BEST EVER KETO SPICE CAKE WITH CINNAMON CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

hey guys welcome back to my channel
thanks for joining me today if you’re

food and we’re talking some Thanksgiving
food and if you are watching your carbs
for your gluten-free for you’re keto or
you’re sugar free or any of those kinds of
things and you’re looking for something
that you can make on Thanksgiving as a
dessert that isn’t going to blow your
diet stay tuned and let’s do this
okay so what I make on Thanksgiving is a
spiced cake with cream cheese frosting
and this has no grain no sugar no gluten
no flour none of that
only good stuff but it’s amazing and
it’s really really easy because I use
this one special ingredient that I buy
and then I make my own frosting so I’m
gonna take you into my kitchen and I’m
gonna show you how to do it okay we are
gonna make a spice cake or a pumpkin
spice cake you choose really easy to get
the difference in here and what I am
gonna be using is super easy I love this
find this is the trim healthy mama
Cuffin cinnamon spice mix and you can
make cookies out of this you can make
cake out of this cupcakes muffins it’s
very very versatile but it is a cinnamon
spice mix now I find that it’s not quite
enough spice for me so I am gonna add a
few things to this but this is the base
and I will have a link in the
description box below you just go to
show more click on that down there it
will show you where you can pick one of
these up I always have these on hand
they are amazing the only thing you
should note about this is on the back it
has some very generic instructions on
how to make these things but it does not
tell you what temperature to put your
oven at so I make this cake at 350 in a
glass-bottom pan but I don’t bake it for
the time that it says to bake because
the time would depend on what your
temperature is so they don’t put a
temperature on there at all so also it
calls for when you’re making the cake
five large eggs I think that that’s too
many eggs because it has too much of a
egg white eggy sort of texture to me so
if I’m using large eggs I use only four
and today I’ve got medium eggs and
I’m gonna use five of those but usually
I just use four so you know take these
instructions on the back here with a
grain of salt and play around with it to
see what fits you okay so we’re gonna
take and a cup and a half of this and
then what I did is I added another
teaspoon of cinnamon to this and then I
added another tablespoon of pumpkin
spice in here as well so you’ll see that
on the top so that’s gonna go into our
Bowl here we are gonna be putting in
five medium eggs half a cup of water and
then this also calls for five
tablespoons of melted butter or five
tablespoons of coconut oil please five
tablespoons of butter no put a whole
stick in here I’m gonna melt this and
put a whole stick in here you can never
go wrong with a little bit of extra
butter okay so I’ve got my melted butter
in here this is a whole stick of butter
and I’m gonna pour that in and then we’re
just gonna blend this up! Get that all incorporated.
now that it’s all mixed in here we are
going to dump it into an 8×8 pan if you
wanted to do round pans you could
do that but you would have to increase
the amount of ingredients because it
won’t make that much so on the packaging
it says 30 to 35 minutes that’s way too
long if you’re at 350 I think I’m gonna
watch it I think it’s ready at about 25
minutes you can put a toothpick in the
middle of it it will start to pull away
from the sides I have mine lined with
parchment paper and I sprayed it just a
little bit with nonstick spray as well
and this is enough to do one 8 by 8 pan
and you can either just frost the top of
it or you can get fancy and cut it in
half in the middle and stack it up which
is what I do and I will show you that
when it’s done so I’m just gonna spread this
out and we’re gonna bake this and I am
going to check it at 20 minutes but it
might take 25 my mom calls this these
spatulas child cheaters because they
scrape the bowl out so well it cheats
the child from licking out the bowl all
right putting this in a 350 oven, see you in
20 minutes.
okay well that’s cooking in the oven I’m
gonna show you how I make my cinnamon
cream cheese frosting these are the
things you’re gonna need you’re going to
need a stick of cream cheese a stick of
butter half a cup of heavy cream some
sweetener cinnamon and some vanilla but
this brightener I use is a homemade
sweetener blend that doesn’t cause
stomach upset for anyone who’s kind of
sensitive to Splenda and things like
that so I’ll have that in the
description below with the measurements
and what I buy for all of that and
that’s more kind of to taste depending
