How to Make Microwavable Keto Cheese Crisps | Snack Recipes | Well Done

– Keto friendly snacks are all the rage
and at the top of the
list are cheese crisps.
Someone told me about this
simple way to make these.
I’m gonna give it a try.
It involves one ingredient, cheese.
All you do is put cheese
in between two pieces of parchment paper
and throw it in the microwave.
Let’s see if it works.
If this works, this might be
the easiest snack in history.
I went ahead and picked up the pre-sliced
cracker cuts of cheese.
This would be a great afternoon snack
or just a little pick me up
when you’re feeling hungry.
I’m gonna put five slices of cheese
because that’s probably a serving.
Three slices is a serving.
This is the whole thing
I still don’t understand
about the keto diet.
It’s just too much fat
and I just don’t think I exercise
enough to be on this diet.
Let’s throw it in the microwave.
We’ll start with a minute
and see what happens.
The parchment paper is
so it doesn’t stick.
You could not make this
just on a paper towel.
I don’t think that would be a good idea.
Whoa.
It’s sticking a little bit
so I’m thinking you
have to let it cool off
and maybe it’ll form a separation.
It’s nice and greasy.
Alright, after it’s
cooled for a little bit,
now I can remove the paper.
Alright, now that’s pretty and all.
It’s not crispy.
I think I would have
to just cook it longer
to get it crispy.
These are like cheese chews.
Alright, I’m putting them back on.
I’m gonna pop them back in the microwave
to see if they get crispier.
Alright, let’s see if these are crispier.
Alright, while these sit
to see if they get crispy,
I’m just gonna go two minutes
flat and see what happens.
If you love cheese crisps,
this is your recipe.
One ingredient.
Two minutes.
Although you can’t have
your wine with yours.
Keto people.
Okay, maybe I was wrong.
Two minutes and it definitely got crispy.
It’s still greasy.
Alright, I tried to take the
slow and steady approach.
That did not work.
It probably would work but
it would take you longer.
Just throw the cheese in there.
Two minutes later,
you’ve got crispy cheese.
You’re gonna have to break it up yourself.
Okay, that’s better.
Much better.
Here’s what I like most about this idea.
It’s one ingredient, super easy
but the best part is this is way cheaper
than buying a bag of cheese crisps.
This pack of pre-sliced cheese
will cost you less than $4
and you’re gonna get at least
five servings out of that.
So that’s a pretty neat
idea for a quick keto snack.
