I love your pantry. I always see new vegan foods and stock up and then they just sit there as I re-eat the same things. Thank you for the tips! 🙂 Reply Yazmin Stubbs says: December 18, 2018 at 11:09 pm Yes yes yes! Reply Mariah _ says: December 18, 2018 at 11:52 pm Definitely want to hear more about the appliances that you think that every vegan would benfit the most from. I'm trying to convince friends and family to go vegan, and showing that it's not an arderous task that can't be done would help a lot. Reply ellimak says: December 18, 2018 at 11:57 pm How about I organize for you, and you cook/bake for me! Alright?! Deal! Reply systems99 says: December 19, 2018 at 12:01 am Deffo need to invest in a shirt mic! 😁😉👍🏼 Reply Tamera Flora says: December 19, 2018 at 12:23 am I love pantry videos but they are also bad for me since they give me ideas of what I want to still add to my ever growing pantry stash. 🙂 I live in an apartment and always find kitchen storage to be lacking so I've had to get a little creative to store all the pantry items and spices. My spices are organized in slim slid out pantries, one between my refrigerator and counter (useless space no more) and one sits next to a bakers rack. The slide out pantries are on rollers so it's super easy to roll it out and find the needed spice. From the side of the bakers rack is a hanging shoe organizer that has mason jars and small bags of pantry food items (beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, etc). But, now that I've got that all worked out and organized it seems to me that I need to make notes from your video of what I still need to add but I may need another hanging shoe organizer. 😀 Reply queensequoyah says: December 19, 2018 at 12:24 am Oh god the spices there’s so much it’s beautiful and terrifying at the same time… I want to organize it so bad 😭 Reply serena moon says: December 19, 2018 at 12:30 am I would love to see an oat milk recipe! Reply Michael Gutman says: December 19, 2018 at 1:22 am You can buy those white grated shelves at Walmart or Bed Bath and Beyond. You can put it over your plates and have more storage space on top and still pull out your plates easily. That's what I have. You can use them for all of your cabinets for more space. You also can put in those shelves and put your spices in small plastic containers. They will slide in and out easily too. Also at Walmart. I like your boxes idea. Same concept, but too big and cumbersome. Reply Rachel Ann says: December 19, 2018 at 1:23 am This is cool. A good follow-up might be a standard grocery list and what to make from it if you were starting from zero (either transitioning into being vegan or even just moving to a new place, ect.). Reply Shanika Freeman says: December 19, 2018 at 1:50 am Thanks for sharing this video. I'm slowly getting my pantry in order. Reply SULZ98 says: December 19, 2018 at 2:21 am try making your own oat milk! It is so easy and tastes 1000% better than storebought stuff with all the additives in it. Just blend oats with water and vanilla and a little sweetener if you like it that way, and then strain it through a nut milk bag. Reply Naturally Dae says: December 19, 2018 at 2:41 am Yes i want to see more videos like this 👍🏾 Reply Gabriela Herrera says: December 19, 2018 at 4:08 am Favorite appliances pleeeeeeasseee Reply Teresa Smith says: December 19, 2018 at 4:33 am Great content! I had to buy additional shelves for all of my pantry staples and appliances 😬😬 Reply 1hopsc says: December 19, 2018 at 7:08 am Yes I would like to see an appliance video. What would you recommend for a butter substitute to put on popcorn? Reply Osiris Malkovich says: December 19, 2018 at 8:02 am Gardein used to make these little fake chicken sliders that were so tasty, but they seem to have disappeared. Canada has some weird import laws about things that are classified as "meat substitutes." Reply jade jeffree says: December 19, 2018 at 9:27 am Noticed you had Tofurkey deli slices yum!. Those we have in Australia. I LOVE tofu too. Reply happy_loving_vegan