and we are here at the Huntley Tavern
in Summit where we’re gonna have some
serious comfort food
if you love mac and cheese
wait till you see what these guys
are doing with it, let’s go.
All right I’m here with Chef Tim
he is the Magic Maker behind this dish
All right Tim tell us what goes into this dish.
Sure so it’s really basic right
I think all good food is basic.
We have our pulled pork, we have
our barbecue sauce
we have our bechamel
which we add our cheese to
we refer to it as our Mac goo
and we have our blanched pasta
I got to get involved this time I’m
getting in here let’s do it.
All of this cheese
I’m cheesy so.
So this is a blend of white cheddar,
we got some Gruyere in here a
little bit of smoked gouda.
This is not your Kraft
mac and cheese okay
We got some serious chef going on here.
Here come the shells.
Dive in guys.
Just dip a fry.
Absolutely. We get crazy
with the cheese sauce here.
We could have probably made eight
Kraft mac and cheeses by now
but this is the one you want to eat
So it’s interesting too you really want to
kinda give this a minute
to itself to really just absorb
all that goodness.
Let’s, let’s get it

So maybe like uh…
This is about the portion, oh, ok.
Everything relies on you Mac.
You are the base you are the foundation
I mean you’re eating pulled pork
mac and cheese I think you know
there’s no reason not to
there’s no reason to hold back
let’s say that.

All right so about four or five minutes
in the oven
let everything get nice and
The anticipation is killing me I can’t wait.

Yeah I think it’s a good mashup right
it’s a good marriage of food
you got the sweet from the barbecue
you got the smokey from the pork
you got the creamy cheesy
with the mac and cheese.
You can’t go wrong.
Look at that.
I got a shell, got some cheese
I got some pulled pork
I was so into this
I didn’t even put the napkin on my lap
You’ve got the smokiness of the pork
the creaminess of the cheese,
the shell is just the perfect vehicle
to grab that cheese
and bring it all together
and the smokiness,
because they’ve smoked the pork
this is so delicious.
If you love mac and cheese
you have to try this this.
This is like the mac and cheese
to end all mac and cheeses.
