what up guys and welcome back to the pit main cook kitchen for today’s quick meal prep recipe we are going to be whipping up some steak egg and sourdough frittatas I know it sounds like a mouthful and they really are an actual mouthful but it’s a really dope recipe know what I love about this recipe is that it combines some of our favorite elements of breakfast like I am mistaken eggs type of dude but sometimes I don’t have the time to sit down and have a steak and some over easy eggs and then some toasted sourdough all right I don’t have time in the morning to make this so I was thinking how can i still enjoy one of my favorite breakfast foods in record time and the answer came to me just make ratata edible I’m gonna boost the flavor a little bit with it’s a bell pepper but I’m also gonna show you a trick and the trick is adding the sour dough into the frittata oftentimes will heat the frittata on top of the sour dough but I’m gonna show you a really easy way to incorporate it and really the trick is just you’re gonna toast it and what that’s gonna do it’s going to boost the hardiness of it but it’s also gonna give the frittata texture because when is the last time you’ve bitten into a frittata and it’s been kind of solid even with all right today that changes because this recipe is going to blow your mind it’s just that good so if you are ready to roll up your sleeves guys and get your hands dirty then let’s get started what are two things that you can never eat for breakfast [Music] and hits you lunch and dinner come on that’s really easy all right here’s my joke so here’s my clothes okay how did Reese eat her cereal with her spoon had it easy to do it with us food that really tickles me alright hey let’s get on to today’s recipe okay first thing we’re gonna do is prep some toast so I’ve got some sourdough bread here you can use some whole wheat toast you can use some Ezekiel bread I’m gonna spray this with a little bit of oil you can use avocado oil or some olive oil can you do this instead of using butter and take a little bit of salt light sprinkle and then a little bit of pepper too if you’d like all right now we’re gonna toast this in the oven if you have a toaster big enough for this then just toast the bread but I’m gonna put this into the oven for about five minutes to toast up and after about five minutes we’ve got our toasted sourdough bread so we’re just gonna chop this into some squares so next we’re gonna prep the eggs so I’m going to add in some egg whites to my whole eggs along with a little bit of coconut milk and if you are allergic to coconut milk or you don’t like it you can also use heavy cream give this a good whisk next we’re gonna cook up our state so I’m gonna spray a nonstick skillet with a little bit of oil to some avocado oil you can also use some olive oil then toss in our chopped steak this is some skirt steak I’m a huge fan of flank steak they didn’t have it today at the grocery store but the skirt steak or flank steak is just fine and we’re gonna crank the heat all the way up and we want get a nice grip here on the stage let’s bring you on just a little bit of sea salt and some black pepper and personality with a little bit of dry thyme now when mistake is to your desired readiness and what we’re gonna do is toss them a little bit of onion and only if you like it to make it a little bit more voluminous you can toss it in some pressing stuff well fold and mix everything together chop up the mushrooms if you need to in the skillet well now we see that onions are beginning to caramelize the mushrooms are softening up and the steak is perfectly cooked again cook this to your desired readiness because you’re the one that has to eat it then remove it from the heat okay now let’s bring everything together so you’re gonna grab yourself a muffin tin or if you want you can put this in a large casserole dish I personally like the muffins because they’re great for individual serving sizes I’m gonna spray them with a little bit of oil and then just add in our ingredient I’m gonna add a little bit of steak some toast and then a pop of color with some bell pepper and the final step is to pour in the egg mixture you don’t want to pour too much be careful don’t fill it up to the brim it’s going to rise and last very optional ingredient is a little bit of cheese so you can do half and half so half of these can have cheese half about but just unless cheese sprinkle here on top again this is optional and these are ready to bake so we’re gonna fire up the oven to about 350 you’re gonna bake these for about 20-25 minutes until it’s cooked all the way through make sure the egg is cooked all the way through the steak it’s fine right we had that medium but the egg we definitely want cooked oh man these look amazing I wish you all could smell this because this smells exactly like steak and eggs almost like but he does take an egg tacos or something in all this is an awesome three but I know that I would love to wake up to but also just any time of day my favorite part can you hear the crunch did you hear the crunch I’m a gentleman time the others for this vegan this is what I think is so amazing about this recipe this is why I toasted the bread so that way it wouldn’t get soggy under all the egg we’ve got some crunch because of sourdough listen you’re gonna go in the sing over this recipe tell the people what it tastes like tell the people what it tastes like I don’t know how to choose it’s so good we’re Instagram at the same time just a side of the recipes close you hear that crunch you’re the Christ is my mic right here you hear the crunch they’re not soggy cuz I think the bread helps and that’s Augie it’s where you got toasted bread like that almost
