Today we are going to discuss about the food items to be eaten during monsoon season.
In monsoon season we have craving to eat something hot or warm.
In this season we also have problems related to infection and digestion.
So I’ll start by fried food items which we crave for & I would like to give substitute for that.
I would suggest you to take Soups instead of taking Pakora or any other fried snack.
In soups you can prefer tomato soup, you can take lentil soup or vegetable soup.
But make sure that we take clear and homemade soups
We’ll keep sharing the recipes of some homemade soups in our forthcoming videos.
We shouldn’t take ready made soups, we can also take homemade Rava (Semolina) Idli with freshly Sambhar,
We can also take Bhel (Indian Snack) also we can take an another food item i.e Roasted Corn
It contains 132 calorie in itself, but if we compensate it then we can even enjoy Roasted Corn as well.
I would recommend sugar and diabetic patients to avoid this food item as it is high in carbohydrate.
They can take berries (Jamun )which is available in this season.
Apart from that Peaches, Pomegranate, Apple & banana.
We should also focus on freshly and seasonal fruits rather than cold storage preserved ones.
Do not prefer non-seasonal fruits and vegetables, avoid them because chances of insects are high in them.
We should also reduce the intake of Tea & Coffee and emphasis on Herbal, Black or Green Tea.
An adequate quantity of any of these tea, fulfil the craving the eating or having any hot or warm food item.
Which is also good for our digestion.
One more thing to be careful about is, most importantly we should avoid Spicy Food in this season.
Don’t take spicy food also don’t take salads and vegetables in raw form.
Normally we take raw salad but in this season taking steam salad is good for our health.
Due to monsoon and rain, veggies get infection so we should avoid eating them raw.
