Easy Garlic Herb Baked Salmon

Today on The Stay At Home Chef I’m showing
you how to make
Easy Garlic Herb Baked Salmon.
This salmon recipe is super easy to put together
and it’s also really tasty too.
We’re going to start by putting together
our herb garlic sauce.
You’ll need 2 tablespoons of extra virgin
olive oil
and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
You’ll want to use freshly squeezed lemon
juice on this
because it makes all the difference.
Then we’re going to add in
3 cloves of crushed garlic,
Once again i prefer fresh garlic.
And you’ll also need
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon dried oregano
And ½ teaspoon black pepper.
Then whisk this all together.
And that is going to be our sauce that we
drizzle over the salmon.
When you’re picking out salmon at your grocery
store
you want to smell it and make sure
it doesn’t have a strong fishy smell.
If it does, it’s not fresh, and you want
a different piece.
I prefer to buy wild caught salmon
as it has a much better flavor.
However, if it’s not in season it can be
really hard to find
and can be tremendously expensive
so you can always use farm raised.
However, I do like to make sure that i pick
farm raised that
Is sustainable and is kind of kind to the
fish.
And it’s not necessarily for environmentally
friendly reasons,
but it also just tastes better.
Lay a piece of aluminum foil onto a baking
sheet
and then spray it with some nonstick cooking
spray.
Then I’m going to take this beautiful wild
salmon filet
and lay it down onto that aluminum foil.
Then I’ll take our little sauce that we
made
and drizzle it right over the top and I’ll
spread
It out over the fish.
Then I’m going to sprinkle on one last herb.
You’ll need 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped
parsley.
Sprinkle that right on your salmon.
Then I also like to lay a couple of lemon
slices as well.
Just make sure those lemon slices are sliced
nice and thin.
Then we’re going to take the foil
and gently pull it up over the sides of the
salmon
to sort of wrap it just loosely.
Bake this in a 375 degree oven
for 15 to 20 minutes
Oor until your salmon flakes easily with a
fork.
Actual cooking time depends on the size and
thickness of your salmon filet.
And then, you’re ready to eat!
