๐Ÿ’ฐMASSIVE COSTCO Once-A-Month GROCERY HAUL for our LARGE FAMILY + WHERE Do We PUT It ALL???

August 31, 2019 100 By William Morgan

– Hi there.
We’re gonna do a great big large family
grocery shopping haul today.
We’re gonna go to Costco and probably Aldi
and all kinds of things.
But what am I doing
right now, you might ask?
Well.
My van can’t even describe
the depths of mess,
’cause you know, we use our van.
We love our van, don’t we?
Use it all the time, put
hundreds of miles a week on it.
Anyway, it just, it
needed a mama’s scrubbing.
Literally could not even go
shopping again until we do this,
so we pause this start of a
great big shopping day out
to right now I’m digging funky stuff.
We’ve got this door slider mechanism
and had crayons, colored
pencils, few watch batteries,
who knows, all kinds of
stuff it shouldn’t have.
So I’m digging that out.
Well that’ll help the door close easier.
I know this really isn’t
a van cleaning video,
but it will help my shopping.
This is why we got the utility floor.
And then we just took
out Benjamin’s car seat.
All kinds of little Easter eggs there.
It will feel so much
better to shop though today
with this cleaned up.
Lots of sand from the lake.
You can see the summer fun.
That was a lot of lake sand,
a lot of little Sharp
Shopper cracker crumbs,
and then my secret van cleaning
weapon trick is a spoon.
I can get most things off of
our seats with a good spoon.
Well I know what it looks
like when you have carpet.
It’s just a nightmare.
So at least we can take a Swiffer
or a mop and mop this floor.
So I’m gonna keep my funky old van spoon
in here and my broom.
Like if this was a planned cleaning,
could’ve had the Shop-Vac
out, would’ve been helpful.
But this was just an impromptu.
I saw the state of this
van and I thought no, no,
we’re not going nowhere in this.
See, there’s some good
pencils and some shoes
and little odds and ends.
So pick up trash, trash gets pitched.
Pencils, Gabriel’s collecting
pencils in his pencil bag.
I’m gonna put the car seat back in,
but we’re almost ready to go now.
So we’re in Costco now getting lunch.
I ordered a big pepperoni
and cheese pizza,
got myself a salad.
We’re gonna have our cheap
Costco meal before we shop.
Liam’s got his bag of money.
What you got, $30 in there?
– I got $21 dollars and 07 cents
– Awesome, and Daniel, oh no!
– A pizza piece.
– Well you cut it, baby.
I’ll get you another
one, eat that, eat that.
– I gave you that though.
– You got $1, but you can’t,
that doesn’t go far in Costco.
Daniel, that’s what happens
whenever you cut your pizza, man.
It can fall apart.
This is my momma salad.
We’re looking at Costco now.
We’re in here, we got
two carts ’cause we know
we’ll fill them, looking at
all these beautiful couches.
I like that one.
– Oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah.
– [Jamerrill] You like this one, Liam, oh.
– You have to push the button on the side.
– [Jamerrill] Look at that, nice.
Hold up, wait a minute, we
need a replacement globe.
So guys, it’s always hard to find globes
when it’s outside of the
back to school time, 28.99,
you want that so bad for your drawing.
– Yeah, yes.
– Okay, well they’re 8.00,
and I’ll probably have you split some,
but pick which pack you
want and we’ll split them
amongst you guys.
Liam, should we go for the brown globe
or should we go for this globe this time?
– [Liam] I think this globe
looks so much more live.
– [Jamerrill] You pick which one you want.
All nice vacuums, look at that, very nice.
And then over here
we’ve got laundry totes.
– Oh, look at this guy.
Not that ours would ever be closed up,
but these are space saving baskets.
They pop up and down.
– oh that’s cool.
– That’s cool.
This is definitely
something I want in my life.
579 though, so no today, Zerg.
We’re visiting the
Vitamix, hi Vitamix, wow.
You all tell me, I think that’s
a really good price for one.
– [Boy] Mom, look at that.