says: December 19, 2018 at 10:46 am why are nuts not environmentally friendly? Gotta cook it, bud. Reply Natalie Vompa says: December 19, 2018 at 12:59 pm I thought hemp hearts had to be refrigerated?? Reply Vegannora Lauren Arebalo says: December 19, 2018 at 3:24 pm Great video! I think that people sometimes don't realize how many meals you can make with a well stocked pantry. Ultimately it can be a real money saver since the dry items you mentioned can last a lot longer than fresh produce.I'll take you up on the baking offer. I'll be over tonight 😂 Reply Meghan Morris says: December 19, 2018 at 4:46 pm You should do some instant pot recipes! Reply Kimberly Cruz says: December 19, 2018 at 4:55 pm Please make a video on appliances. 🙂 Reply sunny pepper says: December 19, 2018 at 6:00 pm "Instant Pot is bae" haha lmao so true 🤣🤣🤣 Reply Bri Lynn says: December 19, 2018 at 8:11 pm I wish I had the money for this right now lol Reply Kristina Voyvodova says: December 19, 2018 at 9:21 pm Just in time for Veganuary!!! Have to speak out on this, palm oil is terrible, it is killing wildlife, leaving orphans to starve. I cant see a vegan being ok palm oil and ask you to learn what is happening https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jojJj-s5w8 and inform 303k people. Reply innershifttv says: December 20, 2018 at 9:40 am I keep chickpea flour that I use to make omelettes. Reply innershifttv says: December 20, 2018 at 9:52 am I am a huge advocate of J. K. Adams 48 jar spice rack. Made in VT! It spins, is labeled, sorry Candice no label maker, and holds a good selection. Despite this I have a box of overflow spices in wax paper bags from my neighborhood herb store. Reply Blunt Household says: December 20, 2018 at 4:13 pm Staples are a must. Then you get carried away. Yep. That's me. But I do use it all. I figure if I get enough of a staple pantry built I don't have to shop for anything except maybe fresh produce. LOL Oh, and my spice/seasoning/herb selection rivals yours easily. LOL Master Herbalist here so I add all sorts of herbs to my cooking. 🙂 Reply Flink says: December 21, 2018 at 2:32 am Amazing video, thank you for sharing all of this with us ❤️❤️❤️ Reply Katie Kemp says: December 21, 2018 at 3:43 am Love your videos and humor. You are a joy to watch! My Christmas present to myself was your cookbook. Yay!! I am thinking of borrowing my family's fryer and was curious what oil you choose for that style of cooking. Thanks again for all you do! Reply Carasforever says: December 22, 2018 at 5:50 pm Where did you find the ‘Better than Bouillon’ in Toronto? Reply Ava H says: December 23, 2018 at 12:43 pm Instant pot video please!!! And yes thanks for the tips especially for dried beans! I'm going to look into stores where I can buy beans in bulk! I have a ton of mason jars…In my cupboards I have some lazy susans so I pack those shelves like there's no tomorrow #ijs Reply Karina Eijo says: December 26, 2018 at 4:31 am Have you tried Yves falafel balls?! They’re amazing! Reply loverboy says: December 26, 2018 at 7:35 pm #GOVEGAN Reply Teanna Wagner says: December 27, 2018 at 5:24 pm Making me feel better about my spice container that is overflowing 👍🏻👍🏻🤣 Reply Julie MB Crow says: December 28, 2018 at 6:21 pm Great video 🙂 Thanks, Candace! My Grandmother, used to always put a potato in her cooking beans if she hadn't had a chance to soak them, and then would toss out the potato. The theory, is that the potato would absorb the "gassy" compounds of the beans. Have you heard of this, or tried this? Reply SuzanneV says: December 30, 2018 at 5:52 pm I'm sure I'm not the first one to point this out but you remind me so much of Alexis Rose from Schitts Creek 😊 also love your pantry staples! Reply venus sucks says: December 31, 2018 at 7:55 am This video came out at the perfect time! I’m a very new vegan and currently planning my next trip to the grocery store to restock my now animal free pantry 😊 thanks Candice cant wait to try your suggestions out! P.s. I’d love to see a video on essential appliances! Reply Johanna Woodbury says: December 31, 2018 at 11:46 am I think it's also important to mention that you don't necessarily need a bunch of oils to have an epic vegan kitchen. You can use broths, vinegars, alcohol, and what you didn't mention in your pantry, I think, was soy sauce or tamari. Reply Phoebe Lemon says: January 2, 2019 at 4:54 pm "this is vegan crack" lol harsh but so accurate Reply Steve Perry says: January 2, 2019 at 5:26 pm MELT is the best Vegan butter!! Reply Mo Williams says: January 3, 2019 at 4:57 am Vegan, but ‘okay’ with palm oil? 