The ones that don't aren't cheap but then again, maybe it's cheaper than losing your teeth? Reply natureasintended says: March 4, 2019 at 1:14 pm Dr Greger check out The Fruit Doctor's recent video. She is drinking smoothies made with lettuce and lettuce juice, plus consuming loads of veggies in an evening salad. Reply Pickle Beaker! says: March 4, 2019 at 1:14 pm Hey, He said 'let's find out' instead of 'put it to the test'. The world is changing! Reply Manggae Tteokki says: March 4, 2019 at 1:16 pm I find it so interesting that nitrates help with the gums. I just had a rocket and dandelion salad so I feel good about these findings hehe. Reply meow0meow7 says: March 4, 2019 at 1:21 pm “That never stopped doctors” lmao Reply Mary J says: March 4, 2019 at 1:22 pm Ahahaahaha rocket science!! Very interested video as always, thanks Doc! Reply Simeon Carter says: March 4, 2019 at 1:30 pm Just eat pickles, onions, and garlic for breakfast every day. Winner breath. Reply Steven L. says: March 4, 2019 at 1:32 pm Anyone have thoughts on flossing right after a meal? I use a water flosser and because it seems so powerful and supposedly removes more plaque than brushing, I'm afraid it will remove enamel if I use it after eating. Reply De Stressfrlyf says: March 4, 2019 at 1:43 pm That lettuce juice & its doctoring up surely didn't sound too appealing to me either Reply Miha Skorjanc says: March 4, 2019 at 1:47 pm Plants are our best bets! 🙂 Reply Trace Absence says: March 4, 2019 at 1:56 pm When I changed my diet to whole foods one, I noticed about a month later that my gums had stopped bleeding. They used to bleed a lot every morning and evening while I brushed. I haven’t seen blood in the sink eversince. Reply Eelke Aptroot says: March 4, 2019 at 1:59 pm Sounds like dentists might just as well be issuing candy before and after a visit… Reply Eduardo Bertazzo says: March 4, 2019 at 2:08 pm I'm a dentist and I'm loving these videos. I talk about diets/nutrition but just because I am really into it, most of dentist's indeed do not ever talk about it. Just recommend not eating too much sugar and that's it… Reply Lawrence lawrence says: March 4, 2019 at 2:25 pm After eating raw garlic I found that popcorn was the best thing to eat to get rid of the garlic smell. I am thinking that the dryness and abrasive sandpaper affect of the popcorn scrapes away at the garlic juices that are on mouth and throat. Reply monkeygirl000 says: March 4, 2019 at 2:49 pm Oh…I saw a new dentist who, after learning that I eat a plant-based diet, “cautioned” me about how “damaging” that can be to teeth (specifically, wearing-down grinding surfaces). While the grinding aspect may be true to some degree (comparing my regular raw carrot, nut, seed, raw greens, and raw apple chewing to a typical meat-eater’s soft, mostly cooked diet), this was, coincidentally, during a period where I was really loving mostly soft foods (hummus, applesauce, cooked beans, berries, clear soups, etc.). You can generalize populations, but not individuals. Reply Not Today says: March 4, 2019 at 2:52 pm This makes me wonder if much of the benefit from gum is from the chewing and not the mint/other flavoring. Reply Adnan A says: March 4, 2019 at 2:57 pm I know a few people who could use this 😜 Reply Joseph B says: March 4, 2019 at 2:58 pm I really like the focus on teeth health through nutrition. I wonder if there are particular foods that are especially good good for teeth health similar to the way ginger is especially good for stomach pain, radiation reduction etc. Reply Travis Williamson, Esq. says: March 4, 2019 at 3:03 pm Thank you for another great video. Reply Michael Schofield says: March 4, 2019 at 3:07 pm Would individuals mind helping me. Even though I'm doing my own research, I'd appreciate any help in what else i can obtain for my whole foods plant based eating. Various suggestions are welcomed, there's no wrong answer. I'm grateful for anyone who can help. ✌🥑🍇🍈🍉🍊🍋🍌🍍🍅🍓🍒🍑🍐🍏🍎🥥🥑🍆🥔🥕🌽🍞🌰🥜🍄🥦🥒🌶 Reply Singha360 says: March 4, 2019 at 3:10 pm Everybody needs this knowledge!!! Thanks Dr. Greger Reply Gold Wolf says: March 4, 2019 at 3:40 pm I thought