– Cheese aisle, definitely
I have a thing for feta.
There’s some feta and then
where are those little Babybel.
– We need sour cream too.
– We do.
We need all kinds of things.
Hey, they got big 15 pound bags
of golden tomatoes
yeah, potatoes for 9.99.
So Liam, get one of those
and put them in Zion’s cart.
Thank you.
Yes girlfriend get your tomatoes.
Liam, let her have the joy
of gettin’ her tomatoes.
So, we’ve never had the
cotton candy grapes,
but we’re gonna get one pack to try.
Go put those in Zion’s cart.
Oh yeah, so big 40 box 12.99. Happiness.
We’re gonna load in our milk.
Everybody’s gettin’ two in.
You got two?
Get it in, get it in.
Walk it around.
Look at that, it’s a
Kitty Sill that’s so cute.
The boys are excited because
they have money with them.
Yeah, so you could buy
that yes choose wisely.
Yes, mass hysteria I’m letting everyone
pick out one Costco book oh my goodness.
Yes, but it’s a special treat.
– I wish it had some noises
[Jamerrill] This one doesn’t
have noises, the other one you
had had noises.
So this is always the
best deal on tomato sauce.
I have a ton right now but it’s 3.39,
and it is from what I’ve always seen,
yeah, it’s sugar free.
And so, it’s here at
Costco, 105 ounces, 3.99.
If I didn’t have a bunch I’d get four or
five of these now.
We’ve been out of foil, so Gabriel get us
one of those big ones, they’re 25 dollars,
I’ll have to hold your book.
There you go. And, you
put that underneath.
There you go.
Are you excited about your new book?
So we have all of our stuff here waiting,
but then, what’d we have
to get on the way out?
– Ice cream
– We didn’t have to, but we
figured it out huh Daniel?
So here’s the back of the van.
So, I just put the Diet Coke in,
but now we’re gonna
load up everything else,
and still have a ton of room.
Okay, so this is Amelia’s
Create A Face, yeah.
This is Daniel’s Busy Noisy Farm,
Miss Naomi that looks fun,
and look they get to color.
– Yay.
– Origami color papers yay.
– And then Benjamin doesn’t even know,
Benjamin, hand that to Benjamin honey.
– Benny look at your book.
And then Gabrielle and Liam picked
out some dinosaur books.
And then I got, ’cause we
live in a Shenandoah Valley,
I got a hiking guide.
So, it showed all kinds of trails,
I didn’t even know where they were.
We made it back.
We are unloaded.
I’m gonna show all this to you,
gonna let you know all the grand totals,
and also so many of you had been asking
me for updated pantry, and
freezer, and refrigerator
tours, so once I’m done with
this massive Costco haul,
stay tuned because I’m also gonna give
you tours at the end once
we get it all put away.
So, let’s have a look at what is going on.
I will also let you know,
I’m gonna jump into food, I really am,
here we go hold on, hold on, yes, yes, yes
it’s gonna happen.
I’m gonna let you know
meal plans and all that
stuff as I check so
let’s look at the food.
So, this haul is so deep and so wide,
I’m not really sure where to start.
I guess we’ll just start down here.
Yes, got myself this broom thing here.
You get two brooms and a
dustpan for 19 dollars.
I was so thrilled and excited about that.
Then, we picked this up, a new globe.
About 5 years ago, I got
that globe over there,
and just like the little
tape around the middle
has slowly picked off,
so we’re home schoolers
we can always use a second globe,
and we will just have that
out here as our center piece
with all the food.
Got myself a thing of their laundry pods,
these were 19 dollars.
Got some foil, and then
I got myself this desk.
I have a little thing
that my laptop sits on
that sets it up a bit, but
I really wanted another
one of these lap trays again,
so I could set my laptop
holder on top of that
with my neck.
Sorry, I realized I’m
holding the camera sideways
you probably don’t appreciate that.
That was also 19.99.
Then for the kids, we got
this big pack of pens.
