondly, high impact jumping movements
and also stair climbing exercises target the calf muscles to increase the size.
Third, weighted calf exercises.
For example, calf raises with dumbbells and barbells
will also grow the calf and make them bigger.
Fourth, an unhealthy diet with a lot of trans fat and high sugar and way too much carbs
will also increase your body fat percentage.
And actually your calves and your legs will also grow in size
together with the rest of your body.
What you should do instead to reduce the size of your calves
First, stretching lengthens bulked out muscles
to make them longer and leaner.
Here are some of the best calf stretching exercises
that you can do on a daily basis.

Second, endurance running,
meaning low intensities, slow speed, long distance
on flat terrain.
Or treadmill with several to low incline is very effective
to slim down your calves and legs as it reduces the size of the actual calf muscles.
Plus, the fatty tissue around it and also around your body.
Third, low impact bodyweight exercises with high reps will also help
lean and tone your muscles
Fourth, again diet.
A healthy diet will help with fat loss and hence the fat layer around your calves
and your legs will therefore slim them down.

But these are my tips that I found really helpful
to really slim down legs and my calves so they can look nice and toned.
