7 Month Keto Diet Weight Loss Update

Hello and welcome back to my Channel.
Today I’m going to share my seven months
keto diet update. I am just so excited to
share this milestone with you. I thought
six months was awesome last month and
now seven months it’s just yeah been a
dream of a month as well it’s been a
really interesting month and I’m kind of
calling it my 7 month keto update but
through the months I definitely strayed
from Keto, but for good reason because
I was in Japan and Singapore and I’ve
slowly been sharing all of the
highlights of that and it’s just yeah
it was an awesome holiday was
awesome break and I very slowly eased
off of keti so what happened, yeah I’m
coming straight into today’s video, okay
so what happened was in my last month’s video I
mentioned I wanted to kind of go off Keto,
have more fruit and veggies so that I
could be free while I was in Japan and
sample, to be able to eat fruit and
vegetables and not have to worry. So what
I did was while I was away i did that.I
had more fruit, I had more veggies and
then kind of each day as the days
progress from one to the next I also had
more other foods, and I didn’t have bread
I didn’t have dumplings, I’ve didn’t have Ramen
or anything like that but I am I would
have little bits of chocolate or
whatever my mom was having I had a
little bit, I mean when we’re, by the
time we got to Tokyo which was our last
stop I was eating definitely not
normally but definitely more low carb
high fat with other bits thrown in I
think I think they say that 80/20 rule
that’s kind of what I was doing eighty
percent was low carb high fat and the
other twenty percent was just
it was just it was foods that I’ve never
seen before and I just thought you know
I’m on holiday I’m not going to go crazy
as long as it doesn’t make me feel awful
that’s what I was more
concerned about I was more concerned
about feeling awful while i was on
holidays thank I was about what the scale
said when i came home but we’ll get to
that in a minute, probably the highlight
of all the food was this spectacular ice
cream that I had with my mom in Tokyo
she went, or I found it while
researching things to do in Tokyo it’s
an eight layered ice cream
it’s insane I’ll maybe pop a little clip
in a second right here so you can see the madness.
How awesome is that! That’s what we came here for!
so yeh, there are 8 flavours, lovingly prepared
and my mom even though my Mom is teeny
she was quite into having ice cream but
I really wanted to try the flavors I’ve
heard that the flavors, really is
such wonderful flavor and such true
flavors so I definitely had a taste of
the ice cream trying the different
layers and seeing what they taste like
and it tasted amazing and I have zero
regrets because I’ve never tasted ice
cream like that this was really to be
said for the food in Japan if something
said it was strawberry flavored it
tasted like real strawberries not
artificially flavored everything there
was just so whole so real I found I could
cope with dairy where at home I haven’t
been coping with dairy that was the
other way other foods that I’ve strayed
was I probably had a little tub of
yogurt every day I have tried all
different flavors orange flavored I’ve
different berries they had ten different
flavored yogurt and I was quite happy
having it and knowing that yet it’s
a higher level of sugars but it was
yogurt and also the steps we were taking
while holiday my mum was wearing a
Fitbit and we were walking something
like 12 to 18 thousand steps a day so I
knew I had to get more calories it I
knew I needed more food or I would end
up in trouble and I just found having
something like yogurt while I was out
and about yogurt became a staple for me
every day and going to convenience store
than just finding a whole range of food
I’ve shared a convenience store video as
well which I’ll leave a link to it was
just it was just such an awesome array
of food and I just felt that I ate
intuitively which is how I’d always
wanted to eat and I’d always talked
about intuitive eating before keto yeah
I’m just
eat to hunger and that’s what I’m going
to do and that’s what i did was away and
I didn’t really think too much about Oh
what’s the scale going to say or I’m
cheating or I’m doing that
it was it was none of that it was really
just I’m in Japan when am I going to be
in Japan again I’m going to stick to
foods that make me feel good and I’m
going to just try others little bits
here and there and what happened
happened and I felt good that was the
thing at home any time where I’ve
colored outside the lines as they would
say when I’ve eaten any foods which are
not low carb I feel awful I just my
stomach hurts and I just feel awful I
didn’t feel that way in Japan so as I
said maybe it’s something to do with the
quality of the food there but anyhow I
ate as I ate mostly sticking out so too
low carb high fat as you’ll see in the
videos that I’ve been sharing and it was
just I was just awesome and so saying
all of that when I came back home to
Australia the morning after i came home
i was curious to see how much weight did
put on over just, just eating and i
was curious to see what the scales
would say so after two weeks of being
away and just eating and not thinking
about it I put on a total of point 2 yep
200 grams I put on 200 grams of all that
with the ice cream and if I’m completely
honest I didn’t have Ramen and I didn’t
have anything in Japan but on my very
last day in Singapore I had a little bit
of noodles. So, I had amazing chicken dish
and had noodles underneath and I even
said I wasn’t going to eat any but I’ve
had the chicken and I just thought I’ll
just have a few chopsticks full and I had
maybe three or four chopsticks of
noodles and I felt fine having it and
doing that but that was really all the
noodles I had a whole holiday and so
yeah I have foods I hadn’t had for so
long but it was kind of a gradual
gradual move towards having less keto
for any foods as the time went on I
didn’t go and have a carb fest from day