I am going to divide the
out amongst the kids.
We got lot’s of drawing
and creativeness going
on so, there you go kids.
And then I got this pack
of black Sharpie markers.
I basically, I only need one of these,
but we’re gonna decorate
for vacation bible school
at church on Saturday.
We’re doing a lot of wrapping
the walls in brown paper,
and drawing pyramids and such,
so I just thought we’re
gonna need more markers.
That’s why I got those.
And the globe, the lap
desk, the pens, the markers
laundry detergent, and the foil,
these are the items I bought
within my grocery budget
that we can’t actually eat.
And that’s just that for today.
How do you like that?
So, butter.
I got four packs of the Costco butter.
Well, I got four four packs,
so 16 boxes of butter. That’ll last a bit.
I got myself some more Feta.
Got a big pack, a big block of
Philadelphia cream cheese,
I wanna make some low carb cheesecakes.
That’s where that inspiration came from.
I love their little snacking
mozzarella at Costco.
I’ve never tried the marinated kind.
What do you have in you marinated kind?
I probably should’ve checked.
Okay, but I thought that would be
just something different right?
Mama’s gotta try something different.
I got a bag of rock hard avocados.
We got six fresh English cucumbers.
Four total of these packs of baby carrots.
I thought these were a pretty good deal,
they were 5.69 for a two pack.
I looked at the kids I said,
are you feeling carrots
’cause I got ranch,
and if you want carrots I
will get these. (laughing)
Just got one pack of tomatoes,
I probably should’ve got two.
Then, all the berries.
So this is like a berry mama haul right?
Cancel out some of my recent
Sharp Shopper snacky hauls.
So, we’ve got our cotton candy grapes.
We’ve never tried these,
but we will try these
tonight with dinner.
I got four packs, ’cause this
fruit is just all in season
right now, of blackberries, I
got two packs of Raspberries,
two big things of
blueberries, and I think these
were 5.69 each.
I keep saying 5.69 I
better check my receipt.
Okay, hold on.
Yeah, raspberries 4.99,
blackberries 4.49, blueberries 5.99.
So, there you go.
Those are some of the great prices.
Then I got two of the big purple grapes,
and two of the red seedless grapes.
My kids will roll through
all of these grapes
within a week I would say.
I mean at the most,
we’re gonna go through
grapes, we’re gonna go through
all of this fruit, this
is not lasting a month.
This is a week here.
If we have it they’ll eat it,
and they will plow through this,
and that’s great ’cause it
needs to be eaten quickly.
Other vegetables such
as these carrots here,
and the pears, they’re
gonna be around longer.
We actually have three
bags of apples I believe in
the refrigerator as well.
So, we’re good on some fruit.
I didn’t get any bananas,
but once we roll through this,
and if I do a little fill in haul,
you’ll see that I will probably do,
it’ll be many weeks till
I do a fill in haul,
and I’ll probably do bananas then.
Anyways, I got two packs
also of sweet cherries.
They’re in season they were 7.99 each.
We got four watermelons,
watermelons, yeah.
Four pineapple, they were 2.49 each.
Four packs of these Brussels sprouts.
They’re already trimmed that’s nice.
Two big packs of pears.
These are five pounds,
so 10 pounds of pears.
Then some dried fruit just to try some
different things.
I got one big pack of apricots
and one pack of dried mangoes.
Thought the kids would like those.
Got myself a bag of almonds to hide.
This is Travis and I’s thing right now.
So, we will hide the almonds.
So I like to
whenever we do the samples at Costco,
if I have a whole bunch
of kids taking samples,
I usually get one of the
sample things at least.
So we’ve got this Crystal
Light lemon iced tea.
I will probably take this to put,
maybe whenever we go to the lake.
We’re hoping to do two lake days in a row.
‘Cause I mean summer,
it’s just going fast.
Sorry you got talking hand
and the Crystal Light iced tea
here for a minute.
Summer’s going fast, and
we’ve had lots of rain.
So, we’re gonna try to make up for it and
get two lake days in this week.