on how sweet you actually want your
frosting so I start off with about a
quarter cup of it it’s powdered so I’ve
whipped it up in a magic bullet to make
it easier to blend into here and not
grainy and but you’re gonna start with
butter and it’s salted butter I know
everybody uses unsalted butter but I
actually like that little kick up salt
in there probably addicted to salt and
then your cream cheese
these are softened butter and softened
cream cheese got our half a cup of heavy
cream I just do a dash of cinnamon um
it’s probably a half a teaspoon but
that’s to taste as well just to give it
a little bit of some warmth and then
you’re gonna do a teaspoon of vanilla,
that’s capful and I got my sweetener
we’re just gonna blend this up okay so
now you have frosting which is gonna go
on this cake and it’s cinnamon and sweet
like cinnamon cheesecake that’s so good
all right we’ll wait until the cake is done
I’ll throw this on okay so I am back
with this cake and just see it’s not
very big so if you’re wanting to make a
really big cake for Thanksgiving or for
a big party you’re gonna need to kind of
double the batch there so that you can
have two of these and make a much larger
cake but you can just leave it like this
cuz it’s not very huge and just frost it
all around and it’d be good to go I’m
gonna try and make a layer cake out of
this because it looks prettier and
there’s more frosting involved so WIN WIN! so it
has cooled off I’ve cut it in half and
now the trick is getting half on this
plate with this delicate cake and not
breaking it so, fingers crossed!
okay so that worked okay so now we’re
gonna put some frosting on now we’re
gonna put the other half on top
yeah you know first the top my husband
came out here and was like what are you
doing and I said I’m making a cinnamon
pumpkin spiced cake for a video for
Thanksgiving he’s like Thanksgiving
isn’t for two weeks when do I get to eat
this so I’m gonna give him some of this
we’re just gonna eat this because it’s
amazing
now bonus frosting tip if you get a
credit card or a gift card or something
that doesn’t have any raised numbers on
it you can smooth out a cake using this
and so you just kind of run it down and
if you need you can wipe this off and
use hot water but it will create a
smooth surface and then if you want you
can just pipe around the edges and make
it super pretty I’m filming right now
okay you can come in do you want to come
and taste this cake that I’m attempting
to frost and make look pretty with that
card this is how you make a smooth top
it’s a hack with the card you just use
a gift card or something that doesn’t
have raised brail on it just a way to get
rid of credit cards um this is a
pharmacy discount card so Did you sterilize
that thing well I licked it is that good
well no I mean it’s fine for me, I don’t know about our children….
What they don’t know will not hurt them right yeah
you know we are live right? Yep, we are live. What do you want to know?
well I just really need to understand if
someday our children hear that comment
and wonder about all sorts of things well it might be why
they are
infested with parasites, I don’t know. It’s what has made them so jaded over the years?
it’s what has made them tough they can withstand
anything mama mama spit makes
them tough? Listen mama spit makes them tough. It was one thing that I was
sure I would never do would be to lick
my thumb and clean off my kids faces and
I have done that more times than I can
count
okay so I’m just gonna show you how to
decorate this really cute I’ve got these
little things right here little plastic
these are not edible
do not let your children eat this okay
but you can put them on here and then we
bite into it and eat which my husband is
so ready to do now if this is really
Thanksgiving I would do a pretty border
and all that but I have vultures
hovering so we’ll just cut into this and
see what it looks like all right so
we’re just gonna cut a little corner of
this off and hubby over here can
taste this
a little extra frosting here on the
plate I’m gonna just give that to you
you’re not gonna come over here and
taste this on camera? You need a fork I didn’t
get you a fork um you could just stick
your face in it that would be super great! okay all
right so there is what it looks like all
done

than pretty good that’s right more than

no back away from the cake! all right
that’s it enjoy okay it’s super simple
get yourself some of this stuff you can
make muffins out of it you can make
cookies out of it and in fact I’m gonna
make some spice cookies take that cream
cheese frosting sandwich it in and make
sandwiches throw them in the freezer and
they’re gonna taste like cheese cake
cookie sandwiches I’m making some of