🤔 Reply Stevie Chandler says: January 4, 2019 at 12:36 pm Would love an appliances video! Reply Vickie Gonzalez says: January 4, 2019 at 5:04 pm I’m trying to stay away from soy because I think it aggravates my rosacea but eves vegan bologna & gardein chicken tenders in my air fryer are so good…that better than bullion is awesome also!!! I’m going to start making seitan for different “meats” 😁 Reply Lynne Hill says: January 5, 2019 at 9:41 pm Wow we have very similar pantries. I've been making my own soy milk and oat milk and it's so much better than store bought and cuts down on carton waste. I would love to see your appliance collection! Reply Vegan from Venus says: January 6, 2019 at 7:51 pm Lovely pantry 😍 where do you find the jack fruit ? Reply Jason Pereira says: January 6, 2019 at 10:19 pm One bedroom in toronto you fancyyy 😛 *crying inside fellow torontonian Reply 04Candii18 says: January 7, 2019 at 2:58 am Sorry dont want to rain on anyone's parade butNo one should be "okay with PALM OIL"Wikipedia: "Palm oil cultivation has been criticized for impacts on the natural environment, including deforestation, loss of natural habitats, which has threatened critically endangered species such as the orangutan and Sumatran tiger, as well as increased greenhouse gas emissions. Many palm oil plantations are built on top of existing peat bogs, and clearing the land for palm oil cultivation contributes to rising greenhouse-gas emissions."PLEASE TRY to reduce consumption of it Reply Lori Lee says: January 10, 2019 at 3:56 am You're already doing this I can see with the pasta sauce jars but reusing jars to put your pantry items into. To get the labels off, usually you can soak them in water for like an hour and they rub off easily. Reply Julie Cruz says: January 12, 2019 at 1:39 pm What better than bouillon flavor was that ? Reply Coe Hart says: January 12, 2019 at 3:51 pm I just got an instapot from my sister for Christmas. Learning how to use it, and just made white chili with jackfruit. Yummy! Reply Coe Hart says: January 12, 2019 at 3:57 pm Also, a roll of contact paper is great for labels that are easy to change. Ther is even chalkboard and dry erase now. Reply Belinda Delinger says: January 14, 2019 at 8:03 pm OMG du erinnerst mich so an Kim Kitsch von So geht das und Meghan Rienks <3 Reply Lei Arnaz says: January 22, 2019 at 3:27 am I live in Toronto. Reply BadWitch says: January 27, 2019 at 7:19 am What is the name/brand of the TVP slices in the jar that kind of look like dog treats? lol I'd like to get some, because Soy Curls always arrive to me broken into small pieces. Reply Max Miller says: February 10, 2019 at 3:42 am Literally my dream kitchen 😍😍 Reply Rhea Morales says: February 11, 2019 at 3:25 am I'm using my Better Than Boullion jars for sprouting seeds. I put about a tablespoon of mixed seeds in a clean jar and add water. Change the water daily until they start to sprout, then just rinse them daily as they grow. I store them in the fridge for a couple of days and add them to salads, bean dishes, wraps, etc. Reply Melz Manor says: April 14, 2019 at 11:37 am I feel you in the oils, I currently have 9 different kinds haha, also that spice collection is amazing!! The grocery stores are so variably stocked compared to other places… We don't have nearly as much variety where I live 🙁 Reply A K says: September 7, 2019 at 6:22 am Thk u for saying Turmeric correctly!! 🙏 Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