Got some more almond butter.
One pack of mushrooms.
A big five pound bag of beautiful lemons.
I feel like I got
another thing of peppers,
but I’m not seeing it so
maybe I just thought it.
But I got, okay, apparently
one pack of peppers.
A 15 pound bag of these new
gold potatoes for the kids.
These will be just dinner side items.
And a great big thing of onions.
And these potatoes were 9.99.
I guess I’m just rollin’ on
down to this side of the table.
So I got two things of shrimp.
These were 15 dollars
and some change each,
Several kids love to eat shrimp with me.
I got two, three pounds
total of their chicken,
and the chicken is like 19.99 or 23.
Let’s go to the receipt, let’s
go to the receipt Jamerrill.
Mkay, chicken, mozzarella, pork loin.
We’re lookin’, we’re lookin’.
So, those dried mangoes if
you wanted to know are 12.99.
Those were pretty pricey.
Globe was 28.99, just
rollin’ through this.
Chicken, the chicken.
Yeah the chicken was 23.99 each.
Okay, then, this was another
sample that we tried,
and I though well, a lot
of the kids liked it.
It was these potstickers
chicken and vegetable.
They actually said, well the kids said,
mommy this tastes like egg roll in a bowl.
So, we got two bags of those.
I got two big bags of cauliflower rice.
This is in the individual packs.
I find that helpful for myself.
I eat cauli-rice, actually I’m
about to say half the kids.
So, yeah four or so of the
kids will eat cauli-rice.
Travis will eat some too.
I got a big thing of green beans that
was 6.99 for five pounds.
So this is something,
I just thought I would try this.
I mean in one way it might be silly,
in another way it may be a lifesaver,
and you know I’m all for mama life savers.
If I had zoodles, or zucchini spirals,
if I had these ready to go,
I would use them even more.
So, I got two boxes with myself
and my mama meals in mind.
And, I can put all kinds
of different things on ’em.
And if they’re just already spiraled up,
we’ll see, we’ll see if I
find those valuable enough
or not.
Okay, so then just all the meat.
Yes, we need to order another cow,
and I haven’t done that yet.
So know meat wise, when
I show you this meat,
that’s what’s going down.
A lot of freezer meals.
Tomorrow I’m going to
do 10 new freezer meals.
All the meals are low
carb, and keto friendly,
trim healthy mama S meals,
gluten free, sugar free,
several of them are dairy free.
So, we’ll be workin’ that up tomorrow.
So, a lot of this meat is for that,
and then a lot of this meat is also,
let’s just say Travis wants
to grill a bunch of burgers,
or Travis wants to do some steak,
or something like that.
I do hope to order another cow.
If you followed my buying a whole cow,
we finished that ground beef,
and I do think we actually
have a few of the steaks.
And I have a bunch of the
bones to do homemade beef
bone broth still,
and I have some of the chickens from the
chicken bundle I got.
So, on my to do list this summer,
I think there will be another
cow available in September,
I don’t have it ordered
yet and I need meat
in the meantime, so
we’re doing Costco meat.
Any who, back to the meat.
Okay, so we’ve got four of the big Costco
packs of bacon,
and then I told Travis I got two of these.
Perfect world, he likes
to do fresh burgers,
but we can’t have it all man right?
So, this is ground sirloin,
I got two of these.
They were 19 dollars and some change each.
Then I got some ground beef
for many meals coming up.
This one was 6.98 pounds,
it was 3.69 a pound.
So, 25.76 for this bundle.
I got a pack of pork loin top loin chops,
2.79 a pound, this is 5.69 pounds, 15.88.
We got another pack under
there, pretty similar pricing.
Then I got a pack of beef
round top round steaks,
5.99 a pound.
This is almost a 5 pound pack for 27.91,
and another one pretty close underneath.
Then we have some flank steak,
and Wooo!
9.49 a pound.
So when you all wanna know,
why you buy a cow?
