055 – How Many Calories You Should Eat on Keto

Hey, it’s Rocky Black from DailyKetoChef.com.
You can read hundreds of articles suggesting
how much calories a “typical” woman should
eat to lose weight and feel great on keto.
The keyword here is… typical. In reality,
nobody is typical. We’re all very unique.
So there’s no one-size-fits-all type of answer
to this question. Plus, to be honest, I don’t
know anyone who loves counting and tracking
their calories ๐Ÿ™‚ So what to do instead? I
assume your goal is to lose weight. OK, so
let’s start with some basic math. 1 pound
of body fat contains approximately 3.500 calories
of stored energy. So basically if you’re 50
pounds overweight, your fat stores 175.000
calories of energy your body can use. In order
to burn that excess energy and lose weight,
you have to consume LESS calories than you
burn every day… to start “withdrawing”
from this fat bank of yours. Plus you have
to train your body to use fat for energy…
which means being in the ketosis. OK, let’s
continue… Every day you burn let’s say 2000
calories even if you rest all day or lie in
the bed. It’s called your basic metabolic
rate. So from these two numbers, you should
be able to calculate your ideal daily calorie
intake for optimal weight-loss, right? Unfortunately,
it’s not that easy at all. There are other
variables that play a big role in this formula
… How old are you? How much do you exercise?
How stressed you are? How fast or slow is
your metabolism? How much you sleep? How many
diets have you tried in the past? How calories
influence your hormones? There is no way
we can calculate that. So instead of trying
to figure out your calories that you should
eat daily, I’m gonna recommend you try certain
things to see what works for you. It will
be a self-discovery about how many calories
you should eat… without counting them ๐Ÿ™‚ So
I suppose that you’re doing keto already.
Now based on that I want you to eat a keto
meal and note to yourself how you feel after
you finish: 1. still hungry? 2. satisfied?
3. stuffed? You need to stay in that satisfied
zone – not hungry anymore, pleasantly full
but not overly stuffed. Don’t worry about
calories, just be aware of your feelings and
shoot for the satisfying feeling. Keep that
in mind with every meal. Now we need to find
out how often you should eat. So the first
step is to eliminate snacks altogether. If
you start losing weight after that, this is
all that was needed for you. If not, you need
to go one step further – start eating only
2 meals a day. Skip breakfast and only eat
lunch and dinner. Both until you feel satisfied,
as we’ve discussed before. If you start losing
weight now, perfect and stick to it. If it’s
not enough, go to one meal per day. This works
especially well for people over 40 or 50.
This way you’ll find out your perfect calorie
intake for YOUR body for weight-loss. The
goal here is to eat as little as possible
while you still feel satisfied. Hope this
helps! If you want more powerful tips like
