Beans and the Second Meal Effect November 6, 2019 100 By William Morgan CategoryArticlesTagsbeans blood sugar bread chickpeas diabetes fiber garbanzo beans glycemic index insulin lentil effect lentils Metabolic Syndrome Pasta peas potatoes prediabetes rice second meal effect sugar 100 Comments NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE says: July 11, 2013 at 3:55 pm there is no such condition as a bean allergy. beans are the most suitable food for synergistic energy our bodies can convert. If there is a reaction it's due to some other aspect such as a cleansing effect or the fibre pushing crap and the person feeling toxic effects from what is ALREADY inside their dirty bodies. Reply NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE says: July 11, 2013 at 3:58 pm yes Tyrone, along with – animal products, refined sugars coupled with other deficiencies such as gout, over blown candida which causes toxic effects, metals in the body and of course lack of phsyical dynamic exercise. No thinking hard does not count. Anything in a plastic bottle should be avoided at all costs – oh in aluminum cans also – aluminum causes brain disfunction and teeth rot along with the corn sugar. but this is old info..everyone knows this now don't they? lol Reply NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE says: July 11, 2013 at 4:00 pm The fat theory only applies with you have plaque build up in such a way that fat hangs off the plaque on the cellular walls otherwise it's about the condition of the cell walls that absorb nutrients that is important for absorbing your energy. We need fat and colesterol in healthy doses to function as humans Reply AstralStorm says: July 11, 2013 at 5:09 pm One can be allergic to almost any foreign matter. Heck, soy protein allergy is pretty common and some beans can cross react (e.g. wax beans), while allergy to kidney beans, pinto beans or green pea is rarer but not unknown. Even cases of anaphylaxis. Usually results in swollen red mouth and pain, but low grade could cause just heartburn. It's near impossible to be allergic to all kinds of beans though. I blame our too clean environments loaded with weird chemicals, some of which are allergens. Reply TJ B says: July 11, 2013 at 6:05 pm Just animal eating. The rest of stuff you mentioned only in combination with ingesting animal products is what causes diabetes. I admit that the toxicity level of a vegan would be off of the charts but that vegan would not become diabetic. You also have to remember that when you eat a plant based diet you flush out and recover a lot quicker than you do with animal based diet. With a vegan a simply changing out of processed plants and drinking plenty of water with regular daily exercise is good. Reply TJ B says: July 11, 2013 at 6:13 pm Was your brother living a sedentary lifestyle? Did he even care about his blood acidity levels? Then that's why he got fat. Just a simple change to whole plant foods and vigorous exercises at least 4 times a week and at 20 minutes a day he would of easily got the pounds off in comparison to a meat eater. Again like I said in a previous comment ( a vegan in their correct mind) would take all things in moderation. Reply NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE says: July 11, 2013 at 6:18 pm Soy protein is an isolate – and hence causes much problems with alot of people – like Peanut products too as the processing and genetic tinkering also makes anaphylaxis as you did mention. It's also much healthier to buy then in bulk then sprout for at least 6-8 hours before cooking or eating too right? So then wouldn't just like for example buying a bunch of lentils sprouting overnight then keep in the fridge and just have a handful with every meal be a great way to implement them to the diet to improve health for someone who doesn't normally eat bean family items? If so , which would be the best to sprout and take every meal? thx Reply J. Vanek says: August 30, 2013 at 8:03 pm WOW!!! WOW!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!! He said he was a "fat free" vegan. There is a HUGE difference. The Vegetarian Society of Hawaii has a really interesting video of Mike Teehan illustrating the difference. It's the "Winning a Lifetime Battle Against Obesity" one. Watch for the chart he puts up to show what happens after going fat free. Just going vegan is for cow kissers. Fat free vegan is for health. Add 4 tsp of salt. (Especially old beans…can you really tell?). Forget the myth, we’re not cooking, yet.•Soak overnight or 6 to 8 hours.•Bring to a boil, and boil 2 minutes.•Remove from heat, cover and soak 4 hours.•Now, discard water and rinse beans.•Cover beans with water and bring to simmer.•Cook until tender.•Drain and serve.Note: I use a pressure cooker (7 minutes at 15 lbs for Pinto beans). Beans are an important part of my diet, almost every day! Here's a fun fact: Eating soaked raw or undercooked beans can result in food poisoning. The culprit is a plant lectin known as phytohaemagglutinin or simply hemagglutinin, a chemical known to cause agglutination of mammalian red blood cells and to disrupt cellular metabolism. According to the US Food and Drug Administration, phytohaemagglutinin is found in many types of beans, but red kidney beans contain the highest levels of hemagglutinin.White kidney beans contain a third as much toxin while broad varieties of beans contain 10% as much hemagglutinin as red kidney beans. This is still plenty, since you only need to eat 4-5 undercooked red kidney beans to get sick.http://chemistry.about.com/b/2014/02/05/hemagglutinin-and-food-poisoning-from-beans.htm Reply matchbox555 says: January 7, 2016 at 7:16 pm if god had wanted us to eat beans he would have made them taste like steak Reply Madao Trismegistus says: January 20, 2016 at 9:35 pm dude sounds like danger dolan Reply gra22 says: January 31, 2016 at 10:44 pm Then Why do I fart so much when i eat beans?