So, whenever we buy the cow,
it’s like all the many
hundreds of pounds of meat
end up being five dollars
and 50 some cents a pound
plus it’s grass fed, pure and holy cow.
Any who, just saying. That’s
why I like to do that.
But anyways, so 35 dollars,
and I got two of those.
Again, this isn’t necessarily even just
for one month.
The freezer meals that
I’m doing which are gonna
be with a lot of the
pork, and the chicken,
the pork, and the chicken, and
the ground beef down there,
these are gonna stretch
for the rest of the summer.
So, yes, said amen on that.
These sweet Italian sausages,
this is 13.99 and it’s a two pack,
and I got two of the two packs.
Then I got a pork loin boneless pack,
and this was almost 10 pounds,
it was 1.99 a pound,
so 18 dollars for that.
That’s always a nice deal.
Then we have some beef round top.
This was 5.99 a pound,
so it was 30 dollars.
I got two, two of that.
And then, this is my
other pack of ground beef.
So, total meat wise,
I was about 300 dollars
just for the meat down here,
but again,
10, 11, 12 people,
most nights you just reuse it right?
We don’t loose it that’s for sure.
So, I’m going around
the back of the table.
Got myself a great big thing of…
No, this is not what I thought it was.
But that’s okay.
The kids were happy to get a
thing of chocolate milk mix.
That’ll be gone probably two weeks maybe,
maybe three maybe four.
I doubt four.
Big thing of shaky cheese.
We got 10 gallons of milk.
Milk was two dollars and eight cents each.
I got some non stick spray,
big pack of yummy goodness for the kids.
Three things of ketchup,
we always need ketchup.
My mama treat, Diet Pepsi,
maybe I’ll only drink one a day.
I’m getting’ ready to do
a lot of freezer cooking
so, I betcha’ it’ll be more
like three or four a day
whenever I’m chuggin’
through doin’ all that.
Now, we also got 2 things of sour cream.
Here is my mayonnaise I was thinking of,
and then here is my heavy cream,
and I’ll tell you all my total.
Okay, so my total for
all of this behind me is,
(child screaming)
that’s Benjamin running down the hall.
Wow Benjamin you have a fun time?
You all squeaky clean?
– [Benjamin] Yeah.
– Yeah? Squeaky clean time.
1 thousand one hundred
dollars and 24 cents.
There’s also,
Benjamin you having a good time?
You like the brooms? (laughing)
You and him can go put the brooms,
or he’s off, he’s off.
He’s doin’ something else.
So, now we will put this all away,
and I’ll show you where we
put it all for the month,
or six weeks or eight
weeks or however long
this rodeo’s a lastin’
So, I thought for something different,
I’m gonna show you what the refrigerator,
my refrigerator’s gonna beep at us though.
I’m gonna show you what the
refrigerators the pantry,
the other refrigerators,
and the freezer look Like
before I put everything away,
and then what it looks like
when we do put everything away.
How do you like that?
So, here is our house refrigerator.
We are out of milk, didn’t get any bread.
That will be upcoming.
But, any who, we got
some sausages up there
that are defrosted that
we’re gonna use up,
some little egg squares that I’ve made,
the leftovers from that,
last nights dinner.
Refrigerator’s beepin’.
There’s some freezer
meal soup I had set out
the other day, five pound bag of potatoes
that I’m gonna use in a
freezer meal I’m recording
for tomorrow night.
Any who, and then you can see fruit wise
we had around, we’ve got probably close.
Two five pounds of apples
here between what’s left,
we have some mandarins, a
red apple, cheese sticks,
and this is a little bit of yogurt.
And pantry wise, I just
did a cleaning video
recently showing this pantry,
but yeah, that’s the state of the pantry.
Didn’t really get too much
pantry stuff this time.
Again, in our lake days
that are coming up,
this last box of the baked
squares from Sharp Shopper,
and these crackers, probably those chips,
I mean these things are a goin’.
And that cereal if you remember that
I told you was already gone,
we got one box of that left too.
So, here’s what’s happening in here.
