Hey YouTube friends! It’s Lola from Lola’s Life Lessons. How’s everybody doing today?
Hey everyone! So today I wanted to
make a
carnivore slash keto snack. Both of these snacks are carnivore and keto friendly. And as you guys know. I’m
doing the carnivore diet experiment.
I’m doing all meat diet.
But have noticed there are not very many carnivore snacks. So
this is a snack that my mom used to make when I was a little girl and
it’s basically just. It’s chicken skins, but we call it chicken cracklings.
So I’m going to show you guys today how I make it and I was making it for myself and I decided you know
what why not film it. I also have the recipe up on my website, which is
Lolaslifelessons.com
I’ll put a link down below to the recipe.
So,
here’s how I make it.
So before we get started I wanted to show you guys the finished product.
Now I do have to apologize that this is my first cooking video and there is some shadows.
In the video, so I just wanted to apologize
for that. Enjoy!
Basically I bought this
chicken from the metro
but what I’d like to use. I like to use the chicken thighs because the
skin removes very easily and it is the fattiest part of the chicken. All right. So here’s my chicken thighs.
[music]
Okay, so I have here a cap full of apple cider vinegar and
that’s with the Bragg’s apple cider vinegar.
So basically what I do. I just mix it up.
So yes, yes, yes, yes, I’m washing my chicken.
No, this is how I was taught to prepare chicken.
This is how my mother taught me. This is how my sister’s taught me.
I’m from the Caribbean. So I don’t want to see any
comments about you’re not supposed to wash your chicken because I wash my chicken.
Some salt. This is how we do it. You just. We don’t measure it. Just put it in as much as we want.
So by the way, this was paprika, that I used and of course the course sea salt.
Okay,
[Music]
and then basically what you do is. You just.
You just remove
the skin.
[Music]
So you’re gonna need your two cookie sheets. Here you are…right here two cookie sheets.
You have your parchment paper on top of your cookie sheets. So here is my chicken skins.
So now you got your skins. Just place them on your sheet.
Then you put your parchment paper on top just
like that and
then you take your other cookie sheet and
that’s to keep it flat. So that it’s gonna come out like Doritos or like chips.
Put your oven to 400 degrees don’t wait for your oven to heat up just put it in right away.
[Music]
So thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you like the recipe. I hope you like.
What I mean, I hope you’ll try it.
Hope you find it as delicious as I do.
