How To Get Results On The Egg Fat Fast (EGG FAST RULES AND HOW I LOST 8 POUNDS IN 4 DAYS)

In today’s video, I’m going to be talking
about egg fasting, and share with you my amazing
egg fast results.
Keep listening, because I’m going to be discussing
how, when, and why you should do an egg fast,
as well as who should do it, and how long
you should do it for.
I’ll be sharing all the foods I ate and how
I lost eight pounds in four short days, pushing
my body into a deep state of ketosis, and
breaking through my weight loss plateau.

So what is an egg fast?
An egg fast is actually a form of a fat fast,
and you should only do a fat fast if you fall
into one of these two scenarios.
You’re already following a high fat, low carb,
ketogenic lifestyle, and you’ve experienced
a stall or plateau of two or more weeks.
You’re trying to get yourself into ketosis
quicker.
Either because you just started the keto diet,
or because you had a cheat day and you’re
trying to get back into ketosis.
During the egg fast, you eat between 1000
and 1200 calories a day.
Where 80 to 90% of those calories are actually
coming from fat, and fat alone.
If calories are broken up into four to five
meals per day, and eating blocks contain about
200 to 250 calories per meal.
Eating every three hours, but no longer every
four hours in between meals.
You usually follow a fat fast for about three
to five days.
When completing the fat fast, I personally
saw better results between days three and
five.
It’s important to note that you should never
go past five days.
When you go on a fat fast past five days,
you could put your body into what’s called
a starvation mode, and could start to lose
muscle mass, which would then be metabolized
into energy.
This is the complete opposite of what you
actually want to accomplish with a fat fast.
I actually chose the egg fast because it had
so much more variety over all other fat fasts,
and I couldn’t believe the foods that I was
able to eat on this.
Before starting keto, I was never really an
egg person.
So how was it that I was going to be able
to eat eggs for every single meal during this
egg fast?
Well, I did, and let me tell you, I never
felt hungry.
I never got sick of eggs.
Now don’t let the name egg fast scare you
off.
I mean, I had pancakes, I had crepes, deviled
eggs, fettuccine alfredo, omelettes, vanilla
custard, fat coffee.
And did I mention the pancakes?
Those are my absolute favorite.
I eat them on a regular basis each week, even
when I’m not doing an egg fast.
They are that good.
What are the actual rules of this egg fast?
On the egg fast, you’ll need to eat one ounce
of healthy fat for every egg consumed, and
you must eat a minimum of 6 eggs per day.
Along with eggs, you’re allowed up to six
ounces of cheese, no carb sweeteners, and
diet sodas, up to three cans.
Now, ideally you’ll want to try to stick with
one can or less, or not have any at all, as
well as any keto friendly drinks that you
would normally have.
Such as your sparkling waters, your fat coffees,
or tea each day.
I found so many different ways to have eggs,
and I enjoyed every minute of this.
I was never hungry or hangry, and the egg
fast is not your traditional fast.
In fact, this is the only fast that I have
ever been able to actually complete from start
to finish.
I only say fast, keep in mind like I just
said, when you’re not actually eating.
In fact, on the egg fast, you’re eating what
seems like all the time.
Literally every three to four hours with the
egg fast.
You’re fasting from carbohydrates, and you
actually find yourself feeling full the entire
time.
Should you choose, you can also add in exercise
during the fat fast because you’re getting
tons of energy.
Your body, when in a deep state of ketosis,
is running on pure ketones.
Another key point is to make sure that you’re
taking your vitamins and electrolytes when
doing the fat fast.
You will feel amazing.
I mean, just look at my before and after pictures.
I lost eight pounds in four days.
Not only did I lose on the scale, but my clothes
were so much looser.
So make sure that you pay attention to how
your clothes are fitting.
This helped kick me out of my weight loss
plateau.
But full disclosure here.
Once the egg fast was over, I did gain three
pounds back, which I attributed to overindulging
with the fat bombs in the days post egg fast.
I will be honest.
But those three pounds did come off quickly
in the week that followed, and I’ve continued
to lose weight and maintain afterwards.
I have been so pleased with my results and
how easy the egg fast was, that every single
month in my group, I will be running an egg
fast.