There’s my brand new dishwasher that has
not found it’s new home inside yet.
This is what I call my
old house refrigerator.
One loaf of bread left there,
one thing of almond milk,
five dozen eggs,
hummingbird feeder, and yeah.
Freezer on this side does
not work like a freezer.
It’s still very cold, and I would use it
for refrigerator items,
but it doesn’t actually
freeze any more.
This is the refrigerator Travis and I
got at our first house 20 some years ago.
Still goin’ strong woohoo.
This, what is in this freezer right now.
You may remember in a recent
Wal-mart haul a few weeks ago,
I got this stir fry.
Still haven’t made it yet.
Still have lots of pizza dough in here,
and other freezer bread, still
have a few freezer soups.
Some more of that blueberry
bread, some stuff thrown
haphazardly in this door.
But, that’s what’s in this freezer.
Still have some of the
mark down deli meats
I had got in a mark down
sausage at Sharp Shopper.
So, the light is out in this refrigerator,
but it still works just the same.
So, I’ve got three things
of almond milk in there.
I am always scared of
running out of almond milk.
I love it so much. (chuckles)
So, we have some mandarin oranges,
half and half, egg whites,
there’s about half a
box of eggs left there,
and some more cheese.
And then, I left my key for
this freezer in the house,
but I’ll bring that out again.
Not much in there now anyways.
With the 1100 dollars that I spent,
as you can tell I still need to get bread,
and there are still some household
items that I need to get.
People always ask me,
(muffled) grocery budget,
so, run through that if you’re new here,
and just recap and lets
you know what’s happening
if you just watch every single video.
So I usually spend about
1250 to 1500 a month.
Including everything.
That is groceries, that’s
fill ins at Sharp Shopper,
Benjamins gonna talk to us now.
That is toilet paper,
shampoo, diapers, wipes,
all the household stuff.
And then, also many of the
things that I say are for a
one month trip, but then like you know,
with my freezer meals and
such, I have many freezer
meals that then stretch
out for four weeks,
six weeks, eight weeks.
So that’s where I will
have some months where it
averages out where I might
come out for a thousand dollars
start to finish.
I might only spend 750, 800 on groceries,
and another 250 to 300 on household items,
because the pantries are well stocked up.
Other months, I will stretch
all the way up to 1500
because I’m cookin’
ahead, I’m freezing ahead.
Okay, so then back in the pantry.
You’ll see some new things in here.
So, I put the Diet Coke in there.
I got the potatoes and the onions,
put some of the dried fruit and ketchup,
but yes, this is our closet pantry. Yay.
Okay, and then my dirty refrigerator
that I need to clean.
There you go.
I already had the kids put four
Diet Coke’s in there for me
for tomorrow.
So, here is how we have everything.
A lot of the fruit that we
need to keep rolling through
is there, and I still have
space for leftovers and such.
Those were some leftover,
we did s’mores at
Benjamins birthday party,
and some of the marshmallows
just started to melt,
so put them in the refrigerator.
So yeah.
And then here’s where our
pineapples are gonna live
on the counter until they are
just ready to meet their destiny.
So, this one not much happening in here.
We’ve got some butter there,
a thing of sour cream,
lots of room for bread
and things to follow.
Nothing new got put up top here,
but then in here
Dun, dun, dun.
This one got jammed up deep and wide.
So here’s where all our milks are,
there’s more fruit.
Again, sorry for the lack of light.
Still got cheese other fruit up there.
Got somethings in the door here,
and I hope your ready to
see a loaded down freezer.
Yes, yes yes.
I just unlocked it with my key.
All the things, look at this, yes.
Jam packed.
So friends, I hope you
enjoyed all that shopping,
all that haulin’, all that puttin’ away,
and how do you like all that?
You don’t have to stop watchin’ my
super mega massive grocery hauls.
Yu can click right here.
I have been doing grocery hauls on
YouTube for five years now.
Yes, I can’t believe it but it’s a thing.
See you next time with
another brand new video.
Bye Bye.
