Haylie Duff Shares Some Of Her Go-To Quick and Easy Dinner Recipes

.>>>We’re talking about the smells in here right now.>>Welcome back to “Access live,” joining us now is Haylie duff from real girl’s kitchen blog.>>Some of you are back to school and we’ll give you quick and healthy ways to have breakfast for dinner.>>This is one of my all-time favorite things.>>I love this dish and I feel like on everybody’s mind is the back-to-school season. So I’m really excited to partner with cans get you cooking to show you some of my favorite easy go-to kid-friendly recipes. And show you that cooking with cans could cut down your prep time so you could spend more time with your family.>>Sweet.>>So this is my family favorite. It is called eggs and purgatory.>>Wait a second. I went to catholic school. I know that is not a great place.>>This is a good version. So this is some bellpepper, some onion and cumin and then we’ll get into some of the cans. I love stocking my pantry with a bunch of canned goods because I have to make a million meals a week. I never grocery shop well so if I have it in there it is already done for me.>>It is a great way to have a lot of year-round seasonal vegetables. You wouldn’t be able to get otherwise. The tomatoes in the summer are great but not the winter so with cans you could have them all year.>>It does already. So this is the chili.>>And then we let this cook down. Do you want to cook? Get salt and pepper in there with me.>>Oh, no.>>Wait, it is — kit is like no, no.>>I do okay.>>Mac and cheese.>>I’m a c-plus.>>Mac and cheese for dinner.>>So we’ll cook this all down and let it get nice and thick. And then movie magic over to our thickened up one.>>Look at how cute the pans>>I love these because I like to double dip in my eggs in purgatory so if you have a single one.>>Why not eggs in paradise?>>We could call it paradise but I feel like it is just stuck.>>Purgatory it is.>>In the cast iron skillet. Do you want to crack or are you a little bit scared? Sure.>>One egg right into the middle. He’s ready to go.>>Doing it.>>And just be careful of your shells, right into the center.>>Nicely done.>>So my kids are getting protein when I do eggs.>>Eggs are a big deal in my family. My little one gets — she loves this dish because it is a mess.>>Exact live.>>So anything she could dive into. And cooking with cans, my girls cook with me more and it is all measured out and they could dump it in and they like to recycle.>>Before the segment we were talking about growing up in family and you and Hillary have kids around the same age now.>>Yes.>>How old is everybody now?>>So Ryan is four. Lulu is 14 months.>>Look at that.>>We like to get dorky, don’t we. In the same outfit. And then banks is like almost six months behind lulu.>>Haylie and I were geeking out on camera, but the way they smell when they are little bitty and she smell so good –>>Most of the time. So we’ll put these into the and if you like a runny egg, like five minutes.>>Or like a well done egg.>>Then ten minutes.>>Lie a scrambled egg.>>No, I need the yoke part to come out.>>Do you like it cooked?>>No, I like it runny.>>Me too, girl.>>Cool.>>>>I’ll have toast.>>Look at how good this looks.>>That is very pretty.>>A little parsley.>>And it is really a very simple recipe. That you could make in just a few minutes.>>It looks so good. We have to try this.>>And it looks like you have mad skills in the kitchen.>>And what is that guy?>>Well, this is a breakfast bake filled with all kinds of canned foods that you keep in your pantry all of the time. It is one of the easiest dishes to make.>>We’ll put that recipe — here it is up on our website. So what is in this?>>Mushrooms, black bean, sweet corn, diced tomatoes, eggs. Great breakfast dish but great for breakfast for dinner.>>I have a question.
