Creole Deviled Eggs – Low Carb Keto Friendly Snack Recipe
Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present
my low carb deviled eggs. This dish makes
a perfect appetizer when you want to
entertain and also great keep on hand
when you’re feeling just a little hungry
and want a simple snack. Let’s get started.
We’ll start with a dozen hard
cooked eggs. If you know me, you know I
prefer them steamed rather than boiled.
Cut each long ways and remove the yolks
to a separate bowl. Notice, by steaming,
there is no graying of the yolks – very
evenly cooked. To the yolks, add some salt’
ground black pepper; a generous amount of
dried dill; a little cayenne pepper; some
lemon juice; a touch of hot sauce; some
creole mustard; a little mayonnaise; and
about 2 teaspoons of chopped capers.
Give this a mix to combine. Now if you have
any crab meat available, adding 2 to 4
ounces here would be a great addition. I
found a neat little item online to help
prep, carry and store your eggs. It holds
12 to 24 eggs and doesn’t take up much
room in the refrigerator. Place the egg
whites on a plate or egg tray; and with a
spoon or small scoop, return the spiced
yolk mixture to the egg whites.
Garnish with some smoked paprika and a little
dried dill. You’ll want to keep these stored
in the refrigerator until you’re ready
to serve them. These eggs are great for
entertaining or to have on hand when you
want a little snack. There you have it folks!