one and so yeah I put on point two and
then I weighed myself the next day and
actually lost half a kilo so I lost
those plus another point three so I
lost half a kilo and
yep so my total for seven months I can’t
remember what I had said for six months
I was going to look it up when
filming but didn’t my total for
seven months on keto or off
for the last month is 16 kilos which is
I definitely know right now I’m at the
lowest that I’ve been in forever and it
just feels awesome amazing i’ll leave a
blog post down below with more
information and i might stick some
before and after photos so i haven’t
taken any after photos but i do have a
couple of photos i took on holiday
which I I look at and I feel awesome in
so I might share those in the blog post
down below and so moving through this
video I’ve got so much in my head I
wanted to say I never script these monthly
videos I just talked and talked and I
have kind of things in my head I want to
say and it all comes out at once, okay
next point, non-scale victory so what
happened there were a couple of amazing
like aha moments while away the
first one being it’s kind of like these
these monthly updates as well are TMI
updates because I don’t I shouldn’t be
saying these things on the internet but
anyway I do okay the first non scale
victory was I fit in the airplane seat I
that was huge for me I didn’t need an
extension seat belt again cringe
can’t believe I’m saying this and since my
kids were born every time I’ve traveled
soon as I sit down and don’t even bother doing
up the seat belt I a call flight
attendant over and say can I please have
a seat belt extension because the seat
belt just won’t they just won’t cover
all this and so I was curious to see how
it would be and I sat down and I could
fit in the seat and I
could do my seat belt up and pull it. There
was also a bit of room which like I was
just I was so excited and my mom I flew
traveled with my mom and she knows what
a big deal that was for me and I before
I even started Keto, when we booked this trip I
was dreading the flight because I
thought I’d be taking up half a seat I’d
be using just more seat belt I was just
absolutely dreading it so that was the
not first non scale victory I
fit in the seat that was just
awesome and second was when we were in
Singapore it was so hot in Singapore, I’ve been
before but I kind of forgot how crazy
humid is there though, my viewers that
live in singapore total respect for you
I don’t know how I would cope with that
weather, I was struggling, I was
struggling with the heat so much so that
i wore a sleeveless dress which i never
do i live in dresses but there’s always
a top underneath a top in between
there’s just this always extra layers
and I was so hot that I just thought the
day when we were out and sightseeing
I’m wearing a dress without a top
underneath and I might even pop a little
picture of it over here to show you I
was I was so pleased with myself that i
wore a top with this sleeveless top i
was just it was awesome i felt so good
that uh yeah I hadn’t had the confidence
to do that in so long and I still have
work to do definitely but I felt
normal going out and about just wearing
wearing a sleeveless dress without
thinking people are looking at me and
just thinking oh my goodness cover
it up women and so that was another
non-scale victory was just feeling good
wearing sleeveless dress so I’m back
home now I’ve got this awesome japan
trip and memories behind me and now it’s
the tricky part of getting back into
keto and I’ve shared my, I’ve
filmed a video of what I eat the day
getting back into keto I’m not sure the
order whether I’ve shared it already or
if I’m just going to share after this
video but i’ll leave a link down below
soon as it’s live and in the information

getting back into it i’m trying my best
I have to say my weakness is chocolate
because I did buy a bit of chocolates while
I was away which maybe I shouldn’t have
bought quite so many but I found a few
different brands which tasted good and
which as far as I could read had low ish
carbs but they’re these teeny little
package chocolates that are just so easy
to eat and eat by the handful so that’s
kind of my, has been my downfall as
every day I’m waking up and saying I
will not eat chocolate today and yes it
doesn’t quite happen the rest of days be
fine i haven’t
I haven’t felt like going to bread or
noodles or pasta or any other carby
things I’ve got back into having my eggs
for breakfast, salads for lunch, meaty dinners
it just straight back into it I love the
keto way of life i love i love how it
makes me feel aside from feeling mostly
good while i’ve had a couple of like
things like my teeth have been feeling
not so great as they were when i was
pre keto before when i was eating like
all the sugar and i haven’t been
sleeping quite as well which also is
something that through keto I’ve been
sleeping awesomely lately i’ve been
waking up through the night and just
I’ve been struggling so i definitely
look forward to being one hundred
percent back into ketosis and it’s just
going to take time I suppose to get my
body back into it but again no regrets
how often am I going to Japan that may
have been the only time in my life time
so I ate what I ate it’s done it’s over I
just got to each day wake up and do my
best to keto and to move forward and to
get continue this lifestyle which I
completely love and I’ve still got I’m
trying to work out how many kilos I
still want to lose, I still there about 20 kilos, so I’ve
lost 16 I could do it another 16 to 20 so
we’re kind of the halfway point and it’s
taken me seven months if it takes
another year, so be it I’m not bothered
if I lose a kilo or two kilos a
month as long as you will join me on
journey as I am going through all the
ups and downs and all the wonder of
Keto and all that I’ve got so many
ideas for meals while I was away I kept a
notebook with all things I’ve got
some recipes I want to test that’ll come
in due time, I’ve still got lots of work to
do on them so in the meantime I hope