nitrates cause cancer? Isn’t that why you and other vegans say don’t eat meats like sausage? Because of the high nitrates? Why its only ok from Lettuce juice and not meat? Your video is contradicting. Reply Lincoln Clay says: March 4, 2019 at 3:42 pm Eggs are healthy. Reply Chris Namaste says: March 4, 2019 at 3:56 pm A UK centric joke about rocket. The Americans were all puzzled. Reply Greg p says: March 4, 2019 at 4:01 pm The IAOMT proved there are spirochetes in the gum line and below that destroy the integrity of the roots of the teeth and supporting structure. and that they are passed on from oral contact with others, including pets. If you want healthy gums and teeth, kill the spirochetes. Reply NoCommentChick says: March 4, 2019 at 4:24 pm Lettuce Juice is the cousin of Japanese rapper Lotus Juice. Reply Steph Ss says: March 4, 2019 at 4:34 pm How about sinuses? I have had chronic sinus (sinusitis flare-ups) ever since I was a small child. We didn't have netty pots in the 70/80's, but we did have gum. My "bad breath" was a symptom of my nasty sinuses, and the only solution was to cauterize (which I refused as a kid), or the gum. So, I had years of ingesting whatever was in those sticks, to mask the smell. It wasn't until I made the connection to my allergies/inflammation and the food I was consuming, that not only can I breath better, but the heath of my sinuses improve dramatically. The sinuses are soft caves, designed to catch particles and moistened the air…if they are not taken care of, they can stink too. This disease is found mostly in the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe and is blamed on a high fibre diet. Is there any research showing otherwise or how to prevent it. Reply A G says: March 4, 2019 at 6:32 pm If lettuce juice was that helpful, just imagine what arugula would do? Hundreds of times more nitrates. Reply Lolakhin says: March 4, 2019 at 7:14 pm I just had a dental checkup today and after adapting a WFPB diet and without changing my oral care, my gum health improved tenfold. I was wondering if you could do more videos on acne? specifically the alleged link between acne and streptococcus? i’m very curious about this as i have horrible acne. thank you! Reply Veganimal says: March 4, 2019 at 8:58 pm Ok, but I hope people won't take this to mean you don't have to go to the dentist! I've been whole foods plant based for over 8 years. I didn't go to a dentist from 2013-2018 because I didn't have insurance, but I thought I'd be ok because I hadn't had cavities in years and I eat very clean and brush and floss everyday. Welp, I got insurance so I went to the dentist last year and learned I had 6 cavities and had to get 2 crowns, plus my gums were in bad shape. I had no idea because my gums didn't bleed and I had no pain. I've had to pay thousands of dollars for the crowns and deep cleanings that weren't covered by my insurance. So please, everyone, go to the dentist, get regular cleanings and exams! Why are so many vegans quitting veganism and making videos about it? Reply Hulagu Kahn says: March 5, 2019 at 2:39 am And smoothies came in and screw the whole thing up. Reply Amanda * Aussie-at-heart says: March 5, 2019 at 4:43 am Since I starting eating a carnivore / zero plant diet, my dental health has improved a lot. I used to get severe infections, bleeding gums, swellings around gum-line – (I lost teeth which was not necessary. My bone density around jaw line was getting worse the longer I was a vegetarian and vegan. We need our minerals which is more bio-available from animal foods – fat needed to absorb. Complete animal protein needed for metabolism. Other health issues also have gone or getting better on meat diet, eat meat. Reply Dorothy Yergeau says: July 27, 2019 at 10:54 am One among my family members is struggling with foul breath. Her mouth can be closed and the smell comes through her nose. She loves to pop tic spearmint gum and breath mints, but those don`t help at all. This smelly breath treatment “Kanzοzο Zato” (Google it) helped her. I`m really happy that it neutralized her breath. . Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
