Egg Loaf | The easiest French Toast replacement you’ll ever make!
I’m gonna be making something in the
kitchen today that is STUPID easy. It’s
called an egg loaf, and it’s starting

another installment of #ILIKETOEAT. I
usually don’t… I don’t do these a whole
lot anymore, and the reason is that I
lose patience really quickly, and I don’t
have the time to cook a lot of stuff in
the kitchen, but this recipe is
custom-built for me, because it is the
most foolproof and dummy-proof (we’ll see)
recipe that I’ve seen in a long time.
It’s called an egg loaf. The recipe that
I’m going to be using is a variation of
the one that I found from @keto.sam.iam.
It’s really, really so simple, and for the
amount of work you put in, you get a lot
of bang for the effort buck, which is
right up my alley. This is a fantastic
replacement for French toast.
I find it to taste almost exactly like
French toast. It’s a little fluffier. So
it’s a great thing to have for dessert,
you can do sort of meal preppy stuff, and
save it and have it for lunch during the
week, but with some sugar-free syrup, it
is almost exactly like French toast. The
ratio of these things is really easy to
remember: For every egg that you use you
use, a tablespoon of butter and a[n ounce] of cream cheese. And the easiest way to do
that is to use eight, because that means
you’re just using a stick of butter and
a block of cream cheese. So first thing
you’re gonna have to do is set your oven
to 350 degrees. Preheat it. And if you
were smart enough to have gotten the
butter and the cream cheese out ahead of
kudos. I have not done that, because I’m
much more dumb. So we’re gonna microwave
these for about 30 to 45 seconds, but
before we do, we’ve got this 11×7
Pyrex, and I’m just going to grease
the sides with this butter before we zap
it. Let’s just throw our butter and our
cream cheese in this microwave safe bowl.
There we go. So there’s our butter and
cream cheese, melty.
We’re gonna put eight eggs in our
Oh god, I missed. Oh NO! It’s okay
We’ve got more eggs. You had an egg-plosion. Ha! I had an egg-plosion. Okay, now we’re just gonna add our butter and
cream cheese into our guy, here. And to
this, I’m also going to add about a
quarter-teaspoon of cinnamon. Right in
And that’s our mixture. That’s what’s
going to go into our Pyrex, here. Super-
easy. And then the last step is to just
sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on top.
There we go. And then this just goes in
our preheated 350 degree oven for about
40 minutes. All right, so 40 minutes is up.
Let’s take ‘er out.
All right, so here’s the thing. It is
beautiful. The macros for this entire
thing I’m going to flash right here. It’s
10 grams of carbs, 214 grams of fat, and
66 grams of protein. I’m gonna chop this
into sixths, so that’s gonna get us — per
slab — 1.7 carbs, 36 grams of fat, and 11
grams of protein. And there are actually
a lot of variations you can do with this
thing. You could add some flax — ground
flax before you bake it to give it a
little bit of a different texture. You can let
it cook a little bit longer — it’ll come
out a little breeder. But this is pretty
much just like the softest — it tastes
like French toast.
Okay, so there it is. That is the finished
project.. product. Project? Product. I’m
gonna put a little bit of this
sugar-free syrup on it. Oh, man. It is
exactly like French toast. It’s so crazy-
easy. Really idiot-proof. I love this. I’m
gonna be making this all the time. So
